Very nice, the capsule hotel experience is to be done absolutely! Plus a Onsen type bath, very nice! And in the heart of SHINJUKU!

Perfect for emergency night or for small stay. You have a good shower and bath, there is kind of always space and it is not super expensive. If you miss a train or just want a cheap night or quick night somewhere you can head here.

Bel capsule Hotel as first experience thanks to Calabrese in the east was positive, onsen show:D. Great price, but you have to book in advance and online x the discount. To try again if there are no cheaper.
Ah This capsule has the televisions in capsule in my opinion are a bit too bulky and unnecessary…

This capsule hotel was a decent capsule experience as a solo traveler. All female floor which was a nice touch. Check in and out was smooth. It's a tad annoying that you are required to check out each day even if you stay consecutive nights. You must pack all you belongings and empty your locker and when you check back in, you are assigned. New locker and capsule for the night. As for amenities, great offerings. You are provided with two towels: one body and one face, pajamas and slippers. In the shower room, toothbrushes, face lotion, body soaps, shampoo, hair dryer were all provided. 4th floor was the common area. 4 or so vending machines which various foods, snacks, drinks hot or cold and even beer. Washers and dryers on this level as well. Lots of natural lighting and space to eat, play cards, read or just hangout. As Japan is slowly transitioning to more hostel and traveler friendly accommodations, I think some policies and rules will change; specifically the check out every day rule. It was a cool experience as a solo female traveler I felt safe and secure in this place.

Not the best experience: even when staying multiple days you have to empty your locker each day and leave your stuff on open racks (in other capsule hotels you can just leave it), the rooms smell because of a lack of ventilation during the night, I'm 1m89 and I have to lie diagonal and in partial fetus pose to fit (again, I fit just fine in other capsule hotels). Even if you paid for the next night you have to add ¥500/hour you miss the checkout. The bathplace has warm water but not hot water. Better to stay at 9hours for instance or just pay a little bit more for a more decent place to crash.

Uuuuuugh. The. Worst. Marginally better than sleeping in an airport. Airports tend to be quite cold, so this is better than that in that one regard. If you are willing to sacrifice a night of sleep for an experience, than sure, go for it! If you aren’t sure how ignorant and obtuse your fellow guests can be, said “experience” will enlighten you. The actual facility is quite lovely and clean, however the lights stay on all night (currently 2:06am) and a thin white screen closes you in (or illuminates yours capsule depending how you look at it) and you can hear everything going around you (currently a women is removing her Days shopping from boxes and bags and organizing them into her giant suitcase right in the middle of the hall in front of my capsule-at 2:06am). My recommendation would be stay at the Citadines next door if you need actual sleep.

It's Ok. The capsules are quite comfortable in themselves. You have plenty of room to sleep if you're not at grade 1, 80 Tall. Women and men are separated.
The stupid part is that night the light is not made out in the Hallways. And if they mean to blow up their hair at 3 o'clock at night… it can be really tiring.

THE worst customer service I have ever experienced. Had an error with the third party website I booked with and was accidentally put into a male room. Upon check in they insisted this was my mistake and was told it was "my problem". The choice I was given was pay the difference for the cost of a female room the night of arrival or cancel (and be fully charged) to go elsewhere. I understand there was a language barrier but I shouldn't have to shout 10 times the same sentence because someone was not listening to any word I said. Worst experience and very unhelpful staff, would not recommend.

Friendly staff — it's a great place to stay while being inexpensive, although it is a little hard to find initially. Common bath which seems to be the norm for capsule hotels.

Visit here 2 years ago, come again in 2 years. It feels still as comfortable!
A beginning into the familiar counter also recognized me, warmly welcome me back! Took the locker key, specify want to sleep upper capsule, began my familiar comfort bathhouse of a bunch of bird-like spectacular, the water in the pool is still carefree, the oven will be full of moisture in my whole body of gas into every inch of my cell, comfortable capsule mattress is still my favorite! Every time I go to Tokyo, I love living here. NT 670~770 downtown Tokyo where to find it?
The couple must be separated in order to maintain the capsule hotel he "peace" please a little patience these days for the 4 floor of the traffic area, as well as self-service washing machine, but also invincible bonus points, the type of bubble is too complete? My very first Capsule experience! Loved it! The hot tubs and saunas were a big plus in the overall experience as well as the common area where Japanese food is served at a reasonable price. The bed is on the small side but there is a plug and I did not feel claustrophobic. Cheapest place to stay in Tokyo and I had a blast there. However, even if you book for several nites, you've got to check in and out every day by 10am max. And they won't store your baggage.

Excellent capsule hotel, good location 600m from Shinjuku JR Station Nice facility and offers many amenities, from courtesy set with pajamas and towels, toothbrush razor blades and various creams. There is also a sauna and Turkish bath for men only.

