Amazing hostel. Friendly staff. Chilled vide. Super clean. The onsen was magic and needed after hiking Mt Fuji.

It is on hill top. Very difficult to reach there. Be careful if you have kids or old people. Rest place is good. Friendly staff. Nice kitchen. Overall good place if you are aloe or with friends. Not good for family traveller. Please please avoid if you have family.

One of the most beautiful, comfortable and clean hostels I have ever stayed. Check in was welcoming and easy. My bed was very private considering it was an 8 person dorm. I was able to get a small lock to store away my valuables in the side of my bed. The common area was beautiful and had a deck with one of the most peaceful views of the mountain valley. Note — walking from the train will make you sweat and legs burn but it really isn't that far. It is not for the unfit or super tired though. Highly recommended!

It's a lovely place to stay overnight when you visit Hakone. This hotel started it's business two years ago, the facilities were new and clean, many cooked their dinners in the well-equipped kitchen, and chatted and played the guitars in a warm social lounge. Here also has two hot spring facilities, which were exquisite and relaxing. In the outdoor hotspring, you can even see stats shining in the galaxy and planes crossing the sky. If you have a slightly tight budget, this place would be a good choice.

When I booked the room, I asked if I could call a taxi at five in the morning.
The other person's response can remind them the same day.
I didn't expect to go to the area and tell us we couldn't get a cab that early.
If you could just tell us in advance, The mind will be a little more comfortable.

Nice and clean hostel with friendly staff. It also has an Onsen, one outdoor and one indoor. The room I stayed in had spacious capsule style beds which were comfy. Traditional restaurant down the road is definitely worth a try.

Spend a night here last winter on a trip to Hakone. The way there may feel like it's a bit of a walk away from the train station but I really enjoyed walking there in the snow. The rooms are very tidy and nicely decorated. It must have been the most comfortable futon I have ever slept on. The hostel has breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Really think that I got a good value for my money.

Got a great deal and was able to spend one night in the Japanese tatami room for 2. The Hostel was simply beautiful. The room was impeccably clean and the facilities (including the indoor and outdoor onsens) were terrific. We were also very happy with the friendly and professional staff. Can wholeheartedly recommend.

Nice and clean hostel with friendly staffs. It also has an Onsen, one outdoor and one indoor. Location is not far from station but hard to reach if you have big or heavy luggage since you need to walk uphill. There's a 7-11 style small store and a restaurant nearby.

I booked the traditional Japanese rooms and the decor and feel was awesome. The hostel is located at a comfortable spot for Hakone trip. Five star for the in-house onsen which relived the stress after a long day of travelling!

Love this place! Felt really cosy and even though we were in the "dorm" style room, it wast still nice because we had a double bed to ourselves, and priced well.

Clean and nice lodging. Full-equipped kitchen and onsen (open air & indoor) were great! Common room is also available with neat seating&tables, plus card & board games too!

On a shoestring budget? This is a hostel with its own outdoor onsen, that's about all you need to know. Great views in the common area, private capsule-like bunks with their own windows, great staff.

The nicest "hostel" I've ever been in. Extremely clean and modern. I've stayed in hotels that aren't this nice. The views are amazing.

Super Nice, clean, and especially with Onsen!

Relaxing and friendly environment with a great atmosphere. The facilities are very clean and well looked after. All the staff are friendly, helpful, and I never had an issue communicating in English. The onsen are chlorinated, but still incredibly relaxing.

Floor futons were surprisingly soft here. Onsen is great. (Basically it's a naked hot tub)

K's House Hakone is a must for anyone wanting to check out Hakone at an affordable price! The staff was very helpful and friendly, the views of the surrounding mountains are breath-taking and the rooms were incredibly clean. Highly recommend!

You'll definitely want to take the bus up, and then it's about 100 ft to the hostel. We had a private tatami room and it was nice and quiet. There were a lot of guests but never noise complaints. The outside balcony has a nice view.

Great location. Very friendly staff. The premium rooms are very spacious. The indoor and outdoor onsens are very nice. Kitchen gives free tea coffee and jam. The common room has a computer, some books and board games.

K's house was an awesome hostel. Though everyone talks about the hill up at the station there is a train that takes you up most of it for 230 yen. After that it's a short walk that is less than 5 minutes. The hosts and employees were superb and spoke very good English! There are only 2 Onsen one indoor and one outdoor. It alternates based on time between genders.

The staff were very friendly and speak English well. We had a Japanese style private room and it was nice, futon was big. The room comes with a basin but had to share toilet and shower room, even though the men's toilet were a bit small. Kitchen was okay, hotel staff encourage everyone to clean after themselves. They also have 2 (gender separated) hot spring pools, indoor and outdoor, on a rotating schedule. I personally like the cleanliness of the floor as no one is allowed to wear outdoor footwear inside the hotel, they have indoor slippers free to rent should anyone want them.

Best place to stay in Hakone area. Nice outdoor onsen and lovely shared space.

Nicer than many hotels, but with the social environment of a hostel. The in-house onsen and close walk from the hakone-yamato station (some areas are steep, so anything more than a pack may be difficult) were significant pluses as well. Would recommend to friends.

This place is great. The onsen on site is perfect. You will get plenty of exercise climbing up to the hostel as it is on a hill.

To call this a hostel is inaccurate. This is more akin to what you would expect out of a fine hotel. Beautiful beautiful place. Two onsen pools. One inside one outside. Men will use the inside while women are outside and then they are switched so men can use outside. Quiet. Very quiet place. No road noise or loud guests. On the K line bus route. Not a problem to use and you will be using the K line to get to the lake anyway so it isn't out of the way. Beautiful sitting area. Looks over the trees and hills. Lovely staff. Some speak English quite well. You can leave your things with them in a secure area if needed after checkout. Terrific kitchen. You are also near a small shop for light snacks. Would happily have spent more time here. Wish I could have!

Really great experience. Nice staff, clean environment, but this hostel is on a hill, so pack light because you will have to walk either up or down in several times depending on your length of stay.

Although a little out of the way, and a decent walk from Hakone-Yumoto station, K's House Hakone is a great hostel with amazing facilities and staff. It is clean and has their own onsen for guests. Staff are friendly and were a great help when I had questions about the possible routes up Hakone. I would definitely recommend this hostel to others!

Excellent place The Onsen's are very nice and has a beautiful view of the mountains surrounding the city, plus the staff is very friendly and they help you in what you need. I recommend taking the Buss from the station to get to the hostel, do it walking tiring a lot!

One of the best hostels I've been to, for the views and friendliness.
Its restroom is a window to the mountains of the Hakone Natural Park. An ideal place to work with the laptop when you are traveling, to have breakfast and to meet travellers.
It has onsen and rotemburo to enjoy the area as it deserves.
In Hakone you have to enjoy its nature and the onsens. You can visit the transport route, go by boat on Lake Ashino-Ko, walk along the Tokaido, one of the old Tokyo-Kyoto Union route.

I really liked's house. It is a very nice place where you can stay and sleep like the Japanese and have thermal baths.
