Hidden gem in Malaysia, if you really want something peace and quiet, and don’t mind paying extra, here is the best place to be.

The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, amazing views and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms (there was even a private pool and hot spring pool inside your villa. Overall, I had a great experience inside villa and staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect to celebrate my special day with my fiancé!

Wonderful discovery. Excellent service. Quiet environment with excellent restaurant in the cave. It is sometimes possible to visit the wine cellar of the owner.

Shafarina Amirudin and I stayed here for a peaceful, one night break. The staff were helpful, the rooms comfortable and the facilities were good. In the evening we dined at the Jeff's Cellar restaurant where, as we were the only customers, we enjoyed a long leisurely dinner. Unfortunately, around 3 AM we both woke with severe vomiting and diarrhoea. This was constant, extreme and was to last for the next 2 days resulting in my wife missing work. The staff provided medicine and we took a late check out. On check out, a member of staff who said he was the "General Manager" began to negotiate on what parts of the meal we should pay for and what should be removed. He also began to suggest that maybe we had been ill when we arrived (we weren't ill and had not previously eaten that day). When I suggested we call in the authorities to arbitrate, he backed down and removed both the meal and the drinks from the bill. The room had been prepaid and there was no suggestion of refund or of any compensation for having contracted food poisoning from the restaurant. We had wasted a lot of money. Although we had a good time before we got ill, we were unable to enjoy the remainder of our stay and these events mean that I am unable to recommend this resort.

Hospitality 200% good. Food are very tasty. Staffs are very loving and serve extra miles just to keep the visitors happy. Highly recommended by us.! The GM Michael was very friendly.

Very much enjoyed my stay. The staff are extremely attentive knowledgeable and helpful whilst being discrete. The food was delightful — tasty creative and well presented. The caves were a nice surprise and well preserved in a natural state. The rooms were very comfortable and made full use of the hot and cold pools. I enjoyed also the outdoor hot pools and reflex pool. It's an amazing water feature the geothermal pool. World class facilities and ambience.

One of my fav place in the world. Been there twice. And I would go there again. But of course the place is not cheap. For upper class ppl. But must visit at least once and u won’t forget ur holiday spent there.

One of the most peaceful place on earth I have ever visited great for meditation and wellness. You simply have to eat in cave restaurant — rated one of the most magnificent bars in the world by CNN — built into a cavern of a 260 million-year-old limestone hill with some of the most spectacular cave, also this place is one of the most unique wine bars in the world where guests can savour an extensive range of organic and rare wines from around the world.

I had my birthday celebration here for 2D1N. I choose the garden villa for my stay and it has a private pool and also jacuzzi and the room and everything is clean and spacious. The staffs are so friendly and helpful. After I went for dinner at the Jeff’s Cellar and there is a birthday decoration prepared by the staffs when I back to my room. They are so lovely and consideration. I had a pleasant and comfortable stay over here! Love this beautiful place!

Simply the most relaxing hotel in the world!
The manager greeted us personally which was a lovely touch and took us on a mini-tour of the resort. This is my idea of paradise with true 5 star treatment by all members of staff. Go for a garden villa as the large pools are lovely to relax in. The amenities are second to none — they think of everything — they even give you insect repellant and mouth wash! Jeff’s cellar restaurant is spectacular and the food is excellent. Also the breakfast is amazing. They even give you free access to the list world of Tambun next door where we saw lots of lovely animals.
This place is well worth the money spent!

If you’re seeking for a quick getaway aimed at relaxation, you have to visit this place. Outstanding customer service & amenities, exquisite food and gorgeous atmosphere. Beware of mosquitoes though but don’t fret, they provide insect sprays for your personal use.

An incredibly great resort. Absolutely relaxation in harmony with nature in the middle of hot springs. Cleanliness and equipment of the villa was perfect. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. The stalactite cave restaurant has rounded off the stay even more.

This is a very surprising retreat center in Ipoh, Perak in Malaysia. Free spa, hot springs, gym, meditation center all the facilities when you stay. It is not cheap, but definitely worth it, very relaxing to blend yourself in the nature. There are private and public hot springs as all rooms come with built in pool and nature scenery. I would recommend to stay for 2 uninterrupted nights. NOTE: kids under age 12 is not allowed to visit.

My life is not gonna be the same anymore. Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat is by far the best place I have visited in my life. We initially booked for two nights but we decided to extend our staying for another night as this place truly mesmerized us. Staff are really good at their job and were welcoming and professional, making you feel like you were in paradise on earth. Managers Alex and Ray also made us feel very welcomed. My opinion is that this place should be visited by couples or friends and no kids and/or no yelling should occur as this should be a relaxation place where you truly recharge your spirit by visiting the crystal cave, the meditation cave, the dipping pots and enjoying the food at their restaurants. I also suggest the "Jungle Walk" which will take you from the resort to the next door "Lost world of Tambum". We cannot wait to return to Banjaran HSR. Thanks to all the staff, you are fantastic.