This capsule hotel is simply awesome!
Ideally located in front of Shinjuku City Hall and a 5 minute walk from this train station so large that no less than 25 Quay are present to get to all of Tokyo easily.
The staff is adorable, the capsules are much larger than one could believe with TV/alarm clock and electrical outlet and the cleanliness of the hotel is foolproof. Not to mention that for a price defying all competition, you are available daily a clean pajamas and towels. That in the bathroom to the Japanese (naked as a worm on your stool and in collectivity, pudic abstain) you have hot/bubbling/iced baths plus a sauna and a dining room offering breakfast and typical dishes for not expensive at all. (full breakfast, rice, natto, umebushi, egg, tsukemono, tofu for 450 yen)
Moreover, since 2013 it is no longer reserved only to the boy, a girl floor opened.
Besides, the owner owns the entire building, where you will find a Chinese restaurant, a transformist show bar, a karaoke. ^_^ And bonus, Wi-Fi has been free for all for a few years. \o.

For what you pay, it's pretty good. They have a nice set of public tubs you can relax in. The capsule itself was interesting. There wasn't any air flow or ac, so expect it to get hot at night. The content on the TV inside was a trip, you'll see what I mean. Overall an experience.

Affordable accommodation close to Shinjuku station. Each guest has a locker with towels and bathrobe, and has 24 hour access to the public bath (with sauna and jacuzzi). The capsule is clean but I find the TV too bulky and I always accidentally knock into it when moving in and out. I'm lucky to get a capsule in the corner so it's quiet. There is only 1 lift between reception/bath and the capsules so there is a wait during peak hours.

From a Womens floor perspective only. Great staff. Super clean. It's like camping but way better. They supply absolutly everything. (SERIOUSLY) except clothes. Super comfortable. Great food and bar. Such welcoming gracious hosts. Only hotel in Tokyo as far as I am concerned.

This review is from a budget travellers perspective but if you go here with a simple trip mindset it's amazing. Yes you need to clear out by 10 every morning but do you really want to sit around your hotel room all trip? The lounge is nice and relaxed with more than decent food, the bath for men is very nice if you don't mind public bathing, the women's side is very nice but gets hot from hair dryers. They have washing machines and are in central Shinjuku 5 minutes from Shinjuku sanchomae train station. I very much recommend it.

Capsule was really roomy and comfortable. Everything from the capsule to the amenities were impeccably clean. The staff could speak English and were very helpful. All the guests were also very respectful and quiet. Place is pretty tricky to find though. I would look out for the "alex and stout" bar sign as the elevator you need it's right underneath that inside of the foyer. Would and have already recommended this place!

Very efficient place on the whole and worth a stay. Everything down to the towels, shampoos and toothbrushes are provided. Also private shower stalls to my surprise. The women's floor is quite secure. While everyone respects the need for little to no talking and no undue noise while walking, the same can't be said for accessing their luggage. There is a communal place to store your luggage as there's no room in your individual capsule. I was not impressed with the lack of thought people had when accessing their bags. In a quiet environment, banging your luggage around, hastily unzipping it then rummaging around or completely rearranging the contents is thoughtless behavior as the sound travels in a wholly hard-surfaced environment. This could be easily fixed with management enclosing the luggage area. Whether they'll do it, only time will tell. 4.5/5

Would not recommend if staying during summer. Reason? There is no AC! It's not for people who are embarrassed to take a shower with other people. You have to check out before 10am and come back at 4pm. Reasonable price though and of course the staff speak English as well. The location is a great place.

Worst Place to sleep! Noise constantly! Be it at midnight, 2am or 5am! No way to sleep! Free WI-Fi connection! No bathroom upstairs rooms! You have to take a lift and get off 3 floor to go to the bathroom! In the middle of the night… it takes you about 10 minutes to get to the bathroom, since the elevator is ultra rotten! Worst experience of hotel/hostel for life! Go through the noisy reception! of the movements incessantly! A very Teleigha check-in and a very early check-out! I repeat! Worst place do not go! I recommend you find elsewhere. (AIRBNB is perfect! )!
Location Noise ALL the night. Impossible to Slerp there. People going in, going out! 1am, 3am, 5am Alll the time! No AC in the cabin… NO TOILET on the floor You gotta take an elevator to reach toilet 3 floors under! Slow Elevator! If you need toilet during your sleep (if you get to sleep) you are guarentee to be wide awake when your done since it take almost 10minutes to reach the toilet! Wifi connection is so bad! I had to leave the place in order to reach Wi-Fi somewhere else! Cheap! You have to go the front desk and wait everytime you want to go out of the hostel/hotel. Get a card, give back your key etc! This Place is a dump! Even for $55! DONT GO THERE I REPEAT! WORST PLACE EVER!

