Loved my stay at the resort. The view from our room was amazing.

From the point of view of comprehensive convenience, this resort can give you the complete package of wonderful accommodation with luscious grounds (pool spa pond etc), great food selection and all kinds of beach/other activities. The ever friendly and graciously helpful staff will make your stay all the more memorable special thanks to Fidya at front desk, attentive reception/housekeeping/activities etc staff and the hardworking waiters/cooks all working tirelessly round the clock catering to our every need. 1) The best part is the beach, clean blue water Very relaxing place due to less crowd.
2) Excellent manager (Indian Guy), cool guy. — sorry forgot the name.
3) Love the room decoration, nice ambient, cleaning room, spacious room. I really like my room facing pool and beaches.
4) Reception (Fyda) very helpful and friendly always smile
5) Breakfast can improve, have more selection of food and dessert Other than that it is pleasing, definitely will come back.

I would recommend this place because of its affordable promotions. However, the food and service needs major improvement. 1. Food.
The buffet BBQ dinner is RM48/pax. But to be honest, I feel the food is so-so. The lamb is decent but other than that, the rest of the food is not very 4star quality but still tastes decent. There were alot of flies and some of the flies even got stuck inside the tray… lol, I had to open the tray to let the fly out. There were flies on the oranges and other fruits as well. I wouldnt recommend you to get the buffet meals in the resort. 2. Accomodation/service.
In my email, it states my room is to be facing the pond. When we checked in, they gave us a different room facing another building. When I wanted to request for a change, at first they said our rooms are already checked in (which is quite absurd). Luckily, the supervisor came out from the room and changed our rooms.

Very peaceful tranquil serene place. Facilities was a bit run down, what they lack in the facilities they make up with their friendly service. Two staff that worth mentioning will be front office, Eugene and the FnB Raj. Both of them went out of their way to make our stay memorable and exciting. Given a chance, we would return there again for our next stay.

The location is very nice, nice view. The dive center is profession. Dive master, Mann, has a lot of experience.
Room is quit big for me, any problem the mainteiner comes very fast. Buffet is ok, hopefully can have more seafood in the future.

Food is unexpectedly delicious for a resort buffet.
The missing score is for the mobile data coverage. I have to stay around the lobby to stay connected to social media.

Pretty clear beach, really love the Seaview room and all the nice view nice activities My husband have booking the candlelight dinner, best view and Thanks the best staff — Abdor Rohman, afternoon already help us to decorate the table, flower and the all really appreciated your helping let us have a romantic candlelight dinner.

WORST SERVICE ATTITUDE! I call there to ask package, then one chinese woman scold me, she said "if you buy package online, not buy with me, then dont ask me" and hang on the phone！I call back and she dont want to answer the call！ I send email to complaint and they ignore it！ THE WORST HOTEL I MET!

Came here for my honeymoon and book suite room. The room is satisfying. Spacious room with king-size bed and a really comfy main hall. Very suitable for couple on honeymoon like us. The TV, refrigerator, water heater and air-conditioner are working well. The best thing about this room is the toilet. A nice and warm jacuzzi while enjoying the beach view with soft breeze was the one thing we cannot forget. The pool is really nice and clean! They have special area with 4 meters depth for you to test your diving skills. We had our dinner, lunch & breakfast (as it was included in our package) at the resort's restaurant. The food were so delicious and they served it in buffet style, so you will have variety of food to try! Friendly staff, good service and nice view at affordable price. Very recommended.

Used to be better in some ways… The food has either stagnated or gone downhill. Breakfasts are a gamble, at best (eggs if you're lucky…). However, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are kept in good order. Food issue easily solved by going to one of the other 3 or 4 restaurants outside of the resort. Update for 2018. Food much improved, I'm happy to report.

The resort is average with but of great value for the price we paid. However the staffs there provide really good services with all smiles most of the time. And they are ever ready to help you with whatever you may be needing. Their snorkeling is also very organised and safety precautions are done well! Would give it another go after some years when the corals have recovered.

