Had the best accommodations. Everything is near perfect. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Location is good. Enjoyed 18th floor bar and the tea lounge.

Very nice and convenient location. Close to subway and JR lines. Right next to Osaka Park with beautiful sakura.

All every corner are very clean and no dust. Restaurant is also serve a delicious meal with reasonable price.
If you think to choose a hotel I will recommend Hotel New Otani Osaka.
Location is fabulous where just in front of the Osaka castle!
Try it never make you disappointed. I am using this hotel more than 20 years. Some other hotels are good but price and facilities and hospitality doesn’t meet the as what they charging.

Probably one of the worst 'luxury hotels' I've stayed in. Staff were polite however you have to pay to use the pool and they won't let anyone with tattoos go for a swim. Great views over Osaka castle, but far away from anything else.

This is a nice hotel, with a great level of service, located far from the busy areas of Osaka. In my opinion minus two, the hotel is already quite old, but at the same time in a comfortable time, the second and most importantly, to get to the sights quite far, long well and not cheap. It's more of a business district. If you want to visit good restaurants, there are almost none. The hotel has nice expensive restaurants, but the prices are not pleasantly surprising. The business district and mainly the food industry is housed in office buildings and is aimed at local employees.

The only good thing in this hotel is kind personnel and big rooms. No free cloth washing, old fashioned rooms with no USB sockets. If you are 60+ this hotel might be the good option. On modern standards I wouldn't give it more than 3 stars.

We really enjoyed our stay there. The place in itself was absolutely beautiful and practically pristine. Furthermore, the people working there were really lovely and helpful.

We stay a couple of days before and we mentioned that we were on honeymoon, they had the detail of giving us a junior suite. Very friendly staff, room very big and clean. With views of the castle. JR and metro to 5 minutes. The hotel restaurants are very expensive.

Traveled to the hotel from Kyoto and found it accessible from multiple train lines. I alighted from the JR loop line which was a 6 minute walk from the station. The hotel is located near the Osaka castle and park. When my companion and I arrived at 12:30pm, the staff informed us check-in began at 1:30pm and offered to hold our luggage. That worked out fine for our travel needs as we were interested in lunch and sight seeing at the castle. We returned later at around 3:30pm and checked in quickly. The hospitality of the staff members we interacted with was commendable. Someone personally showed us to our room, brought our luggage up, and explained necessary instructions and how to reach them at the front desk. The rooms are well accommodated, but not state of the art. We had booked a superior double, non-smoking room and noticed the entire 12th floor was non-smoking. I would recommend paying attention to that preference during booking. The amenities provided in the bathroom was plentiful as well. Overall a pleasant stay at a lovely and well situated hotel.

It's an old hotel but the rooms are kept quite clean. The rooms are big in Japanese standard, the staff the very welcoming too. Overall great experience.

Our experience was impeccable! The staff and service cannot be faulted. Great views of Osaka Castle and only a short walk to the train. Not very close to shopping and restaurants but perfect if you want to stay out of the busy districts.

A luxury hotel with an excellent view, to a side of osaka castle. The rooms are very spacious and offers many services. It has a gym but you have to pay in order to use it. It offers a breakfast buffet with little variety of food. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

First of all, the room absolutely reeks of cigarette smoke. I opened the window for 12 hours in hopes that it would go away, but I could smell it all night. This is the main problem, and makes it unpleasant to be in the room. The carpet is heavily stained. There is one open outlet in a room with two twin beds… in the entire room! The bathtub, toilet, etc. Are all old, but serviceable. At $350/night, I would’ve expected much much more. The staff are friendly, the location is great, and the lobby is beautiful, but the room is, quite frankly, horrible.

The hotel is next to Osaka City Park. The nearest station is Jr Osaka City Park station, Subway OBP station. Room clean. The staff is very friendly. The people at the front desk have good English skills.

We had a very pleasant family stay, a welcome and a impeccable service. Our room was spacious and very beautiful. A very good hotel.

Clean, nice restaurants and cake shop within hotel. Good location close to train station and Osaka castle park. All staff were very friendly and polite with most speaking English.

It is believed that the hotel was designed and operated in the 80. There are beautiful costume agents in the lobby to assist you and lead you to upper room. The room continues in the 80-generation style. The overall cleanliness is ideal, with extra pillows. Room to watch the Osaka Castle Pavilion. Location near Jr, over the bridge is, very convenient.

