Ambience is hi end, the molecular cuisine so promoted has to be reserved with large anticipation… they just not disclose it properly, kind of disappointed. Rest of the menu is just average. The great part is service, extreme courtesy and insane city view… swipe away my disappointment and I had a wonderful night with my wife… very good wine selection.

Really helpful staff and the view is stunning at our room! A special thanks to Ms. Hilda Poon for welcoming us with such a warm and comforting greeting & showing to our room. Concierge was very helpful with arranging a nice crab meal for our family too. Will be staying here a few days and looking forward to coming again with my family. 10/10 ❤️

I give it 5 stars. My husband and I had a wonderful time staying here. Lounge and restaurants were amazing. The entire staff were very welcoming and provided thoughtful service. The views from the 38th floor lobby were breathtaking. Be sure to check out the men’s room on the lobby level. Room views were just as breathtaking. I highly recommend the drinks in the Lounge, The Pizza Bar on 38th, K’shiki, and also Tapas Molecular Bar (make those reservations early). Looking forward to staying here again in the future, Tokyo 2020?

The hotel is missing a swimming pool and also the laundry service could be improved. Our clothes lost color and shape (I use slim fit polo shirts and one of them came back loose). On the other hand, the employees are great. They made our one week stay more than we ever expected. I can't remember all the names but the teams from the breakfast and the oriental dining were simply amazing (Robin, Flora, Sonomi, Ginko, …). Thank you so much for your hard work, your endless kindness and your forever smiles. あなたの仕事と努力のために大変ありがとう

The best hotel in Tokyo I've tried. Just came from Tokyo peninsula and was amazed by this hotel's service. Flora at the breakfast picked up on that I was going to South Korea next and made an amazing "useful phrases card"

Fantastic hotel with fantastic people!

Amazing cloud cake and limited to 20 weekdays and 25 on weekends. If you want to get one will have to line up by 9:30am. The cakes don’t release till 10:30am. Opening time on weekends is 9am but only available for confectionary, breads, cookies and coffee. Is it worth lining up 1 hour you may ask, yes it is! You will never find another cake like this anywhere else. Inside the white chocolate casing is mango mousse, mango pieces, mango syrup and thin layer of cake. Also highly recommended is the mango jasmine tart.

Our stay was amazing. Everyone really made us feel welcomed and special. I also really enjoyed the fact everyone spoke English, and helped us out. I wanted to give a 10 out of 10 to Shogo at concierge. He really went out of his way to help us enjoy our stay. He also was very personable and just made our stay even more enjoyable. Honestly, I wish we could have a Shogo at every hotel we stay at. He really did a great job!

This was our second stay at Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo. Stayed at The Mandarin Suite which was amazingly spacious and generously appointed. Delighted from arrival to departure. So on point every morning (with in room breakfast meticulously prepared for each of our preferences and dietary restrictions) and upon coming home to the room with myriad of thoughtful surprises for my whole family. Concierge, housekeeping, spa attendants, wait staffs all worked discreetly but went above and beyond. Really a home away from home and truly deserves "The Best Hotel in Japan. " Can't wait to return.

Luxurious hotel, with almost excellent service. The female staff members were very friendly but the male staff member we encountered could improve his attitude towards paying customers. His attitude wasn't what I'd expect from staff of an establishment like Mandarin Oriental in a country internationally famous for its excellent service.

Must go. Awesome View and must try the molecular bar. It's amazing and the story that comes with it. Need reserve two months in advance.

I took afternoon tea at the Oriental Lounge. The food was exquisite, and the hospitality was first class. I heartily recommend this establishment.

My favorite hotel and I am someone that travels quite a lot. To me, if you are in Tokyo and miss this hotel then you have missed paradise! My wife and I still rave to everyone about the hospitality and of course, the INCREDIBLE breakfast we had there.

Just got back from a ten night stay and I cannot say enough about this amazing hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the views are spectacular. Each restaurant is better than the next so I would recommend all of them! Especially the pizza bar! Ito is the best we all loved watching him create such great food and his personality made the meal! What sets this hotel apart is the customer service all of my likes were remembered as well as my breakfast order and fun gifts from the staff. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Tip Top great restaurants in the house.

Very expensive. Some Europeans live and eat here, but the toilets and pizza bar are just amazing. I have not seen such a thing yet…

It's not really up to Mandarin Oriental's other Asian countries. Maybe for the language? I wanted a glass of Perrier; The waitress didn't understand me… etc.

What an amazing experience. Excellent service, Smooth check in and a beautiful room. The sushi restaurant was a perfect night for my wife and I with great sake recommendations. The breakfast overlooking Mt Fuji obviated the need for the any tree.

Spa is beautiful and great aromatherapy massages and bath with a view. The lobby floor public restroom also has a beautiful view of Tokyo.

Impeccable service and hospitality! All the hotel staff are incredibly helpful, patient and attentive. The concierge team went above and beyond to assist us, and they have made our stay in Tokyo so wonderful. Their attention to detail is incredible. The views from the rooms, lobby and restaurant are amazing, and the location of the hotel is very convenient. Definitely hands down the best hotel I have stayed in!

Had an amazing three night stay at this hotel on the last leg of our babymoon. They went out of their way to make us feel like we were getting personalized service and attention. Every meal we had at the MO was outstanding (albeit expensive), especially at the Tapas Molecular Bar where we had the luck of being served by the executive chef. They even replaced one of the alcoholic drinks we had spilled at the bar free of charge.

Excellent hotel. Probably the best hotel in Tokyo. Awesome view from every room. Firm bed. Great breakfast. Good and quiet location. Perfect for the runners too as it is really close to the imperial park. We always stay here when in Tokyo. No better place!

