I've enjoyed the serenity of Brackenhurst, despite the many activities and groups that are accommodated. the staff are friendly. the accomodation is comfortable the food is great the service is truly humbling. the ethos is Christ-centred Thank you for a superb time.

Great service and food. Take a minute to visit the gift shop. Some great value locally made gifts. Beautiful gardens and very fresh air. Lovely escape from Nairobi surrounded by native forest and tea plantations.

My favourite spot to recharge in nature; If tranquillity was tangible, then this place would be it 😊 Amazing service staff too!

The place is very beautiful, peaceful and cosy… just a little bit too expensive.

The food was tasteless and no wine or alcohol on sale. It may be a religious type of hotel but not everyone is religious.

In amongst tea plantations and natural forests and hills, this is a worthwhile place to spend time.

The worst place one could ever visit in Kenya! The service is beyond repair (Pathetic) … Over Christmas you had really hyped up and were offering meals at 1, 800/=. … To be honest that was just a waste of time spent and money! everything was terrible from the meals to waitresses and time taken just to place an order… This is one place I wouldn't ever advice anyone to visit. You leave the place feeling frustrated and angered.

Great ambience and service.

Expect good food. Starters are quite good, pepper steaks are very good. Pizzas are just ok, the chef gets the dough right but not the sauce or toppings. Portions : Generous. Unfortunately, all our visits receive very poor service. Gave up waiting for the few waiters to serve our table. If you choose to seat outside, the wait service is non existent and you could as well get menus for yourself (we actually did this) place the order at the counter and wait. Had to take my steak back to the kitchen and wait for it to go from raw to med-rare. Paid at the gate because the waiter couldn't be traced after a long wait and we had to leave. Really hope the service improves. Service badly needs to be improved.

Brilliant Hotel for any organisation/company that wants to hold conferences and meeting. A brilliant environment for camp site and adventure tours. Brackenhurst is customer friendly and beautiful environment.

Very poor service & the food quality is also nothing to write home about. It took almost 2 hours for our order to be brought. There was also a bit of discrimination in regards to foreign vs local customers. Foreigners seem to be served with due time

This is the place to be now for your conference, team building and spa experience. Beautiful nature trail, well manicured lawns, basketball, football and tennis courts, rope climbing etc. Thick forest and tea plantation rent the air fresh with occasional whistle of Columbus Monkeys and weaver birds. I loved the "make your own burger week"

There is good customer care, the best that I have ever experienced. The place is natural even the food. The hotel was also able to provide warmth since the place is cold.

Perfect get away in Limuru. Perfect colonial architecture. A very ideal place to hold a ceremony for a small number of people, or for a fun weekend plan with someone you love. Loved the food, the variety and the service was amazing.

Beautiful propriety in the misty woods of Limuru just 1h outside of Nairobi. Perfect for families and large groups as the rooms are grouped in spread out on the grounds. This gives the impression you are (almost) alone! Lovely café serves wood oven pizza and good quality buffet. Chilly and humid in the winter, bring warm clothes and closed shoes!

Spectacular very nice atmosphere.

An excellent facility suitable for retreats, team building, and conference utilization. Has very spacious grounds for walking and meditating, somber rooms for accommodation and an excellent restaurant menu to go with. If you're looking for some quiet time this is one place I'd highly recommend. Carry warm clothing because Limuru area where the hotel is located is in quite a cold location.

The food, the food, yum yum! The employees are really helpful. The conference rooms are very nice plus they light the fireplace inside when it is cold. There is a water dispenser in each conference room thus no restrictions as to how much water you can take. Tea is served the whole day in the conference rooms. Nice fresh clean air. The road accessing the place is very good.

This is one of the best and serene environment for a hotel there's even been, everything is well designed from the architecture of the buildings, lawn, the services offered are world class. The hotel specially has a 5star service, the foods are delicious, juicy and mostly enjoyable when you have company. Good place for kids, teens, youth, campers, hikers, the old, everyone can enjoy being in the area. The topography of the area is awesome and breath taking both for photography and normal viewing. But be warned it can be really freezing out on a cold day. The road also is in good condition, security and safety for your things is guaranteed.

Great place to host conferences. Friendly staff who are willing to help in any way. Also a good place to spend a day. Cafe is lovely with good selection of food. Gluten free brownies are amazing and the coffee is perfect. On sundays there is often music and jumping castles for the kids. Great little nursery available here too!

Serene and beautiful environment. The nature walk was refreshing and the service was good. Food is good and ambience is perfect for families. Outdoor sitting is available. There's no wheelchair access inside the restaurant unless one sits outside. The accommodation rooms and cosy.

