Worst hotel experience, only their pictures looked good. Checked in on 9 aug 19, the room smells bad, and the carpeted flooring in my room remained damp for three days. Don't even get me started on the Wi-Fi. Clearly frontdesk and housekeeping couldn't be bothered, they didn't care to provide toothbrush or toothpaste or even slippers when we checked in and even told us "our hotels don't provide those" I have no idea who gave them four stars. We asked to upgrade our rooms because it was THAT bad but they were all full.

I booked a studio room however hotel downgraded it to superior (double bed). I thought that all studio room should have at least a kitchen? It’s alright cuz initially they put me into a small, old room on the corner of 12th floor with 2 single beds (1218). The toilet bowl in the bathroom sits right next to the bathroom door. Very inconvenient going in and out. Hotel staff agreed to moved the 2 beds close next to each other, but did it by removing room’s telephone line. The Bangladeshi guy who did the refurnish took my card after messed up with half of the room and took my tip. I had to come down to complain and demand a new card then they would agree to “upgrade” my room. Some of the staff were not so helpful. This hotel is quite old and I believe it mainly serves locals not foreigners so it’s hard to communicate with them in English. A good thing is that the new room (1129) is noiseless so I had a good sleep for my 2 nights. Should have made a better research for my Melaka trip.

Spent 3 days 2 nights here last week due to work… I have to say… I'm very impressed with the staff friendliness and the cleanliness of the place… especially the staffs at coffee house… thank you to Mr. Amrose and Miss Atikah for helping me out with my breast milk which was kept safely at your fridge… will definitely recommend this place…

Stay for 2 days 1 night. Really worth it! The service start from the reception to the room was fantastic. We ordered in dining food (char kuey tiow and chicken chop) thought it gonna be small portion but indeed it was worth the price we paid. The room was cosy, spacious and clean with bath tub. For sure gonna come back.

Tastefully decorated room and lobby, buffet with good spread of dishes. Good service and good location.

I'm not sure how you are a 4 star hotel.
Nevermind the facility being old but it's poorly maintained.
No toothbrush and toothpaste provided.

Poor amenities around the swimming pool. Only one place to shower and change and it's called changing room? Men and ladies use the same room and it's right in front of the pool. No washrooms within the vicinity but was at the other end pass the ballrooms.
Swimming pool water wasn't clean.
And a pathetic hairdryer Totally disappointed.

Nice hotel, room is big, superior room comes with large bed and got bath tub. Price is reasonable and buffet breakfast is good. Recommend for family to stay here. Location is great too.

This hotel may look nice on the outside and inside in the main areas, but the rooms is a different case. The main area is little dark and is the registration counter seems hidden. The coffee house looks alright has that Spanish architecture. The food is reasonably good. The liquor lounge can be better and the same case as the registration counter is hidden. Also it seems the place is not functioning. The rooms are quite okay sliding towards bad. The room seems dingy and odor smell. Many of the outlets in the room do not work. The air con controller don't seem to work. The shower in bathroom is not strong and you can't change the shower head to different modes. Please Avillion update your rooms to the 21st century. The good thing about this hotel is in the center of town. Walking to Jonker street is not bad about 25 minutes. Also another plus is the parking is free. This is not a true 4 star hotel.

The only thing that amazes me is the banquet hall design. It is very suitable to conduct imperial ballroom-like event, with the beautiful chandeliers. As for the rooms, they badly needed to be refurbished (from the wiring, to the beds and pillows to the tiles and ceiling in the bathroom).

Air-conditioning was good, too cold for that matter. Bed linens and pillows were comfortable and clean. Room was generally clean. Staff was generally friendly and courteous, no issues there. Free parking for hotel guests. That's about all that's good with the place. There was a bad odour when we stepped into our room. Not pungent, but unpleasant, smelled like someone's body odour. Toilet got stuck few times during our 3 nights stay. Breakfast buffet was plain lousy, in terms of food quality and spread. Would I recommend this place to anyone? No.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Avillion in April 2018. I must say Joe and his team did an excellent job in ensuring the whole reception went on without an issue. They were always on top of everything and handled the event very smoothly. The food was amazing and their ballroom was very beautiful. Thank you to the team in Avillion in ensuring we had a memorable wedding reception.

Read that it is a 4 star hotel so I rated it according to my expectations of a 4 star should be. This hotel has a nice & grand looking lobby. That's it, the 4 star rating ends there. Why? Because
— no toothbrush
— safe in the room doesn't work…
— no bathrobe
— bathtub is old with stain & chipped
— shower gel & shampoo is really bad quality
— swimming pool filtration not working
— swimming pool water is dirty
— only 3 deck chairs around the entire pool area
— Wi-Fi is so slow it is practically non existence
— Breakfast is not worth the calories. Coffee is tasteless & food is either too salty or bland. The only saving grace the housekeepers still doing their rounds in the morning.

1st stay at this hotel. Not as what I expected. ‘Old’ hotel, so the facility also ‘old’. Lack of variety in breakfast buffet and the food quality is a bit dissapointed also. Still got room to improve for the service and food quality. Overall it’s still okay for a short stay.

The hotel has been recently refurbished and is well maintained. The finishes and fittings are grand greek themed, so it needs regular upkeep to maintain the look. When I arrived there was hardly anyone around, at 6pm on a public holiday, so it felt a bit creepy. The room, superior, came with a king bed and was comfortable and clean. There was shortage of hot water in the mornings as large number of tourist need to bathe before they leave. Bathroom ammenities were not much. Food… I was here for 3days and even had a bbq on one of the nights. The food generally was fresh and tasty but choices were limited. Some of the foods prepared for breakfast were cold and hard. So if you come late some choices will be a disappointment. Overall the stay here is good, as it offers a nice comfortable stay and is near enough to jonker walk and the river cruise.

