My usual place for dinner. 1st time check-in as in-house guest on 2nd Jan 2020 for 2 nights. Love the enviroment/ambience and staffs are friendly too. Great Job!. Keep it Up! Being here one forgets that you are actually in the city!

A beautiful oasis in the city of kuching, sarawak.
This is a very peaceful place surrounded by lush trees and plants. There is a swimming pool, restaurant and well stocked bar. Very friendly staff who are always happy to help or have a chat with.
I have stayed here on a few occasions as its that sprecial you will want to return again and again.

A home away from home is my view of Basaga Holiday Residences with a homely tropical environment. A great pool for my daily morning swim with beautiful melody from the birds sitting overhead. Those great tall trees in the vicinity provides good shades resulting in a very comfortable cool environment. Do stay at the courtyards room as it is very quiet and peaceful.

Food is excellent but would suggest kids meal selections. Portion is too huge.

After few days to stay here. My husband and I love it. Nice view, friendly staff, Fresh environment in the town area and good services. I love the parking space. Cause I can anywhere in this area. Price reasonable. We will be back if we come to kuching again. See you soon.

A great city getaway and ideal location nestled within a lush green garden not far from popular attractions. Great food and relaxed outdoor lounge area.

Rooms are clean and ok with air condition. The surrounding is great and lets you forget you are in the city; everything's green around the house. The public areas are snugly and full of plants; the staff is *very* friendly and helpful. What else are you expecting? Clear recommendation!

The Basaga would really be a delightful hotel if only there was a little more care.
It's really quaint to think of sleeping in what was once the old school, as are the characteristic floors and rooms (especially those above the pool). The location makes the hotel lower by a star because walking is really far from the center of Kuching: on the first day we tried the walk but the road to the center is very busy and is not for pedestrians.
The pool is not cared for, it looks almost stagnant so we did not bathe. Overall however the breakfast was good and the property nice, I repeat it would take little to make the place really nice.

It's a simple, basic place, but clean and it has beautiful greenery all around it. It's peaceful; the staff are friendly and helpful, so the place is completely relaxing. It's an easy 5 — 8 minute ride into town.

Nice place to stay. Everything was superb. But the pool is quite dirty due to the falling leave. Nice food.

I have been to this hotel and restaurant before, the environment and food there was good. However, when I checked in this week, I went to the restaurant for dinner but when I wanted to order the local dish which is my favourite every time I came, the staff told me that they did not serve the local dish anymore because they had a new chef. I have no choice but to order the western food. When asked when the local food will be served again. The staff told me that he had no idea. I did not know why they would hire a chef who cannot cook the local food! Next morning I went to the restaurant to have my breakfast. I found out they only served the buffet breakfast but without any eggs (boiled, scrambled, omelette). What I saw was something like French toast. I tried the French toast and found it very oily, the chef stuffed the toast with ham and spicy minced beef. This was the worst toast I ever tried in my life! I am very disappointed for this visit to the Basaga Holisay Residence and am considering to move to other hotel next time I visit Kuching.

The place there was very calm as the entire resort was surrounded with trees, giving the impression of staying near the jungle while it is not. The only gripes that I have is the room that me and my friends stayed wasnt the one that we booked (getting a single queen bed instead of single queen bed + one single bed). The place has an alcohol bar for the Halal concerners. Overall the place was great.

Beautiful atmosphere especially while eating/drinking outside at night.

Very slow room service. Upon arriving at 3pm, we were suprised to find the room is very messy. Me and my family have to wait such a long time (for nearly an hour) for the staff to make up the messy room. Breakfast menu is limited and uses cheap stuff (fake coco crunch, cheap butter) that taste awful. Everything else is fine btw.

Like the food. Limited staff to serve. Be aware that you need to wait a bit longer for your food. Price is reasonable. Not sure about the halal certification here.

Stay for 2 nights just beside the pool. Peaceful and calm place good for relaxing. Friendly staffs and fast respond when needed. Breakfast need more variety would be nice. Bar close 12.30am so those who intend to have a drink outside and come after midnight will be a problem because they will close the gate by 1am. Remember to inform the guard if you coming later than that.

Throw back to the early 1900s, it's more of a motel instead of a hotel. Nice grounds with plenty of greens and a stone's throw to central Padungan Kuching. Don't expect 5 star hotel amenities. Wi-Fi is patchy at best and room comforts are reasonable. Good place to escape from modern life or used as a jumping point around Kuching.

In the centre of town but really feel like out of town immediately after entering here.

Good low budget hotel, nice rooms with aircon, nice staff.

Rustic set in beautiful lush surroundings very friendly staff. I complained our shower head was broken and it was fixed immediately. Lovely pool great for kids. Tour with Brendan was very good he could not do enough for us and our kids. Food at the restaurant was good with big portions they adapted menu items for the kids. Great bar. Cheap taxi to the waterfront. Thanks for a relaxing stay.

If u want the jungle feel without travelling to the outskirts, here is a mini jungle getaway vibe. They have a pool and a bar if you just dont want to go anywhere!

Staying in Basaga was the best hotel/resort experience I have ever had. Not only did we get picked up from the airport, but we were practically treated like royalty! All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The pool area was particularly beautiful and it was evident that they put a lot of effort into maintaining the garden and beautiful fish. The food was phenomenal and the wandering cats and kittens were absolutely adorable if shy, providing hours of entertainment. The rooms were also fully air conditioned and included a fan and a wide variety of television channels. The bathrooms attached to the room were the perfect size and extremely clean, as well as the room including the most comfortable bed and softest sheets I have ever slept on in my entire life (seriously, I really want to know what brand they are because they were heavenly). I found out that a percentage of the profits go towards helping the orang utans and that just made me even more happy at how selfless and kind the resort owners were (they were also incredibly friendly). To top it all off, the price is incredibly cheap. The best hotel/resort in the entire world by far.

Reception don't know how big is the room. And ask me to come over for 3 times. End up still cannot view the room or given any information regarding the room. She asked me to search online.
