A really nice hostel. The best I've been. I totally recommend it, friendly staff, clean rooms and bathrooms, kitchen and very close to the metro. Good choice to stay. Adriana from mexico.

Really nice place in a location close to 3 different metro lines. The staff we friendly and helpful. There were plenty of information booklets everywhere of things to do. The facilities are good except if you are tall, I'm 5"6 and if I was any taller I wouldn't fit in the capsules without curling up.

Very modest lodging for a more-than-fair price. For around $22 a night, you can stay at this visitor friendly hostel. Very good option for backpackers and travelers. While the prices are cheap, bedding and accommodations may be dated and limited but comfortable.

This young brigade I think is OK.
The price is very cheap.
It's a long walk from the subway station.
A Handy mobile phone is available for each bed.
The end of the bed card a TV that cannot be used, the ventilation is slightly stuffy.
The headlights in the room seemed unable to turn on and could only be illuminated through the bed lights. But on the whole I can have a good night's rest.

Excellent staff, amazing amenities. The hostel provided each of us with a phone off of which we could tether Wi-Fi. Showers are very spacious. Everything was clean and tidy.

I had a really great experience here. The staff are very friendly and they gave recommendations for a lot of different activities throughout Tokyo. The capsules are sufficient and there's enough space to stretch a bit. The lounge is a great area to meet new people and relax. For night owls who want to socialize more, the shower room on the 5th floor has a sitting area that's open 24 hours. The hostel is super close to the airport limousine bus station and the subway lines are about 10 minutes away.

Great service, great staff, great amenities, great bedding. And they provided a free smartphone for every guest, so thank you! Close to train station and convenience stores too.

This hostel is one of the best in Tokyo. The shower rooms are on 5F and they are really spacious. The lounge and kitchen is one of the kind, really well-organized and you can see the beautiful river just outside the window when you cook. I will suggest taking Airport bus (利木津）to T-CAT station, it is very close to the place. (Airport-hostel, hostel-Airport) And did mention the crew? They are so nice and welcoming. At least 2 of the guy crews are very handsome (one I recalled is like 瑛太）, I was in love.

I do not understand the high rating at all.
The only positive is the situation.
It is noise from 21:00 to 3 o'clock in the morning. People who come to the property drunk and bang the cupboard doors. The staff doesn't care about the order. From 01:00 to 06:00 in the morning should be quiet. (According to their rules). I booked another accommodation at 2:00 a. M.
This was in the other 5 visits to a Dorm. It was the worst.
If you want to stay cheap and don't need a sleep and don't shy away from a problem with constant noise until the early hours of the morning, this is the right place.

As far as I'm concerned, this is one of the best overnight accommodations for the budget conscious traveler. The staff are friendly, and the facility itself is well kept. The showers have excellent water pressure and heat quickly. The rooms themselves are capsules, of course, but they're comfortable for what they are. Obviously mileage may vary depending on how tall you are.

This hostel was old and smell like it, too. Some toilets in the restroom were outdated and wasnt Japanese flushing system. It was the manual system. The pods are so outdated but it was super cheap. I put up with it for one night so thats ok. They are located by the water and bus stop away from the rich neighborhood of Tokyo. They are far away from all the famous eateries though.

Very nice staff and they will store your luggage if you arrive early which is a big plus. Very nice and clean facilities, with a convenient location next to Teramachidori.

The hostel itself is situated a little further from train stations but if you don't mind walking 5-10 minutes, it's not problem. The capsule rooms are a little cramped but it's negligible. Capsule itself is a bit cramped and can get a little warm inside due to how many people are in the room as well. The bathing area is nicely spaced out. Would visit again if I was aiming solely to visit the tsukiji tuna auction (17 min walk)

This hostel is right on the water with a beautiful view. It's kind of dated but an inexpensive place to stay the night.

We wanted to experience the capsule hotel. I guess, we got what we wanted. The hostel has very lovely and welcoming receptionist, the crowd is mostly young backpackers. Very clean rest rooms and showers, laundry, kitchen, common areas etc. The downside is that the capsule ventilation is quite bad and there is a lot of noise the whole night, people come and go, someone snoring, someone packing etc. The location is central though.

Clean facilities in a good location with large common shared area including a full kitchen! The pods are not soundproof so bring earplugs.

