Just had breakfast there this morning. I love the roti canai and chicken curry so much. Staff are so friendly. The interior decor is amazing to take picture.

Beautiful single room. Spacious and comfortable. The bedroom looks over the bathtub through a sliding window. Awesome for honeymooners! Food at Warisan Cafe is also delicious. However, the carpets along the hallway gave out some musty smell. So it was quite an unpleasant trip back and forth from the lift to my room.

I pay special compliments to the Reservation team headed by Felicia who was very helpful and courteous to rectify whatever shortcomings. The lounge has pleasant ambience & friendly staffs. Favourite hotel when I go to Kl… good taste food and friendly staff…

I was locked in the ladies toilet for almost half an hour. It was not the food that cause it. Food was great, don’t get me wrong. It was the door lock but what irks me, they took such a long time to get someone to open it; and worst thing is they all left leaving the cleaner lady to handle it. To cut a long story short, I manage to free myself with pieces of wood with the help of the cleaner. Shouldn’t they have better service for a 5 star hotel?

Room is nice & cozy. Washroom are clean include public washroom. Swimming pool with adult & child pool. Cozy ballroom. Nice food especially the fried kuey teow. Well recommended by everyone.

Having great event here. Everything good, our event very successful. My complain on the parking rate ridiculously expensive. Good to know that the hotel provide flat rate parking for guest who not check in here with RM 10 only. Those who don't know, have to pay RM 35 just for 5 hours event.

Super HIGH parking rate. The parking rate is not mentioned anywhere. The price is, … 5rm per hour It's robbery, totally. Please be careful of your visiting there for a while. I parked in B1 and I paid 25rm for 4 hours 2 minutes while attending a dinner program. Otherwise good, at least as far as I went. Good luck…

The international breakfast is great at Warisan Cafe! Should have a try if you're around for travelling or live locally. Variety of choices with affordable price. Personal experience wasn't that good for the event management. The internal communication have to be improved and breach of contract on certain matter happened in the last minute of event. Was unhappy for the incident. However, the room is huge with spacious bathroom as well. Quite comfortable.

Awesome place. Room comes with mosquito if you didn't close your windows properly. Food is good. Valet parking can be improved as the jockey is not easily found after 12am.

I don't means to complain, but your breakfast at Royale Chulan Penang is worst than a hawker centre, the egg is cold, food is tasteless. Sorry if I am wrong.

There was a problem with the shower door that caused a small puddle to form outside the bathroom. The rooms are fine otherwise but I wish there was an alarm clock and some cutlery (even plastic) and a plate or two. I'd wanted to cut and eat some fruit.

There is nothing to say about the room service, the cleanliness, the quality of the catering service. However, the bar whether in the hotel or at the pool is catastrophic, the waiters sleep, spill the glasses, take far too long to serve, has a much too high rate compared to the average of the country.
Noted that part of the lobby is smoking area.

It's a nice and vintage piece of architecture which gives out a relaxing vibe to the customers. Very nice. Food are delicious!

We stayed at this hotel during our family vacation in Malaysia. I was very pleased with the hotel. It's a lovely, old and big hotel with a lot of facilities and friendly staff. The room was decent size with balcony, nice and clean with comfortable bedding. The restaurants at the hotel offer very good service and food. Specially the breakfast restaurant is massive with atrium style high ceiling that gives a very good feel at the start of the day. It's within walking distance from the shopping district with malls. Metered taxis are available from the hotel and most of the famous KL tourist attractions are within 10 minutes taxi ride from here. I would highly recommend this place within its category and price range.

The Royal Chulan captivates with its unique price-performance ratio, besides the appealing rooms a very good and extensive breakfast is offered. The location of the hotel near a modern shopping centre is very good. Within a few minutes ' drive of the free Ring bus service, which is easily accessible, including Chinatown, and the hop on Hope off bus stop, the Petronas Towers are just 10 minutes walk away. If you want to stay comfortably and centrally in KL, come to M. E. Not past this unique hotel, we felt very comfortable here because of the nice staff and will stay here again on our next visit to KL.

I usually came here for Conference or corporate events. The lunch buffet at this hotel is good with a variety of selections from appetizers, main course & deserts. Recently tried their Chinese restaurant at the 1st Floor for CNY lunch. It wasn't a good experience. The food was so so and not up to my expectations and the presentations too… I have to commend their effort to innovate their food, but it has lost the originality of Chinese cuisine.

Very good value or I got a good deal. Contemporary hotel. Had a spa I didn't use but a pool I did. Great in KL when it is so hot. Location is best feature close to public transport. Large bedrooms for price but a little tired and need tlc.

My day? Nothing much except I just got scolded by this aggressive staff from far away, and called me like an animal for just not turning off my car lamp while waiting at junction. I did apologize for my act but he keep mumbling bla bla bla. Hello mr. X (i know ur name from the tag), I just place a report to mgmt for your “sweet” behavior and I don’t F care how hard your day was but since you are still on duty, do your work due diligently or just get lost if you don’t like it. And yes, thank you for ruin my evening.

Very good facilities with pool and super breakfast, smoking rooms without view and small ants in bed/room, also they threw us one hour before checkout from the WLAN. That was not so great.

Place has gone downhill. Did not like the inquisition before they would let us in the door. Apparently some bright spark had rebadged the hotels in the chain to all be called the Royale Chulan so taxis were delivering people to the wrong hotel but it could have have been handled better. Room had torn carpet, most separate lights were not working. There was a layer of dust on the bedhead. Stained sheets and carpet. Bathroom not properly clean. Building sites all around the hotel make noise and also make access by foot difficult. Got the impression that the place was being allowed to run down so the site could be redeveloped. Suggest that there are better options for similar price nearby.