Very tranquil, quiet and serene environment. Room is spacious and clean. Luxurious spa! However, Pamela restaurant is somehow is big disappointment! I would give a 0 star for the food served at that restaurant.

A perfect getaway in Malaysia! For a local company to run such a gem, it's absolutely a surprise! Perfect setting in a natural hot spring environment where one can dip into in their preferred schedule, and many more activities to be involved in, I have no more complain. The staffs were absolutely perfect, as they are polite, courteous and extremely helpful. Highly recommended and I'll be back very soon! Ps: do not forget to book in advance in the Jeff Cellar… Easily Michelin 3 stars.

Incredible! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Banjaran Hotspings Resort and couldn't recommend it highly enough. I am eight months pregnant and from the moment we arrived, staff couldn't do enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible. A special mention must be given to the general manager, Alex Castaldi, who was so welcoming and attentive. He kindly upgraded us to a magnificent villa which was located closer to the main amenities, meaning I did not ha…ve to walk as far. We enjoyed a wonderful meal in Jeff's cellar, an amazing experience dinning in a spectacular cave, millions of years old. The chef created a bespoke menu for me as I couldn't eat some of the food because of being pregnant. The service was excellent. The whole experience at this resort was 5 star from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. I would thoroughly recommended the Banjaran Hotsprings Resort. Beautiful surroundings, well trained and attentive staff, delicious food and brilliant facilities. Go there!

This is a restaurant, but it is beautiful to you will feel unreal secret, I do not believe, but it really exists, no matter the day, night, have a different appearance, especially the cave restaurant, the Million-thousand stalagmites and unique style of the restaurant layout, exquisite French cuisine, will definitely let you have an unforgettable dinner, I believe you will also like!

Wow. Wow. Wow. This place is so greaaaat. I cant believe it existed. There are so many things to compliment about this place. First of all, the staff, they are so friendly to the point that you want to hug all of them. The place it self is sooo beautiful and full greens and so many things to do. Their complimentary visit to the last world amusement park only added an extra fun time an admiration for this place. Their villas are so good I never wanted to leave. I would recommend this place a thousand times. And I will absolutely go back again if I had a chance.

We have a wonderful stay. Service was great. We. Dined at Jeff Cellar, it was a memorable experience to be able dine in the cave. Awesome experience! Spa service and Fine Dine. Experience. Hot dip pool is a must try! You never want to miss out.

A lovely stay. Extremely romantic and private. The staff were helpful and the ambience in Jeff's Cellar is not to be missed. The quality of food could be a little better though as it was just alright. Be ready to splash out some money though.

Loveliest getaway tucked away in a corner of perak. Great vibes in within nature, filled with caves hot springs and lots of other lovely amenities to enjoy. Great when you want to step away from the bustle of the city to take life at your own pace. Enjoyed the friendly service & breakfast offerings as well. The resort even gave complimentary access to the nearby lost world of tambun. Banjaran is definitely a spot not to be missed! recommended to stay two nights or more for the full experience. ☺️

Luxury redefined. From the moment we stepped into the place, we were treated with utmost attention and made to feel like we're the most important people there. The whole enclave is nested among lush vegetation amidst towering limestone hills, providing a surreal yet relaxing atmosphere for its exclusivity.

We decided to celebrate our anniversary here. We booked the garden villa based on the reviews that we read. The drive up from KL was pleasant and the resort is just 15 minutes from the highway exit. The villa was spacious with it's own private pool and hot spring jacuzi. The staff was courteous and will go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The food served during breakfast is made to order and it is delicious. We loved the freshly made pastries. We had a wonderful time there and look forward for our next trip there.

Awesome place to visit. I have been in many resorts before but this one is something else. Be ready to pay a premium but totally worth it. Also don't forget to visit the lost world park spent 11 hours there and had a blast. Best of luck on your travels.

Excellent retreat, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Great place to keep your mind off work and enjoy the great nature. Staffs here are friendly and hotel amenities are superb. Also try Jeff's Cellar located within the resort as it provides a unique fine dining experience.

Such an amazing relaxed resort with exceptional facilities. Staff are all very friendly and diligent, catering for every need. The hot springs, spa and pool were all to a very high standard and reflected luxurious indulgence whilst the food was superb. I would definitely recommend looking at some of the packages as they reflect good value and ensure you get to experience a few of the treats. As with most places in Malaysia the wine is relatively pricey with the cheapest around £60 a bottle, beers, cocktails and food all well priced. It's hard to find fault anywhere with this place — a great hidden gem!

This resort is a very unique place with its surroundings and setting. Myself and the wife spent three nights here. The staff cannot do enough for you and our room (mini villa) was out of this world. I would highly recommend the Banjaran and would certainly return in the future.