Short capsules (approx 190 cm), but AWESOME bathrooms and a nice public area and kitchen.

Staff are very friendly. Checking in and out was easy. Common areas are comfortable. Shower and washroom facilities are great. The only thing I was mildly disappointed about was that, although they have capsules to sleep in, they have been gutted of many features. The spot for a TV in the capsule is empty and none of the other buttons or dials do anything. As far as hostels go, it has a bit of a capsule hotel feel but it isn't really a true capsule experience… which is fine because they advertise as a hostel.

It's been a fairly pleasant stay at Oak Hostel Cabin. The bed has been comfortable and the capsule is surprisingly bigger than I had anticipated. The facilities have all been good, just limited. There is only one sink in the women's restroom on the mixed dorm floor and two bathroom stalls. It hasn't posted a problem and there are additional sinks on the shower floor. Overall it's been a good stay.

Clean and well equipped. Partly a bit cramped. First-class starting point to discover the city. Good access to the two airports.

I stayed there for 14 nights and wanted to stay there even longer I love everything about this hostel: friendliest staff in the world, very clean rooms, great location near by Suitengūmae station, Kayabacho station and Tokyo Air Terminal. I got to meet fellow travellers from all around the world and got to learn calligraphy with the staff. It has very friendly atmosphere and I always felt so welcomed. Oak hostel has set its bar so high that I am afraid I will ever find any hostel like this.

The owner was really nice and helpful! the room is so comfort and clean and every facility can use very well. We're 10 pple from thailand and this is the first time here, they drive us from the bus stop to the hotel for 3 times. We will come back here for sure!

Capsule style rooms. Small for a 6'2" guy but easy enough to sleep in. Great location and fantastic staff.

Excellent hostel! The staff is super friendly and attentive. Very clean bathrooms, very comfortable and pleasant capsules. The very spacious living room, ideal for making social with other guests. I was very happy with my stay, I would definitely choose it again.

Comfy and a very unique experience, but if you're a light sleeper like me chances are you won't have a great sleep. Bring ear plugs if you're sensitive to noise, or they have them at the front counter.

Services good day! I don't watch on the first floor, crooked foot, small brother to watch my Luggage upstairs, gave me pain allowance, and also help me get, the second floor of the house change to a floor. But what you pay for. No Bath, TV can't see, the address comparison miss.

Good location if you plan to hike to the Tsukiji Fish Market in the early hours of the morning. Clean capsules. Good size communal area for cooking and socialising.

Great place to stay in Tokyo. Beside a river with great view and the place is very neat and well run with knowledgeable staff. Met many great backpacker and light minded lads at this place. The shower is clean and tidy. Capsule stay experience. They even help to recieved my orders from amazon japan. Really helpful bunch of people. Love it!

I just looked for capsule hotels and Oak Hostel Cabin seemed to be the cheapest in the right place. Didn't know what to expect, but I found it a very pleasant clean enjoyable experience. I've never stayed at a capsule hotel before, but now I'll be sure to prefer it over a normal hotel room. The classic capsules are clean and the dormitory was kept tidy too. Toilets on each floor and everything airconditioned to be very comfortable. It felt like there were too many toilets and shower stalls to me. In short I felt at home and would love to go back. The only minus points I could find was the hospitality of the staff. Staff seems to be 1 manager and one part-time (almost minimum wage job), resulting in indecisiveness in less experienced staff. Upon asking what to do with my drenched shoes the manager had to come in. But then the next morning I found they took the initiative to put my shoes out in the sun and my shoes turned out dry. I work in hospitality so I pay more attention to those things than usual. It's really just a small thing and in the end they made my stay a comfortable one. Reason for 5 stars on this budget!

Oakhostel has retrofitted and refurbished capsule hotel sleeping pods to create dorms of approximately 30 beds, which are split equally into two aisles. These capsules are spacious, clean and novel. The staff were good, but weren't as openly friendly as several other hostels I've stayed at in Japan.

One if the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Bathrooms were spotless, beds and comforter were amazingly comfortable, and the location was great.

Wonderful amenities and comfortable beds. Showers were amazing. Big common area with use of a full kitchen and appliances. The staff had tons of maps and suggestions for things to do and were very knowledgeable. One of the best hostels I've stayed in!