I wanted to try a capsule hotel while in Japan. I've been following a YouTube channel called "Only in Japan" and the host featured this place in one of his videos. He sold me on it and I'm really happy with the experience I had. The check in process was simple and quick. The facilities are very clean and they work hard to maintain its cleanliness throughout the evening and morning despite the large influx of guests. I stayed with three other male friends and two female friends. The top floor is for women and I don't think they have an onsen, but I was told the showers were very clean. On the male side, the onsen is really nice, they have a sauna, cold pool, and two hot pools. There are a dozen or so shower seats and they provide all the shampoo and shave products you need. When you check in they give you a small personal locker where you can store your valuables. It's large enough for a back pack. Inside is a towel and robe that you can wear around. They have luggage racks for any larger pieces of luggage you may have, but these are not secured so don't leave valuables in them. The fourth floor is the common room where they have a projector playing the TV and some comfortable chairs. There are also tables for working and a kitchen that you can buy food from. The night I stayed the hotel was not so full, so it was very quiet, even in the morning when people were waking up. The capsules were comfortable enough, but as others have pointed out it gets really warm.

Clean, cheap and awesome slice of Japanese culture. Take your shoe of at the door, separate male/female floors for capsules and shared (same gender) bathing facilities. Well worth stay the one night, just make your you get some ear plugs (got mine for a big tax free shop on the main road) as there is no doors (only paper curtains). Wouldn't recommend staying more than one night as you can lay in anyway they kick everyone out between 10am-4pm for cleaning and maintain centre. Most of your belonging need to go into your (free) locker. Recommended you check out golden gai bar area just around the corner, Death Match is very westerner friendly and has no cover change!. ^_^

It was my first capsule hotel so I can't compare it to anything. The staff was friendly and provided printed instructions for things like Wi-Fi password and checkout times. I recommend to get earplugs since some guests can be quite noisy. Everything was quite clean.

One of the largest and busiest capsule hotels in Japan, and for good reason, great location, clean facilities, and a large lounge area. Not the cheapest in Tokyo by far, however, prices will vary greatly throughout the year… Expect to pay Y2, 000 to 4, 000 a night if prebooked through any accommodation website. As with the vast majority of capsules in Japan public bathing is the norm so not for the super shy. The hotel is very popular with western travellers, and English speaking staff are always available.

$45 for a capsule hotel? Also no air conditioning in the 30°C+ capsules, not exaggerating. I ended up sleeping in the lounge because it was more bearable. Worst of all, I got food poisoning from some probably expired instant noodles from one of their vending machines, which literally took a dump on 3/5 of my days in Tokyo. 10/10 would not recommend to anyone who has literally any standard of living.

Only one bathroom (shared), which wasn't really advertised. Wasn't overly clean. Certainly in a shady street. Only channel on TV was an adult channel.

I've had just two capsule hotel experiences so far and this was the inferior experience despite appearing more upscale. Not to say it was horrible but I did not feel as comfortable here. As with other capsule hotels, you have to check in and out everyday even if you've reserved for more than a night's stay. The difference between this and Capsulevalue Kanda is that once you check out, you have to wait until 3PM to check in again. In Capsulevalue, they allow you to check in an hour after their official check out time if you have a multiple day reservation. Another complaint I have is that there was only one channel on the TV and it was pornography. They could have at least provided other choices. Pros include the location in Shinjuku, various bath options and also a comfortable common area. It's still a viable option for staying in Tokyo on a budget, just be aware of the potential drawbacks.

It was nice for what you paid for, I'm 6'3", and I had plenty of space. Good bath, comfortable, with Wi-Fi, would definitely stay again.

Awesome stay! This was my first time in a capsule hotel, first time in Tokyo, and it was totally awesome. I've always wanted to stay in a capsule hotel, and this fulfilled that dream. The capsules were clean, bathrooms were clean, showers were nice and hot, friendly staff, etc. It was a little tricky to find (mostly because I don't speak or read Japanese) but I found it by the help of some very nice strangers on the street willing to give me directions. It was a bit loud at night, people were coming and going at all hours of the night, but honestly I would stay here again in a heartbeat regardless. Very cool experience.

CONS It is a CAPSULE with a curtain only, in a dorm like setting. If you have tattoos, they kindly ask you to NOT use the shower room. Closed from 10-16 PROS Great location, super clean, GREAT lounge area with restaurant, Wi-Fi, quiet, super nice bath (well if you dare to use it despite your tattoos! ;). GREAT for travelers on a budget — NOT couples/ families. Would def stay again.

It's a bit crowded by the lockers and in the corridors but the pod itself is nice and cozy. Don't forget earplugs if you're a light sleeper though, or you'll hear the long snoozers' alarms on repeat. The bath/bathroom area was over my expectations. Overall a very nice stay!

Not tattoo friendly was told it was fine when booking, only to arrive and be told I had to keep hidden due to the tattoo on my chest. The capsules themselves could do with updating. Doors not just a curtain, would help you feel safe at night. Also bring some ear plugs. The TV has no headphone jack, making it impossible to watch with out disturbing everyone around you, what other would. Also you can hear every move they make around you anyway.

Pretty good for the price there is no single gives cabins showers but only a shared bathroom you need to teach besides these, each day, his Cabinet and everything is free lying around the kabsel in the man is asleep randomly taken as the cabinets itiotisches sitem as I think but Oh well.
