A really terrible hotel I experienced the first time in Japan. Chair, carpet and almost everything is old and dirty in my room. Most of all, there is no hot water in the bathroom. According to the front desk old gentleman who could only speak broken English, hot water would only come out after at least 5 minutes running continuously. He said that hot water relied on a boiler located in the hotel roof. I followed his instructions and running the water for 10 minutes. Yet the water is NOT hot, though not icy. As I was too sleepy, I briefly finished the shower. My single room charges amount to JPY5, 000 per day which is considered reasonably expansive for such a horrible lodging place.