The best of Tokyo, gastronomy, service, rooms.

A stunning hotel in a great location right on the subway. Just don't let your GPS fool you… The hotel is essentially in the middle of the block so make sure you look up for their signage. And while you are there, check out the pizza bar or tapas Molecular.

Went to K'shiki at the top of the Oriental for breakfast. A bit costly but amazing selection and food. Would recommend to anyone looking for blend of American and Japanese style breakfast.

Me and my colleagues were hosted our first 2 days stay at MO Tokyo last week during our business trip. We arrived noon after a Long day of Travelling and we already had the hotel staffs waiting for us on arrival to walk us in right to our rooms and do an in room check in. We were put to ease as we were so exhausted after catching a red eye flight, but that dull moment immediately turned into an excitement. We had beautiful unblocked views from our rooms overlooking the skyline and sky tree. Needless to say MO stands for what it says and they amazed us with their level or service and hospitality. I've had the opportunity to visit and stay in few MO properties and they have never failed to make each visit a memorable one. Just when I thought I had a great stay at MO Tokyo, I am now coming back home from MO Singapore after being hosted for a sumptuous dinner, again! I will have a Long term loyalty towards this brand. Speak of luxury 5 star, they have it all! Forbes 5star property for a reason.

Incredible hotel. Amazing views. Top notch service. You're paying accordingly. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Awesome juices, incredible pastries. Location was great. Tokyo is so big, it's going to take you time to get places. View from room.

The pizza bar on 38th floor was just amazing. You have to try the dessert — chocolate pizza. Really good!

I started my month-long tour of Japan by staying at the Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo. Then the Four Seasons in Kyoto and the Ritz in Osaka. Compared to the other hotels, the Mandarin Oriental exceeded every metric of every facet possible when it comes to service, hospitality, Japanese tradition, aesthetics, etc… like I said, category possible. Their attention to their guests' stay and comfort is superb. Note: the hotel occupies the eight highest floors in the tower it calls home. You'll have a great view of the entire city from your stay here. There's no need to go to the Sky Tree, World Trade, or Tokyo Tower when you can see everything from the comfort of your own bed, bath tub, gym, and restaurant.

THIS is how you travel. The hotel itself is situated on the top floors of the building, thus providing a breathtaking view of Tokyo during both day and night. Room: spacious, comfortable, and with a great view (can see Mount Fuji and overlooks the Imperial Palace). As a bonus, the room comes with two kimonos, which I have tried on, since I'm a tourist. Service: ridiculously good. Firstly, the room is clean and always made to fit for the time of day — pillows propped up at the morning cleanup, put away when we return in the evening; slippers placed by the bed; coffee, tea, and water pot refilled; new water bottles; linens placed beneath the bathroom toiletries. When we first arrived, directions to our restaurant reservations were already printed and ready. When we come back from a day of shopping and sightseeing, concierge delivers the bags to the room while we go out to dinner. They are always ready and willing to oblige our every request. Food: we breakfasted every morning at the Oriental Lounge. The ambience is quiet and peaceful, the view over the city is scenic, and the food is good. The special pancakes are thick and fluffy and light.

Sublime luxury on every level. You'll understand what I mean when your on the 37th floor.

パーティーに使用しましたが、ホテル側の対応に「？」のつくことばかりで、とても五つ星の料金を払っているホテルの対応とは思えませんでした。最初に部屋を押さえようとすると、キャンセル料が多額にかかる契約を結ぶ必要がありますが、この契約を結ぶと相手の対応が悪くなるので、この最初の契約はこのホテルと締結すべきではないと思います。 ①まず、部屋の予約は、仮予約でも多額のキャンセル料の発生する形でしかできません。部屋を借り押さえして、パーティーの人数確認などもしにくいものとなっています。 ②全額前金。それは仕方ないとしても、こちらが出張で忙しいので、出張後、パーティー一週間前の支払いでもよいかといっても渋る担当者。こちらが切れてやっと出張後・パーティーの一週間前の支払いとなる始末。 ③パーティー対応の部署が土日休み。日曜日のパーティーの前日に、病気で来れなさそう人が出たため、前日の一人キャンセルの際の費用等について伺いの電話をかけたも繋がらず。メイン受付にかけ一応役付の方ににつながったも、キャンセルポリシーに沿うとの説明だけで、キャンセルポリシーの内容を聞いても、わかるのは明日との対応。土日にパーティーは多いと思いますが、土日の対応不備は痛いと思います。 ④パソコンのメールを使用し、パーティー準備のやりとりをしていました。メールに気づくためにccで携帯アドレスを入れておきましたが、ある担当者はその携帯メール宛のみに大きな添付資料をつけて返信。パソコンメールに再送するよう連絡しても再送されず、上司に非常識なので注意するようメールをしても音沙汰無し。 ⑤席順はメインテーブルが逆に。。。 ⑥38階のバーの眺めは最高だが、カクテルは頼んだ２品とも水っぽく、1, 800円等の値段はしますが、HUBの方がいいのでは…という内容。 こちらの申込が３週間前と遅めで、バタバタさせてしまった面、ホテル側もパーティー進行の部分ではよいところもあり少し取り返した部分もありますが、やはり全体のサービスの質としては足りてないところばかりと感じました。.

One of the best hotels I've been to. Try the 007 martini or the kir royal at the Oriental Lounge on the 38th floor. The breakfast is divine. The rooms are superb with goose down pillows and egyptian cotton sheet. The views are breathtaking. A pity it's too cloudy today as I can't see Mount Fuji from my room. Great hotel.