Beautiful hotel and excellent service. Rooms are clean and decent. We even got a free upgrade. There’s even a cosy lounge and the Christmas decorations at the hotel was nicely done. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. They even got their staffs to sing carols! Certainly a place I would recommend. Only thing I didn’t like is that the buffet menu didn’t change and I had to eat the same breakfast for 4 days straight. A few unhygienic practice with regards to food. Yoghurt left out in the open and butter is also left out in the open and everyone takes a little to spread it on their food and leaves the butter knife back. Overall I’d still give it a 5 Star!

It seems like the Warisan Cafe's lunch hour/high-tea buffet spread is a favourite amongst retirees. The 50 percent discount offered to those above 55 yo, encourages us to spend hours of happy time here, within our budget. What is more encouraging is the spacious and well-maintained surau area just above the cafe, which enables us to enjoy the delicious buffet spread, without missing our solat.

Not well mantained :). Could be 5 stars if the glass or transparent ceilings are clean. Nice waterfalls. Need more n better trees near the waterfalls. Food either too salty or too sweet ;-)

The hotel looks quite impressive, big halls, high ceilings, luxurious rooms and lovely Christmas decorations. The staff was super nice and helpful. I liked that hotel a lot, esp the bathroom, the only downside is the breakfast bar. The choice was big, but it was not Western oriented and we didn't enjoy it. Otherwise our stay was pleasant.

My favourite place. What a wonderful experience. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. But the building is magical. The rooms amazing. However the room service and room cleaners are what makes you really feel a love for the place. They all made us feel welcome, spoiled and smiled at us like they were proud to be there making us smile. Thank you for that level of friendliness. Xxxxx.

Kept calling housekeeping to come and clean it up, but no one turned up for 30 mins. 1 star as of now. Finally after a comedy of errors with several housekeeping staff unable to first understand the problem and then solve it, our room was changed. Unfortunately the new room, while fancier, was not the cleanest either. No lizard sighting yet though. Fingers crossed for the next four days. At least I give them some credit for changing our room eventually. So upgraded review to 2 stars for now. Day 2 — Morning breakfast was excellent in terms of variety and taste. Adding an extra star in the hope that nothing else goes wrong. 3 nights to go. Finished our 4 nights without any new "incidents", so I will give it a 3 star. Good property but suffers from poor maintenance and untrained staff. Breakfast was consistently excellent.

A classic hotel to stay in. A wide variety of food offered in main dinning and a nice pool area. Only issue I had was being over charged for dry cleaning. After several attempts with the front desk, I was never able to talk to the manager about the $200+ charge for 5 articles of clothing.

Best hotel in my lifetime travel period.! Staff is very good. And u will get VIP treatment when u check in! I booked delux room. But They upgraded my room to the suite And Don't know why! Clean/beautiful/huge/royal.

Beautiful hotel to spend a luxurious vacation with an amazing view of Twin Towers. The hotel management is outstanding with very polite and courteous staff. The rooms are huge and clean and the interiors are beautiful and very well designed giving ample of space to roam around. The bathroom is also good and hygienic with variety of toileteries. The breakfast buffet has a humungous variety of food to serve all kinds of people coming from different countries. One bad thing is the rooms have very few charging points. I personally loved this place and will want to stay here again whenever I visit Kuala Lumpur.

Hotel is really old but we visited for the Telaga Bunga Spa. Amazing experience, truly recommend it if you love pampering yourself!

We were very positively surprised from the Hotel. Great rooms, super Breakfast selection and close to the Pavilion Mall, where you get everything you needed, Bukit Bintang is also reach in about 10-15 minutes. We would not hesitate to come here again and again.

Make sure you check the strawberry first before you eat. Because they give me the rotten one for dessert. Aigo.

I've stayed here twice, both times snatched a bargain price online. This has to be the first affordable priced 5 star hotel I've ever stayed in without cutting corners on features and great service, the rooms are very spacious, the lobby and corridors have a sense of grandeur and visual appeal. And make room for breakfast because they serve the most incredible magnitude selection of food and you'll need more than a couple of nights stay to try everything out. The modest budget folks will be in for a treat!

I've stayed here a couple of times and never had any problems. EXCEPT: The concierge was enthusiastic to help me get one of the blue taxis (which costs twice as much) but then when I indicated that I would prefer the red one (normal priced), he got much less enthusiastic and told me to just take the blue one because it's not that much more expensive and that if I can't afford it, I should just walk. I found this to be very unprofessional, rude, and also very stupid. Just because I don't want to get ripped off has nothing to do with what I can afford or what I can't (perhaps the concierge didn't realize the nightly rates of the rooms at the hotel he's working at before opening his mouth).

Stayed at The Royale Chulan Hotel with the Indian Women's Hockey team for 11 days and the staff from top to bottom treated and catered for the teams every need. Nice hotel with great exterior and lobby. Really fell in love when I stepped in. The rooms were a bit smaller than we had expected but well decorated. I felt that the bathroom was nicely built but took more space making the room smaller. The staff were nice as well. I really loved the breakfast there. Location wise it is placed at a great location. You are located just 15 minutes from Bukit Bintang and the Pavilion and since we went in December, the whole place was decorated for Christmas. I really loved it. The hotel is also 15 minutes away from the Petronas towers. There was a young chap we liked who showed us shorter walking distance to the twin towers from the hotel that avoided most of the traffic. The closest MRT is Bukit Bintang which is around 20 minutes (walking distance) away. Very good experience overall.

Its a nice place in the middle of KL, just a few minutes to Pavillion KL and Bukit Bintang Road, and KLCC just a few minutes of walking.
