Booked and then read reviews. We are pleasantly surprised, best value, in a nice apartment, staff exceptionally pleasant as maintenance staff. Ideal location for shopaholics and sightseeing. Would recommend.

There is hotel and apartment. We chose the hotel. The registration took some time as they need to give direction at the same time. Parking is plenty at multistorey parking. Just make sure you know where you're heading to. Breakfast definitely needs improvement by management.

The place is good for family or group vacation. The apartment are big enough for 5 people in one room. Just need an improvement on the furniture. Perhaps you can change some of the furniture in the apartment.

Among a number of hotels at Melaka near its sea, with some hospitals. Accessible to the supermarket (that opens at 10am) opposite it. A few minutes walk to A Famosa tourist site. Needs more than 2 days and 1 night between Melaka and Singapore if anyone wants to visit the musuems at Melaka. Mahkota Hotel provides an apartment area of 2 bedrooms for 3-4 persons. Bring your own spoon in its kitchen if anyone buys the meal from the supermarket.

Spacious. Clean. Good to rest and opposite shopping center. Every room might not be as nice as the one I had stayed. Remember, check out time is 11am. Don't over sleep. Quite high tech I must say. No key / no card. Open by access code. If you book via Airbnb, you will go stright to your apartment, when you reach the door, the host will pass you password to open the door. First hotel to not needing to go lobby for check in. Look nice inside but outside? It look really old and rundown. Saw many horrible review from hotel websites as well. So I suggest you book via Airbnb, because they care about ratings and reviews about their name.

Have issues with the card to enter the door. Furniture and doors in the rooms are super outdated and can notice the wear on them. TV is crt. They don't even run the swimming pool. No Wi-Fi. No toothbrush and toothpaste. Others are just decent.

We stayed in the renovated rooms in the mainblock (block 9). Rooms are spacious, well furnished and comfortable. We had a poolview room which made the stay even better. Food good as always and staff is attentive and courteous.

Strategic location, but rooms n facility is so-so. Only 1 lift was available during my stay.

Spacious rooms and apartments but the place is definitely quite run down compared to all the new hotels that are popping up around Melaka. The place is in need of an upgrade. Plus points are the 2 large swimming pools which kids will enjoy and close proximity to Mahkota mall. We also had their buffet breakfast for RM 29 which was surprisingly good.

Nice place for a family stay. But check out for hospitality. Staffs were helpful. Breakfast was nice. Most of the tourist attractions are walkable distance. Must watch Jonker street. Colourful with lights. Rickshaw's are decorated with lights & minions & hello kitty's. There is Haten hotel & Holiday inn nearby.

Have been here for training department. Need to improve in term of. 1. Food taste soo bad 2. Service counter not friendly 3. Aircond not cool 4. Tap water yellow in color and water problem at 8pm to 1am. 5. Iron not availbe for each room Not interested to come back! Bye.

The location of the hotel is good. Nothing much expectation when having a low budget hotel. Room is big but not so clean. Hotel looks old seems no proper maintenance. But my kids enjoyed the pool.

Location 8/10, a lot of attractions nearby and shopping mall. Price 9/10, cheap. Guard 2/10, just say the name of the building will be able to enter, without any proof. Facilities 5/10, old but can use, only visually some. The whole is still very good, although it is old, but with the location and price considerations, it is worth living.

Great place for hanging around with families and friends. Lots avtivities can be done under one roof. A spectacular view from our unit.

Really never thought of a hotel to play a star, but the quality of this is really let people have no language, after all, the lowest system is a star! Moldy wall, paint peeling, curtains have holes, tile breakage … There are rats in the courtyard …

Rooms look rustic. If you want a rustic and old feel then this hotel would suit you.

A comfortable hotel in a quiet location, next to a huge shopping mall. Its pool is a sea view.

View from the room was gr8, overlooking the straits. Interior of the rooms, surprisingly, were rather well furnished despite its exterior looks. However, despite it being just across the road from parkson mall, wouldn't suggest walking over as there was no proper road crossing-rather treacherous.

Rooms condition: Clean but boring. Old furnitures. Bathroom shower not function. Breakfasts is terribly cooked. Waffle is too hard. Rendang is still raw. Pineapple is too sour. Cheese is sucks. Bread is not fresh enough. By the way, the price is high for local tourist. One bottle of 100plus is RM 10 HOW. Swimming pool is not ready for us. Always cleaning, we don't have opportunity to swim with our children. The plug beside my bedroom is not functioning. I can't charge my phone. Plus the plugs are very hard to find. Cupboard's mirror is nearly broken. Location is okay.

Room and facilities seems to be dated. Budget accommodation and friendly staff. Buffet spread in the main restaurant are decent.

Yellowish water in bath. No free Wi-Fi. No toothbrush provided. Restaurant is nice with abundant choices for breakfast. Gym is not bad, pool is pretty good. There's entrance for disabled.

Nice and cozy apartment. Swimming pool is great with jacuzzi and for kids. Staff was kind. Adequate parking. Close to main attraction in Malacca. But the breakfast was terrible.

Bad condition room. Lacking in cleanliness. Room dim. Not propely maintain. Dull ambience. Fridge n table lamp not functioning. No welcome complimentary breakfast.

It is an old facility. Due for an upgrade anytime soon. The sooner the better.