Comfortably sized room, clean and overlooking the Castle Park. Hotel is conveniently located and we have no problem in moving around and to nearby places by train and subway services. Hotel staffs were very courteous and helpful and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel restaurant serves very good food and would be a pleasant evening to enjoy a dinner. There are many eateries nearby the hotel and the ones at the Castle Park have wide choices to choose from for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Very clean surrounding environment and low traffic, we regard ourselves as having chosen the right hotel to stay.

Great international hotel at great location in Osaka, close to Osaka castle. All the rooms are spacious and have great view. Good English speaking staff. Good breakfast.

Guest relations is great, definitely will go out of their way to make sure that you have a pleasant stay. Plenty of restaurant options in the hotel itself which is good since the hotel itself is located in a business park area so not a whole lot of activity. There are options but nothing like the dotonbori area for sure. If you have a room on the south side in a higher floor, you'll get a great view of Osaka castle, especially at night.

Very good service. Front desk is very helpful. Lobby bar, bakery and eating outlets. Hotel lobby linked with shopping arcade. Location a bit off from major shopping areas though within 20 to 30 minutes taxi ride. Near to Osaka Castle.

Great staff. We stayed on the 12th floor in a spacious clean room with a view of Osaka Castle. The bed was very comfortable. There is easy access to Osakajo station and Osaka Castle.

Very nice rooms and atmosphere. Some taxi's picking passengers up from the hotel refuse credit cards. I am OK with cash, but this can be inconvenient for some international guests. Check before you board the taxi.

The New Otani feels like a hotel that is trying very hard to be fancy, but is lacking in a number of places. The bed was very comfortable, however, the carpet in the room had many stains, and even the carpet in the entry to the room was a completely different color/pattern than the rest of the room. The paint on the door to my bathroom was peeling off, and overall, looking at many things in the room closely (furniture and walls) was gross and disappointing. The carpet of the elevator lobby on the floor on which I was staying had the most strange stain streaks, giving the impression that the floor was covered in water and dirt. As for the lobby, it was impossible to relax anywhere. My colleague was denied entry into the Castle bar because she was wearing sandals, however, the "bar" in the lobby was unusable because it was barely a bar, and was never open (closed at 8pm). It would be great if there was a communal meeting place right in the middle of the lobby where I could meet with friends, but instead, we simply met at the chairs in front of the reception desk, and left the building. Many evenings, after my colleagues and I returned to the hotel from work meetings, we simply brought some drinks and snacks from the convenience store and sat together in one of our rooms. Not a very luxury experience. The service fee for using the gym and pool was disappointing and completely turned me off to using either of them.

Great hotel, amazing spacious rooms and very good customer service, only downside is that it I located in the business district and has little restaurants to choose from. Hotel restaurants use this shortage to charge high prices.

This hotel located in good area with Osaka Castle view and near osakajokoen station but I was disappointed because if the hotel guesses use fitness and swimming pool, they will be charged 5, 000¥ per person excluding tax. The room is larger if comparing with others hotel in Japan but look like past 15 years hotel.
Some of front desk are not good in english as they should.

Pros 1. Room was spacious for its rather cheap price 2. Nearest train station just a mere 5 minutes walk away 3. Hotel has several restaurant and nearby Jo Terrace has plenty of food choices 4. Plenty of mini mart around for the cheap drinks 5. Great view of Osaka Castle depending on your room Cons 1.2pm check in means 2pm check in, even if you're 10 mins early 2. Late check out is pricey (1 hour 10%, 2 hours 20% and so on) 3. Cost of using the hotel's pool and gym is on the high end (3, 000¥ per use, night use of pool additional charges) 3. Not much surrounding shopping area.

Luxury accommodation in the heart of Osaka. Great.

Classy hotel albeit a bit old-fashioned. The 18th floor Teppan Grill Keyaki has the most impressive views: right straight at Osaka Castle & its environs. Superb service and cooking in the restaurant, as to be expected at such a well-run establishment.

This hotel is based in the Osaka busiest district and is the epitome of opulence. It's restaurant is very highly rated in a city that is regarded as a hotbed of high class eateries. The rooms are very spacious and well appointed. The overall attention to detail is incredible. If in Osaka, this hotel should be high on your list.

Very nice hotel conveniently located (close the castle). Nice size rooms, well equipped and the hotel has many restaurants. Only stayed one night but the staff were friendly and helpful. It's a large hotel and very busy, so don't expect the 'personal touch' you might get in a small place. However, definitely worth staying here if in town for a few days.

I did not stay in a room here. I was here only for a company Christmas party. The facility and faculty were great. The food was good.
