Khaosan World Namba Hotel

Great hostel! we try the capsule room, quite spacious for me. The locker inside our capsule is so small and hard to reach from outside the bed, so you have to go inside the bed to open the locker. Each room has its own sink, but you have to go out from the room to go shower or toilet.

Fantastic location, very close to most places of attraction. About 3mins walk away from the Namba station and pretty near a couple of malls. Staff is extremely friendly and the rooms are spacious and clean! If I were to visit Osaka again, I'll definitely stay here!

A youth hostel with great location nearby Namba station and Dotonbori. The staff is really friendly. Most of the guests are Koreans and Chinese so be prepared for some loud talking at night. We didn't get any sleep. Towels and other amenities aren't inclusive but can be bought for a few yens at the reception. The room is ok for one night but I wouldn't want to stay here much longer, not only because there isn't much space. The room is clean in general but there is a lot of dust in the corners and some small flies in the sink which is really annoying. Also there is a weird smell we can't get rid of since the windows can't be opened. I went to better hostels for a cheaper price so don't expect much.

Small rooms, but very very clean and lovely otherwise. Nice showers and toilets, with hairdryers, and many other amenities. Lovely chill out area with workspaces, and options for breakfast there too. Would definitely recommend!

The dormitory is comfortable and the showers are clean! Amnenitied included. The lounges are a little dead and I haven't seen anyone occupying the bar though : (So socially, it's okay. For a cheap, clean room it's a great option.

A 'fine' hostel. Price about average, good place and clean enough, a little noisy in the rooms as your beds are essentially wooden boxes stacked on top of each other and painted gold. Glad I'm not very tall. Also it didn't seem clean around my matress, I'm a little unsure how often they pull the bed out and clean the area. Also it's not great having to walk down the hall and down the cold staircase at night to get to the closest toilet. Lost a couple stars from me but the sister hostels are great.

Large hostel with comfy beds and great shower pressure. Beds are fully enclosed pods/cabins which gives more privacy. Good communal areas.

I slept in the 10 person mixed dorm. Negative: (*) the beds were horrible. If you're used to thick western beds then sleeping will be a challenge. (*) Little activity (in November). Might be that it's not high season though. Positive: (*) The beds are in an alcove so you get some sense of privacy. (*) Friendly staff. (*) Location.

The hostel is close to Dotonbori. The staff is amazing, they offered great suggestions for food and sightseeing! Ideal place to stay for backpacker, you get to meet a lot of foreigner as well.

Excellent location by Namba station and Dotbonturi. Dorm rooms are very nice. Each bed is in its own little alcove. Everything is clean. Nice bar and lounge.

Great location, just a few steps away from Namba station, and just in the middle of nightlife, restaurant and shopping area. Hostel has a great bar, where it's fun to meet other travelers from all around the world. Staff is very kind, professional and helpful. Great facilities. Highly recommended.

Once again had a wonderful time in this hostel! the beds are comfortable and the staff is awesome! the location is also perfect, all the important things are within a 1km radius from the hostel!
Recommended hostel for any visit to Namba!

Location is very close to Dotonbori (a very popular area for shopping and street food). There are multiple social events throughout the week including Takoyaki and Onigiri making sessions. It is also close to both JR and subway stations. The rooms themselves are nice，but could be more spacious. Air conditioning is fine. Public toilets and showers are available on each floor in addition to the private ones. Wifi can be weak on the higher floors.

Stayed in a private six bed room with ensuite shower. The room is decorated to a good standard and the beds were comfy but the galley design makes it feel a bit cramped and the dividing privacy curtains are rather see through! Also unfortunate was that there was only men's toilets on our floor so the women in our party had to go up or down one. The public areas like the bar and kitchen were well furnished and thoroughly clean when we used them.

Lovely and helpful staff, comfortable and welcoming place. Of course very clean, didn't even seem to be in a hostel. The six dorm room gives you lot of privacy. Close to convenient food store and Namba train station, so perfect location to explore Osaka. I've been travelling a lot and in different countries, this is one of the best hostels I've ever been. Highly recommended!

Arrived yesterday great welcome lovely room and facilities and made friends within ten minutes as soon as I wandered out there were like ska punk bands loads of shops places to eat awesome hostel near train stations activities couldn't praise them enough :)

Staff was really nice, the place overall is huge it pretty much feels like a hotel. Big bar and common area, but they don't let you bring other friends in that don't stay at the hostel which I found strange. Usually hostel bars are open to anyone! Place was super secure and safe, facilities were okay but beds were comfy.

Best hostel with the best staff I've ever met! I miss this place so much and I already want to come back in Osaka to see them again…
Definitely THE place to go if you want to visit Osaka, and you'll see… you'll say the same thing as me when you'll leave this place!
I forgot to say the good location near dōtonbori, all is near to this hostel.
Don't hesitate just book and you'll don't regret it :)

I don't write reviews that much, but this place truly deserves one.
Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, great location, and awesome happy hour at the bar. They host few programs in their bar/lobby throughout the week so it is super easy and fun to meet new people via them.
Only downside I can think of is the toilets/showers. Some floors have ladies room/shower, and the others have the gents/shower. So you might have to go up or down a stair to use them if you are on the "unmatched floor".

A great place for single travelers. The staff are fun and great to chat with. They have great suggestions but at the end of the night the bar on the first floor is a good place to unwind too. The beds are spacious and they have storage lockers that actually can hold luggage beneath the beds. Plus, the location is solid. Stay here!

We didn't get the chance to stay very long, but really enjoyed our time there! The location is perfect, minutes from the areas you'll be headed to anyways, but still tucked away in an interesting neighborhood that has some good grub and, as we found out later, nomihoudais! Hana was an awesome staffer who went above and beyond to help us out in our journeys and ultimately became a friend!
Beds were super comfy and your cubby gets nice and dark — perfect for sleeping in wayyy past when you're supposed to wake up haha.
Facilities were all clean and modern. They also have theme nights almost every night where you can get food or learn more about Japanese culture! Didn't get to check out the bar area too much, but there were always people hanging out in there and it seemed like a blast/great place to meet fellow travelers!
Definitely recommend for all the above, plus some solid rates!

This hostel is wonderful. The location is top notch, the facilities are great, but most of all the staff are amazing people. I highly recommend you stay here if you are visiting Osaka!