The hotel need urgent refurbishment. Its the same furniture and setting when I used to frequently stayed here 15 years ago. The shower are not properly working and the water flow are too slow. The slide at the swimming pool cannot be use. The toys at the playroom are mostly broken even my 3yo son doesn't want to go there. The best thing about this hotel is the location.

I believe that this hotel is here over a decade without renovation since they started operating. As you can see old markings are everywhere on the wall and carpets, lack of power sockets, old TV with bad reception, worn thin bed sheet and towels, rusty pipes and taps. I guess a well maintained 2 stars hotel could be better than this room condition. Good thing is, good view here and there are 2 big swimming pools.

The water in the rooms we stayed was not clean. It's not hygienic. Please do upgrades on this water supplies to make your hotel service better. I'm rating it poor. Thank you.

Walaupun a bit old, but masih selesa. Sesuai untuk yang travel with family. Kids enjoy the pool. Berhampiran dengan Mahkota Parade, Dataran Pahlawan, Menara Taming Sari and few other interesting places.

Swimming pool was not properly clean. Lot of dry leaf and look dirty. The door lock mechanism was very old and hard to open. Please upgrade your room. The service was great.

Great location but old dilapidated hotel. Take your money else where and save yourself some heartache and headache. Seriously bad and unmaintained rooms.

Place is a big old. Water came out of the taps was brown. Service was good but really need more upkeeping.

A little bit old 2 bedroom apartment. However I love the location and view.

Big apartments, available parking on weekend, kids loved the swimming pool (0.9m depth & water slides). Rooms, facilities generally ok, but can be better furnished & maintained though.

Nice resort style place. Though weather is hot but it is cool with breeze staying the reort. Good for family with kids — swimming pools, play ground, children place room an more. Wlaking distance to Jonker area.

The front desk staff was not friendly enough. No smile when attending to customers. In fact so confusing to find the rooms. The rooms are old. Needs renovation badly. The water pressure on the 8 floor of the hotel was terrible. So hard to take a bath. Even the toilet flush was poor. The cupboard doors was coming out & nearly broke when opening. The TV is outdated. No remote control. The pool poorly maintain. So much of dirt & slime. The maintenance of the garden also not maintain properly. In face the mini mart was supposed to close at 10pm but by 9pm all the lights were off & a sign said Closed. Building from the outside only look nice but the inside is terrible. The beds were ok though.

Former glory hotel. We stayed at a double room apartment during the easter weekend. Room is very much in need of renovation. Beds are simple, w the feel of a motel. Water was OK, not too much pressure but also usable. Really hot rooms, helped w running AC system. Many of the facilities are no longer in service, such as the minimart or the sports facilities. For the price it was Ok, but somewhat disappointed at what it could have been and was not.

Room is dirty, no towel, hot water not funtion, curton smelly, TV old technology and room very small. Checking very slow and also very expensive.

Upon registration take more than 45min, have to line up for that. Waiting lounge air cond not cold enough and feel warm. Seating very limited and not friendly for senior citizen. Suck service.

The place is decent. Unfortunately, there's an old hotel vibe felt. The room that I rent is an apartment with one bedroom complete with a stove. Unfortunately, no cooking was allowed in it. Not really sure why. Parking is kind of easy to find. Free parking available for guests.

This could not be worse. There is only one spare socket in the living room and we are supposed to have a double bed room which turned out to be a double but firmly-attached-to-each-other bed room. What's the difference between this and a large bed room? And the sheets, the worst of all, it feels like a thousand bug squirming on it.

These are elevators from hell. The rooms aren't that bad and the view is alright but we certainly could have stayed somewhere nicer. Blood on sheets, no toilet paper etc.

The swimming pool is clean. They also have kids pool. No bodyguards on duty. Keep an aye for your children. Condition of room is just ok. Quite well maintained. TV only got free TV channel and sometimes got poor reception. The beds are not well maintained. Got backache. No room service available. Its a apartment with 2 or 3 rooms. The view from my 18th floor room towards Melacca town is beautiful at night. Great for low budget family friendly hotel with swimming pool.

Very old apartments. Hygiene is poor, rooms are filthy, location is not good, no service provided, poor security, will never ever set foot into this place again, rather sleep in my car.

It's suited for short period only. Don't recommend for who wants to go on a vacation but their swimming pool is good thou.

Good for big family vacation. Adjacent to mall. Easy for food and shopping.

I have not lived in the facility, but have only gone through it once. She seems very cold and dreary. The block on the water is not particularly beautiful and from the old Town one is separated by a main thoroughfare without any transfer. For me no place for vacation.

Dirty sloppy hot like dangerous blocks you can figure it out.

Mahkota hotel room apartment — very nice room and living area, nice pool view, have kitchen cabinet, refrigerator and dining table. Toilet with bath tub. Suitable for four person.

Worst experience ever. Bad. This is really bad hotel with bad service. Management staff doesn't even know what customer always right means. Shamefull.

Hotel is of an okay standard. Many plugs in room were broken, there was a pipe leak under the mattress so the room smelled damp and no tissues provided. Service is terrible and staff are not the most friendly. However, the hotel is attractively placed nearby tourist attractions. Please note that there is no appropriate crossing from the hotel; you'll have to walk past a 3 lane highway to get to the mall and everywhere else.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. At about 8pm when I wanted to take a shower, there was no water at all. Was told there was a piping problem and will take about 30 minutes to solve but lasted till the next morning. Shower water pressure was like urinating and also muddy.
