Fabulous cave bar with live music. Buffet meals only. Small guest rooms. Some services could be improved on. Lots of the team don’t speak English very well, so of course there is lots of ‘lost in translation’. Otherwise great stay.

Cute, clean and already inside the archaeological site (those staying in the hotels outside must switch to the metal detector even just to get a coffee in the square in front of the visitor center) good breakfast too.

I love this place. By any standard the Petra Guest house is fantastic. The staff is absolutely top notch, and the hotel is gorgeous, artistically decorated, meaningfully historical and ideally convenient (located at the entrance to the Petra trail. I cannot say enough great things about everyone here. My friends had rooms that were not nearly as nice as mine (luck of the draw) as mine had a recent paint job, updated furniture and updated bathroom. The room was not flawless, as there was an issue with the sink, but overall this place is amazing — especially for the price. I also have to say that the other hotels in the area are quite objectively barely livable. I’ve used one before and it was far from meeting even the basic standards of cleanliness (think massive cockroaches in the room). The Petra Guesthouse is on the other extreme. A fantastic place to stay, highly recommended.

The Perta guesthouse is the best if you want to visit Petra early morning. The hotel is right next to the entrance to Petra. It has great facilities and also is known to have an original cave which has been converted into a bar.

Excellent hotel located at the entrance to the archaeological site of Petra. The premium rooms are huge, with sofas at the entrance and king size bed even exaggerated. You will always find two small bottles of water in your room every day kindly offers. Very varied and very good quality buffet breakfast. In the restaurant you can also dine always buffet for 20 JD plus drinks. Overall a great facility, run with very nice and friendly staff.

Wonderful location at the edge of the World Heritage site (there are no hotels on the site), the bar is built into several Nabatean tombs. Very atmospheric! Excellent service, comfortable rooms, clean, great local fresh food at both dinner and breakfast. As it is a great idea to do Petra properly, don’t rush it, I’m happy to recommend staying here.

Petra Guest House belongs to Crown Plaza hotel, great location next to Petra ruins gate, spacious rooms and friendly staff and excellent food. Don't miss a drink at night at the cave bar.

Great atmosphere and service. Stayed in one of the mountain chalets and had a great rest before and after visiting the magnificent old city of Petra. The Cave Bar is brilliant and provides a relaxing and chilled environment.

Great spot. Walked to Petra early after checkout and lovely duty manager have us a room to shower and change before long bus ride back to Amman — thank you!

Petra Guests house is a wonderful oasis in the middle of the desert. Friendly staff, great food and the perfect location for your visit of the Petra ruins.

Petra Guesthouse was an excellent hotel! All the employees treated us very well. Shaddid, at the front desk, especially took good care of us and made us feel like it was no trouble at all. He's the best! Also the waiters and maintenance and housekeeping men were great. I believe Omar is the name of one of them. He was so very helpful! One of our regular waiters was a trainee who did a fantastic job. I'm sorry we can't remember his name, wish I could. We were there on May 23-24, 2017.

Love this hotel! We've got room upgraded to King Bed which is very comfortable and spectacular view. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very impressive. Location is perfect to explore Petra as it's situated right next to the entrance. Wonderful place to stay for exploring an amazing Petra.

I booked a room for one night (19 Nov 2016) from the hotel website and had to cancel because I didn't have a visa to enter Jordan. On 16 Nov, I went back to the website and used the quick inquiry form to cancel the room. I received an email that the delivery failed. So I sent an email from my email account straight to the address on the website. I never received a reply. A week later, I saw the charges on my bank statement. I contacted my bank and they sent me the "receipts". The receipt is the customer copy because they don't have a signed receipt from me. I cancelled well within the two-day cancellation policy so I don't understand why they charged me. I also noticed two new email addresses on the receipts, so I emailed them. So far, one has been returned as undeliverable. I feel like I've been cheated and I would never stay at this hotel. At the very least, they are responsible for making sure the website is up to date so that they are receiving customer messages. It is their responsibility to provide working contact information.

Feels like a motel. The pictures are actually better than the actual hotel which is unfortunate.

Huge rooms, great breakfast and feet from the entrance of Petra.

The best location in the entire city of Wadi Musa. Well priced compared with the big chains (despite now being owned by the Crowne Royale, even though they don't clarify this outwardly). Cave Bar is beautiful and has attentive and helpful staff. Downside is the lack of electrical outlets in the room, which have a kind of faded, 1960's feel to them. The outside of the building is pink, which also adds to the 60's vibe.