The place is serene but facilities are old. They need a face lift. The options from the restaurant are limited, hardly any local food served. Other staff are friendly.

Am disappointed. My family and I came here today 14th January to have lunch in honor of my son's birthday, but we aren't happy. We asked for beverages before our food, but they came so late when we had even finished our food. We were 4they brought 3. For food, they brought a plate at a time, I mean, how do you bring the parents' food and the kids have to wait for another 20minutes before their food, which comes also without cutlery! Some wazungus who came much later than us and made their order later than us got their food in record time, complete with cutlery and everything, do I need to state why I think we were given below par service? Not forgetting the fries are a meager 12pieces! The environment is serene and the music nice, but for the bill I paid, I wish I got good service leave alone satisfying food! Ain't coming here any time soon, my son will celebrate his birthday elsewhere.

Brackenhurst has really changed at first I thought it was stories till I visited them today with a couple of friends. The waitress was very rude and the ‘supervisor’ was confused. We ordered a fruit salad asked them not to put bananas we just wanted melon and mangoes and they brought bananas pineapples and melon. Then I ordered a burger it came with fries that looked like for last year and I asked the waitress if they were fresh and she’s like ‘’what do you want me to do with them’’. I told her take them back and later she brought out fresh ones and I asked her you see you can’t compare and she’s like “yes I can” so rude! I was starving and so I decided to let it go and to my surprise the chips were RAW! I called for the supervisor he wasn’t around but his colleague came and I told him about the waitress and my food situation. First of all she brought a brown bread burger she didn’t even ask and secondly the chips after sending them back were raw. So I asked him to come check them out, the guy didn’t even use a fork or anything he reached over to my plate and picked a chip with his fingers and reached for a second and he agreed they were raw. Then he has the audacity to ask us if I should warm them. Like who does that? You finger my food and ask me if you should warm it? My two other friends pepper steak was cold and was sent back to the kitchen and they were warm when they came back.

A very peaceful and beautiful retreat area with a good menu at the cafe to western tastes. The drive up is also beautiful through tea and coffee highlands.

It's beautiful away from the city. Good for meditation self reflection and praying. For guest you pay 100 ($1) — 200 ($2) for Wi-Fi per device. For guest who will be sleeping its free. The charges here are seasonal and thus changes. As for the food expect to be surprised with wonderful mouth watering dishes made by the Chef and you can also watch your food being cooked. Although it's located in a cold area, the hotel does its best to provide first-class quality service for its customers and keep them warm.

A well maintained property… good for team building exercises and conferences… the food in the buffet was, unfortunately, nothing to write about. We did manage to get a very good pizza and tea in the Restaurant. We stayed in one of the cottages (shimba) which, I presume, the management has forgotten about. There were fused light bulbs, the shower cap was broken, the beds were not made when we came back in the evening. Even the kettle provided in the room was dirty, yellowish…

I regularly go for quick drive through the hills&tea farms and end up here. Brakenhurst have lovely gardens and hiking trails and at the end you can feast at their in-house restaurant.

Awesome place. As green was it can get, as quiet as the soul desires and with friendly people, great food. But that pizza… it's either not well done or I have no clue what flame grilled pizza ought to be like. So no pizza here for me for now. The rooms are real good as well, as well as the service coming with them Pricing is quite reasonable.

This is the best place to be in when you are looking for the best climate and good ecosystem. If you want to understand the importance of environment and nature being appriciated. Good fresh food from organic garden and very friendly staff.

Consistent service. Great food at affordable prices, and got to love the lash green surrounding. Find it convenient for breakfast or lunch meetings, if you are around the area. Good for group retreats too. No alcohol sold here though.

It's a Christian owned establishment. It has considerably ample space for family activity especially the young between ages 1 to 10. It also is has accommodation and a quiet environment for meditation and prayer. The food menu is a la Carte. If you would like to experience the Kenyan cuisines like Nyama choma or ugali or boiled meat this is not the place to visit. The menu is also not children friendly. The staff are relatively friendly.

The environment is serene and quiet. The hotel understands that the environment is cold and as such they ensure every individual is warm and well taken care of. The food? To die for! Conference facilities? On point… few technical issues but those are inevitable. Definitely a place I wanna come back to.

Neat views, green grass, lots of trees. I could hear birds chirping :-). If you take the trails you can see monkeys. Had an amazing breakfast fries with guacamole, salsa and egg. Perfect place to get away from the city for a few hours.

Nice destination hotel in Limuru that provides provides a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of Nairobi. Great room and board, the food is amazing. A bit cold but they do try to make you as comfortable as possible.
