The staff is very friendly. The price for the family and deluxe room is affordable and the price is included with free breakfast as complimentary from the hotel. Simple breakfast yet the best especially the nasi lemak is so delicious.
Quite good place to stay. One of the budget hotel that come with breakfast. Four types of rooms for visitors. Self laundry is available to those who need to laundry their clothes. Convenient. Easy to find foods outside. The nearest opposite the hotel at night time.

It's a budget hotel, so have realistic expectations of what you are going to get. It was nowhere as bad compared to other budget hotels I've been to around the world. Had a clean bathroom with workable hot shower (and even towels and soap gel are provided). The twin room (2 single beds) was decent and clean enough (hot water available), with the expected soot and dust here and there. TV comes with basic channels, and there is free Wi-Fi (albeit very slow). Lift is working and seemed well maintained. Breakfast is simple, with toast and nasi lemak + coffee/tea. Location-wise, it is right in the city, with restaurants (including McDonald's) and shops and 24-hour gas station within walking distance. Suggestions though : don't take the rooms facing the front of the hotel as it faces the main road and can get noisy. And don't take the top floor rooms as noise from what I assume is from the airconditioning units on the roof gets really noisy at night. Oh, and before you book online, please be reminded that Hotel Jelai charges RM78 (twin) or RM98 (deluxe). It was actually cheaper to call the hotel and make a booking direct with them than what was offered online from the likes of Agoda to Traveloka etc.
