➜ We booked a mini van transport for cameron highlands with wild lodge. The mini van dropped us off halfway to a local bus finish so we could finish the way by local bus.
They charge us 70rm from Kuala Tahan for a direct journey to our destination.
At the bus station, the driver of the mini van pays us a ticket at 8 am for cameron highlands and tells us that it is normal…

A really good valued place in a central location close to Taman Negara national park. I paid in the ballpark of €5 for a clean 8 bed dorm. The view from the room was sensational, overlooking the river and national park itself. There is a free tea, coffee and filtered cold water, good for those jungle walks. There are hot and cold showers and quick Wi-Fi.
The main common area is at reception where you can buy cold beers starting at 10 ringgit. You can also book tours to the park.
My minor complaints are the lockers beside the bed were flimsy and some didn't work. There isn't a ton of room in common area so if big group returns from the jungle it can be a struggle to find a seat. These are minor issues though and I'd highly recommend staying here.
Incidentally to get here solo without doing a tour is very straight forward from KL for cheap. You get a bus from Pekeling bus station to Jerantut for 18.40 and from Jerantut you get bus to Taman Negara for 7 ringgit. It takes around 3-4 hours.
