We booked one night after we arrived from kampala on a bus! we arrived paid and went the room, when we got inside we noticed the sheets on the bed are torn, the smell in the room is horrible and the shower is not clean. We immidietly got back to the reception said that were sorry but we will move to a different hotel and wanted our money back first they say that refund is not an option, than they said it would take about a week. Currently it has been almost 2 weeks we got no refund, and now they are not even answering our calls. So if you want to avoid dissapointmet just stay away from there.

Terrible customer service, no mosquito nets, faulty TV, pathetic breakfast.

Efficient check in, given a dirty room, that was changed. Dinner was excellent, check out very slow and inefficient. No TV in the room.

If you are a business traveller, Kindly avoid this place. No hot water, there is electrical problems, they recycle towels from previous room occupants, the rooms are filthy. I hope this reaches the owner. It's a nice hotel, just improve on the maintenance.

Good hotel. The crockery has their logo printed on it. The rooms are really nice. The elevator should get fixed though and the carpets on the corridors are starting to wear out, they won't look so good by the end of the year.

National Bank in row with Nairobi hotel owner Posted Monday, February 9 2015 at 19:57 National Bank is embroiled in a row with the owner of Nairobi’s Upper Hill Hotel, who claims that the bank wants to auction his multi-million shilling investment in disregard of a court order stopping its disposal. The hotel owner, Mr Geoffrey Wahome Muotia, claims a judge issued the injunction barely three days before the advert announcing the sale of the “prime commercial property with an estimated monthly income of Sh5.4 million” was run both in the local and international press. At the same time, the judge handling the case on Monday extended the order stopping further interference in the property and ordered that the defendant be served with a contempt notice. In the new suit, Mr Muotia wants the bank punished for defying a court order issued on January 23 that had restrained the bank from interfering with the property until a civil case he lodged against the institution in connection with a credit facility is heard and determined. The investment is located along Mawensi Road in the city’s upmarket Upper Hill area and is estimated to have cost nearly Sh1 billion. Lady justice Farah Amin had restrained the bank and its agents, Garam Investments Auctioneers, from “adverting for sale, selling, disposing or interfering” with the suit property identified as LR No. 209/12544 Upper Hill, Nairobi, until the dispute is resolved.

The Hotel is great I could not believe it was a City Hotel To say the least I wondered "WHO DID THIS NICE ROOM! " befoee I jumped out of bed because in Nairobi Upperhill ' Nairobi Nights ' are completely calm and quiet Early morning a fresh breeze direct from Nairobi National park is purely fresh air. When preparing for my appointment a bird "Barbet* poked my one way window only to be chased by a young monkey with a beautiful rear blue coloured thighs! While walking the short distance to the New Upperhill World Bank offices for my appointment l felt like going back for another cup of coffee at La Bonne Bouche Restaurant and just enjoy the hotel ambience! I am still excited that after three years of construction Nairobi Upperhill Hotel came out as a Masai Mara Lodge in Nairobi Upperhill!