Good place to stay. Big and comfortable. Near to town and other attractions. Flush breaks. Minor issues such as no towel n doormat which was provided after request. Nothing much to complain. If you are not fussy then it would be a great stay. Strong odour near entrance. Old style hotel. Great lobby dome and staff attentive to request.

Nice newly renovated place. Rooms big; better to have companion.

Disadvantages: Old toilet, water accumulation, toilet blockage, request to change rooms, but only let maintenance personnel to repair, room moisture heavy. Leigh: But the room light is good, breakfast food diversification, parking a lot, next door is the oil station, location is also OK.

Pretty old but secluded. Traffic not so congested. If you want privacy. Highly suggest here.

The hotel is at the center of the town which is near to all the tourist spot. Ample of space for car park, very friendly staffs, clean & huge swimming pool. My room was also quite big, it's a studio room. We took the honeymoon package which includes milk bath, candle light dinner & nice room decoration. Overall I'm a happy & I will definitely come again.

Arrived at abt 2.30pm. Rooms not ready… waited for half an hour. Slow service. Finally room is ready. But bedsheet not changed, have traces of hair strands on them from previous tenant. Toilet sink has traces of toothpaste. Bedside light is out. Overall cleanliness is terrible. Room and fixtures/furnitures very run down. Only good thing is room has a good outside view.

5 STARS FOR YOU! Take a suite, stay there and go around Malacca… Everything is near by… Drive by around or call a GRAB, ask them bring you around… Hotel provides spacious friendly parking, no parking tickets! If you're tired of travelling, try the hotels swimming at 6th floor… Good food at Hotel's Coffee house… One of the oldest hotel in Malacca! Enjoy!

This hotel out look appear very majestic, but interior design is not. The room is clean n tidy. Over view is can rate 3 star, no so wow of this hotel. Food is average too.

The location was just on the spot. It's not perfect but it's close enough to jonker but not too close for me to walk. The room was tastefully done with the amount I paid. It was clean, they gave me my room at the right time. The service could be better. As a hotelier, I would like to be greeted by a bellman. The front desk service was adequate but they asked me too many personal questions which I I didn't see relevant. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Enjoyed the stay. Very good for the price paid. Staff were friendly. Breakfast had a good enough variety too. The pool and the grand ballrooms looks really good. Room was also good for the price paid. Could improve on cleanliness a little but otherwise everything was very satisfying.

Very convenient and centralised location. Can Uber and Grab anytime.

Avillion Legacy is a beautiful hotel with its yellow crafty farcade. It has nice marble flooring with spacious room. Howevet, the swimming pool is rather too small to house many patrons.

Good food and pastries. Location is very convenient to Aeon Mall and Tesco. Good service and friendly staffs.

Room is big and comfy. However, this is old hotel so strange odour is normal. Wifi is unreachable from the room.

Appearance of monument building, room furnishings Po old, central air is not cold. 6/f, there is a small swimming pool, overlooking the city of Malacca.
Advantage is located in the city centre, very close to the tourist attractions in chicken Street.

The overall design was outdated and looked like it was in need of a serious renovation. The rooms were spacious enough, although the hallways were narrow and dim. Everything looked somewhat old, but still worked. Wouldn't really recommend this place to stay in.

Not worth the money paid for. Past weekend booked & occupied 4 rooms with my family. But disappointed upon checkin as being informed that the Wi-Fi service will be charged seperately which not as promised in the terms of booking where it says that the Wi-Fi service will be free for 2 hours for each room. Furthermore when checked with the counter staff later, they said it is free for 2 hours as indicated in our online booking terms and will send the password to our rooms shortly but never arrived. Upon further checking with the Front Desk manager a chinese guy, he said it was not free for 2 hours as promised. What the hack. And the password will be only given if we agreed to be charged separately. Some element of cheating here. But when we insisted with the terms specified in the booking, he informed us that the Wi-Fi service for all rooms are out of service, but only available at the lobby. What a cunning manager. So why is it so big deal about this Wi-Fi free service as most hotel are offering it for free to their customers. The rooms are old and smelly, urgently required renovation as they are out of it's outside appealing look. Needless to mention, the water coming out from the shower head was so small/little for all the rooms, showering is a big headache. Waste water for the basin, was not running smoothly causing overflowed. Toilet flush not functioning as well in most of the rooms. Definitely will not recommending to anybody to stay in. Thank you.

The building looks a bit old and they need to refurbish the interiors. The pool looks dirty the last time I used it.

The hotel is not well maintained and expensive. Toilet is dirty and bed sheet got stains on them. I have to call room service because the lock on window is broken. The plus side is that the staff is friendly and they come fix the broken window straight away. Breakfast is also quite nice but probably won't come anymore.

The front desk staffs are really friendly. But the room had some problem. I got stains on the bed sheet n also the bed cover was quite old n a lil bit torn.

My initial stay was excellent! However, my few visits to Avillion were below my expectations! The air conditioning was not functioning properly as the room was warm!

Totally and Utterly the crappiest place to stay, poor in every aspect. The staff just keep making things worse.

Discovered under bed with leftover chocolate and crackers. No thorough cleanup and inspection. Bed also with bird feather. Housekeeping took more than 30mins to respond to your requests. Facilities were old. Toilet bowl spoil. Not worth staying with the price that paid for. Worst breakfast that I had seen. No label and heatup of food. Limited varieties food for breakfast.

The rooms r not as explained need lotz of imprfmnt. Not worth the price.