A cozy, relaxing, yet serene setting in the heart of Malaysia. We stayed in the newly renovated Villa. Complete with jacuzzi (with Hot Spring water), a Dipping Pool (with continuous water pouring in, giving a relaxing natural sound), really high ceiling with all the amenities of 5/6 Star comfort. The highlight is Jeff's Celler which is 1 of only 3 caves in the world to have a restaurant inside. It's amazing, stunning & comfortable. The staff inside was great. Service was fantastic, the cook came out to ask for feedback (nice touch). Wouldn't hesitate to come back. Improvements: Spa team.

Went for 3 nights in the water villa with my wife for second honeymoon. It was very lovely and quite, although we did come during weekdays. The breakfast is not "buffet" style so you have to order what you wanted. When we wanted to order more, although they allowed, I got a feeling they didn't like us ordering so much even though we finished it. One of the workers made made a comment "you order two things already! " The rooms were very spacious and it was very scenic. I loved our private Jacuzzi. The "sweet spot" is overrated. The people in general was really nice.

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was a simple awesome. Being surrounded my mountains, enjoying natural hot springs jacuzzi and pool in your spacious Villa to dining in a limestone cave. Service was fantastic, they really cared and paid attention to details from constant room refresh, to sweet treats Everytime they visited the room. Plenty of free stuff like Dr. Foot, free message, foot reflexology and yoga. My favorite part was dining and winning in a natural cave. Book this place, you will not be disappointed!

Make no mistake. The Banjaran is a very high class resort. However, with the high price comes with almost the best weekend stay I had. The room was large, with a private jacuzzi and small swimming pool. The staff was attentive to our every need, and we were pampered with fruits, bottles of red wine, and local Ipoh delicacies like the Heong Pngh which they placed on a nice box in our room. There are pools with warm geothermal water outside in the common facilities for you to soak in, a large 'steam cave' as a sauna, a warm swimming pool and a fish spa where you can soak your feet for hours for the Doctor Fish to exfoliate your feet. In addition, a daily itinerary of activities allows you to do Yoga, Tai Chi, or stretching for free! 3 Days and 2 Nights is more than enough to enjoy what The Banjaran has to offer, and we look forward to coming back again in the future. Tips: There are daily walks to the jungle/Lost World of Tanbun inclusive of free entrance tickets to the park. But don't bother spending too much time there, The Banjaran itself is more posh and relaxing!

This resort is the best in Perak. Situated near a limestone hill with natural hotspring this is Nirvana for me. Staff are friendly too.

What should I say, a fantastic hotel. High class. They even have malay traditional music playing to welcome the guest. This place is highly recommended for honey mooners.

Outstanding customer service. Each staff was very friendly and welcoming. They upgraded our room for free and even provided a cake for my wife’s birthday. Room was unbelievably comfy. Scenery was outstanding. Private pool and jacuzzi were relaxing. They even gifted us with a souvenir which we never ever experienced when checking out in any other hotel. Definitely would return here in the near future. If there’s one place to forget all of your problems and reenergize, this is the very place to be. Thank you very much for the hospitality.

Great retreat. Friendly staffs and service. Everything you look for tranquility and relaxation is there. Except for the mosquitoes even with the repellent switched on. They have got a trick to scare to monkeys away and it works.

Excellent! Absolutely wonderful to refresh and recharge. Perfect to enjoy intimate moments with lots of activities that can be done together. 2nights stay would be the best. Definitely recommended and will come back again.

I can't wait to go back. The place is remotely beautiful, the service is excellent and the villa is so perfect in its own way. It's a great honeymoon destination if you plan to stay for the ambiance and even the facilities like the spa and hot springs. I love the private hot spring at the back portion of the villa — it gives me the best privacy I need for my own relaxation and still able to enjoy the serenity of its surroundings.

Amazing experience. The staff were very accommodating and did not mind sending buckets of ice to the villa. I signed up for an Ayurvedic massage which included a consultation with Dr Daniel the resident doctor who has Ayurvedic training. A sightseeing trip to the local temples with Zam as our driver/guide, was very informative and he did not mind taking us to the local supermarket and also showing us how to get to the Gerbang Pasar that evening. An extra surprise was the birthday cake that was waiting for me at the villa. Banjaran is definitely a place I will revisit when I need to relax and unwind.

A person to live here for at least two nights is worth the price. Too many places to go, I think I would come here again. This one had more time to play here. This is a gem.

Resort in the midst of 280 million years old hills. Very peaceful and very luxurious. Must experience.

Nice place to relax, hot spring water is piped in to the rooms. Nice caves with hot springs acting as a natural sauna. Even have a meditation cave. If you get the lake chalet, u can feed not just the fish but the friendly monitor lizards.
