In "rich" Luxembourg, hotel stays can often become an adventure. While hotels along the Moselle and in the north of the country are usually always clean, the situation is different in the south of the country. The highly rated The Seven Hotel in Esch/Alzette is a new low. Upon arrival at hotel we had to pay the price for the entire stay. In the past, they had had bad experiences with customers who would have simply been cut off at night. So far, it seems that we have not heard of the pre-authorisation of a credit card.
When we got into rooms, we noticed the sweetly penetrating smell of urine stone coming out of the toilet. We asked the reception to clean the toilet bowl thoroughly, but nothing happened. At the second complaint I offered my help to the carpenter, in which I wanted to show her how to clean a toilet under the edge. I also offered to clean the toilet myself if I was given the cleaning products. Both aid was rejected. In the evening we received an email:

"According to our conversation of this morning before you left the hotel, hereby I inform you that I did ask the cleaning ladies to make a deep cleaning to your bathroom.

After the rooms were done, I personally went to verify if the bathroom was properly cleaned and I could notice on a smell, I assure you that the smell is not due to cleanliness of the room but the product itself.

Hotel on the heights of Esch, quiet. Very nice setting, cuisine to discover.

The rooms are very nice spacious with great views.
But the toilet would have needed a revision.

The breakfast is satisfactory (small selection, knives would have to be cut)
Fitness room is available and with extra charge (10€) you can use the steam bath.
There are hiking opportunities and there is also a playground.

Nice and manicured Hotel, in the middle of a wooded area to use park, remarkable. Very relaxing environment with the chirping of birds that will accompany you all the time. Walking distance from the station, but it must be considered that it is 1km all uphill (steep) in the middle of the woods. The buffet breakfast is not cheap (€18) but offers good options between dessert and salty. The restaurant is internally very nice and externally has a panoramic terrace on the green. Great food, not cheap.

Pay Attention to the price offered by the hotel. It is better to book on booking because the prices are less expensive than those present at the hotel. For my experience the suite was proposed at 250 on booking and 350 if you call the hotel. Limit behavior for this type of sign.

Very interesting rooms. Quiet location in the forest. The breakfast buffet looks very small at first sight, but it is very fine and it is also constantly being redefined.

Nice people and nice rooms. Wi-Fi is a bit poor and the food in the restaurant is ok but the portions are a bit small and it is pretty expensive.

Very nice wooded location, quiet, very nice hotel, rooms with design not bad either, on the other hand no aircon in the rooms!
So in the summer, not terrible!
Other downside: Refregirateur does not work, and there it ends up done too, for a summer night!
Icing on the cake (I want it well for the blow, believe it's the fault with no luck), TV that stopped working and impossible to put it back on the road
Other than that the staff is really nice.

We eat well … the hotel is top rooms too. Thank you.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful location and excellent restaurant. It 's a pity that between my first visit in 2016 a'd my second visit in 2017, small problems in de large bedroom were not repaired. In my room this concerns following defects that are quite annoying: the toilet seat, the odor in the toilet and the showerheadholder. Friends complained about the tabourette (unpractical to work) and the sofa.

The hotel is very nice. Great rooms with comfy bed and walk in shower. The restaurant is pretentious but can't live up to it. Ordered the 400g veil steak medium rare and it came well done. Apparently the good got pissed off for me sending it back as the new steak was well cooked but contained at least 100g of fat. Better dine outside!