Overall Nice environment. Food… out of minimum standard. Beer are cheap Only bread n salad are standard. Day 1 better go walk around n survey the whole village. Day 2 dont waste ur time on snorkeling cause is sucks. The guide. The timing. The coral spot.

By 12pm u need to depart back to resort for lunch Day 3 9am standby for feri going back. Reach mersing 1pm sucks waiting The food in the village are much better but morning breakfast. Not many stall open. Best for scuba diving but not for snorkeling Can snorkel at jeti area. More coral tho

Opted for the romantic getaway package and it was a beautiful surprise for my partner and I. Staffs were really helpful and friendly. Happy that I chose this resort and Tioman as my honeymoon destination instead of Bali — a uniquely different experience :) ps… we were just missing out on the fireworks!

Recently returned from a trip and I enjoyed my stay! Booked the deluxe suite with my friends and I was welcomed with a beach view with a bathtub. Room is clean and has basic amenities… Really value for money! Seafood at the beach bar was great and drinks were cheap as it is a duty free island. It is a great season to visit Tioman during this period of time.

The room is pleasant, clean, nice & with excellent views. The buffet meals however need some improvement on the taste & by serving more seafood on the menu. You are on the island so naturally guests would expect to see seafood.

Stayed here for one night while we dove in the area. Was clean and convenient with friendly staff and reasonable food. Lots of shops around to buy things and crystal clear water. Had a good time!

Paya Beach Spa & Dive Resort was a terrible experience for us. I went to this hotel for a dive trip and the room was too small with a bed of very bad quality and the bathroom was dirty. Moreover, the bed seemed not to have been made before we came and the towels were dirty. There were a lot of ants and mosquitoes everywhere inside the hotel, even in the room. The breakfast was terrible and numerous flies were landing in the food! Moreover, many cats were able to come and go within the resort (not good for allergies…). Additionally, the staff was quite unpleasant. However, it seems to be the best place to dive according to some of my friends and the dive school and dives were amazing and this hotel is the "less worst" in this place…

Relaxing atmosphere. Nice small island nearby for beach activities. Large rooms with patio where family members can sit and chat which is a good thing as Phone reception is bad. Encourages socialising and gadget free time.

Great beachfront resort. Highly recommended if you are looking to visit Tioman Island.

Place to banish as a European! The Chinese community invaded this place and become noisy, extremely dirty!
We went for scuba diving but I will never go back again!

It's a good resort. The meal set is not too bad. I'm vegetarian, so there were a few options. You discuss with the restaurant about your preference and they oblige. Mosquitoes at night even. With the mosquito coil.

This is Beach Fronting resort with many chalet built and also some facing the swimming pool. Food is localised catering breakfast lunch and dinner. Ala carte order are there too. Room are clean and practical spacious.

Hotel information is small, supplemented as follows: The second station disembark, left to walk about 10 minutes to the hotel, some grocery stores and shops along the road to sell food, the choice is very small, but at least cheaper than the hotel can eat!
The hotel's food is not good early or late, the nearby can also eat is the pier near the Chinese fast fry or hamburger! 1. No hair dryer in the bathroom did not provide toothpaste, toothbrush, mouthwash, soap no small towel only the big bar only provide wall-mounted bath milk or shampoo!
Not written! No indoor ventilation system without shower, only similar to Shower head 2. Room did not provide any bottled water, can only go to the grocery store to buy a socket to own the converter only the hall has Wi-Fi, if using Maxis's telecommunications occasionally in the room can have 1-2 grid signal, or completely no, but in the hall has 3-4 signal (boxes is 5) room bed comfort is good, just the stain 3.
The hotel is a natural environment, you can see monkeys, big lizards in the garden walk, birds, butterflies and so on.
The beach is really beautiful, you can enjoy the bread to fish surprise! The hotel has shift water-related pay activities Unfortunately, no chaise longue, no gazebo (is being covered! )
) Sit and look at the sea! At 6 o ' clock in the morning people work, even if the rush to the boat still wait until after 6 o'clock people to help you check out!

