Review of hostel DEN 1*

The location is very close to many places like Akihabara, Ueno and Ginza. It is placed in a quiet neighbourhood which makes it a great location away from the bustling city scene, conducive and a peaceful environment. Very cozy place with a shared area consisting of a relaxation corner filled with board games and such, tables to have your breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a kitchen. For those wondering about using the kitchen for cooking HALAL items, they have utensils and crockery especially for HALAL food. A Prayer Room is located at the 2nd floor, albeit small enough for 1 or 2 people, and it consists of an Ablution area in the room. Wifi is considerably fast here. Great staff, very friendly and welcoming. Facilities such as the toilets and Shower Area are good. Soap, Shampoo and Conditioner is provided in the Shower Area in each cubicle. Bidets for the toilet are available for those of you who are wondering if there are bidets. Rooftop is located right after the 5th Floor, accessible via lift to 5F, then walking up the stairs to the rooftop. Very spacious and many tables and chairs are placed there, the floor is laid with a grass carpet. Each bed/bunk bed consists of a Handy phone which is cool. Those of you planning to bring a Universal Switch Adapter, do bring a tiny one to connect to the wall, and then a Multi-entry cube as the space to insert the adapter is flushed into the edge of the bed, giving little to no space for bulky adapters. There are wall plugs available too but it is a bit too far from your bed. Luggage has to be carried up a small flight of stairs before getting to the reception area on the 1st Floor, which is the biggest problem so far. Aside from that, all the floors up are accessible via lift. Overall, the experience is amazing. Met so many people from all over the world. Shared so many stories with each other. Made some friends along the way too! I give it an 8/10. Not a full rating due to the luggage access to the reception area and the bed switch plug.
