Vertical Hostel Mavrovo Hostel

Beautiful hostel in the laps of the Nikoforovo forrest. Peacefull place for travellers. The hosts are amazing and very helpful with significant knowledge for the surounding area and activities in the national park. Everything is set, just ask the hosts! Higly rcomended!

Really great place, quiet, nice and Viktor and his girlfriend are really great hosts. Would recomend this place to everyone.

I am not such a winter-lover and I don’t do skiing/boarding. We choose this place for a week-end getaway, and I’ve been surprised a lot  It was my first time being in Nikiforovo, even in a hostel type od accomodation. The managers are great persons, young, very polite, friendly, attentive and helped us with everything we needed. We had a private room which was very small, but comfortable and warm. You must bring your own food, because there is no market in the village. But if you like, you can share food with other guests, so you can cook together, try new recipes and having fun. The hostel is nearly renovated, well furnished, with fully equiped kitchen. It’s a nice and cosy place with daily cleaning, situated in the hearth of the village Nikiforovo (accessed by the narrow asphalt road (it’s better to drive from Mavrovo, not from the side of Leunovo). You can take a long walk to Mavrovo village or Leunovo (it’s about 6-7 km), but you must be prepared wearing full winter gear which includes boots, trousers, jacket, even you don’t do sports. If you like calmness, breath fresh air, enjoying a lot of snow and having fun with people that you’ve met for the first time, it’s good place to choose. It’s a little bit crowdy at the week-end, but if you like full enjoyment and relaxation, you must stay here at least a week! it’s worth for the money and the positive experience! I would definitely come back here again!

Magical place in the middle of the forest. Owners are very friendly! If you are an mountains lover, this is the perfect hostel to stay!

I stayed here for a week with Viktor and even though I was unlucky with the weather I had an amazing time! Beautiful place with great company and I can't wait to go back someday.

Cheap, warm and clean! It's a hostel don't expect something luxary :)

Best hostel I've been in! The staff are really kind and helpful. We felt there like home, it's very clean and cozy. The location is very good, you can go hiking from the hostel to the mountains all around or to the lake and other villeges.