It was a impromptu decision to visit Tioman Island and a great choice to stay at Paya Beach Resort. Unlike the reviews I read, my experience was memorable and I will definitely be back again!

Came here on 29/8/17 with a group of students from France on a 3D2N package. We enjoyed ourselves. Contrary to the reviews I read b4 coming here, this place is good for the price you pay. Maybe the chalets have been refurbished now. Food served during our stay was equivalent or better than those served in a 3 star hotel on the mainland. Rooms were clean with hot/cold water. Bathroom with rain shower. Our package included a half day free snorkelling. So many small restaurants n duty free shops around the resort. We swam on the right end of the beach near a small island n managed to sight turtles n stingrays during high tide. Will be back.

Due to the ferry schedule, we had to checkout at 7 a. M. No DIGI coverage at all. The breakfast buffet was terrible. Didn't take the lunch and dinner buffet due to very limited food variety. Also, there are a couple of restaurants at that part of the island but nothing to shout about. The resort is good for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts. Also, nice sunset since the beach faces the west.

Third time staying at Paya Beach Resort and the resort never fail to amaze me — it only keeps improving and leaving me with fonder memories! Enjoyed my spa massage & the BBQ grill beside the beach. Can't wait to visit this wonderful place again! :)

We stayed for 3 nights at room AD26. We are parents with 2 teenage children. Date 28/06-1/07/2017.
Room: overlooking a pond. 1 queen bed and 2 single pull out beds. Over the 4 days, no housekeeping for the room. No clearing off rubbish bin, no changing bed sheets or towels. Dirty towels have to be dropped off at the front desk to get clean ones.
Food: buffet breakfast is provided with minimal choice. Fried noodles, fried rice, sausages, choice of bread, eggs, fruits, juices, coffee&tea. However, the ala carte menu was ok. Prices ranging from rm12+ for fried horfun to rm40 for a sirloin steak. During dinner there are live seafood. Rm30/100gm for lobster, prawns at rm16/100gm. Robertos and mr. Wong (manager) was very helpful. We had all our meals at the resort.
Diving: my son and I did 2 days diving with the house dive shop. Divers cove. Rm220 for 2 dives with equipment. Please bring your own drinking water as there are none provided on the dive boat. Equipments provided was quite old. My gauge was flooded. And divemaster was very new so they were diving with us instead of showing us things to see. However, instructer and divemaster were helpful.
Swimming Pool: it was dirty. No maintainence, no life guard, no pool towel, minimal deck chairs. All attire are allowed including life jacket.
Others: there is a minimarket in the resort. Sells water, snacks, soft drinks and duty free alcoholic beverages.

Its our second time here, first 1 was great but its a nightmare this time. The Room
The TV is not working, we called the reception, was told still repairing. When its done repairing we only got 3 channel to watch. No Wi-Fi, u hv to go reception to get Wi-Fi, went reception and sit in the aircon room with smelly sofa, try 30 minutes no luck. The Toilet
Toilet got no tooth brush, the bidet nozzle went hairwire, spray 360 degree, im all wet when out. The Dinner
Dinner look like a murder scene, red colour chicken dish, red colour fish, curry, something black that look like deer meat etc… All cold, taste like out from fridge forgot to microwave. By the way, my neigbour are 2 large size reptile that looks like komodo dragon. I am glad it did not went in to my room.

Service: Service is good, no complaints Accommodation : No issues with room, just have to be extra careful leaving stuffs outside, as monkeys will going round. Food: Resort food taste awful, refilling took a long period, coffee too diluted. Would highly suggest to have other available restaurants around. Night activities: Practically none, most shops close at 10-11pm. Only one Chinese shop opens until 3am but is hidden in secluded area, best ask locals for directions. *this island would be best recommends for family vacation, diving, and other corporate event activities.
