Very friendly family that runs the place. Picked us up from the station on arrival, and accommodating of our inquiries throughout our stay. They have a dinner option that needs to be pre organised in advance, so make sure to let them know beforehand if planning on eating dinner at Skala, otherwise there are restaurants around the area within 10 minutes walk.

Great Japanese experience, lovely family, great clean rooms. Lovely place to stay.

Location is great, about 10 minutes walk from the main strip of echoland where all the restaurants and bars are. There's a bus stop outside to take you right to hakuba 47, goryu, happo one, or the bus terminal if you want to go elsewhere. The service is incredible. The owners of the hotel are very helpful, they offer to give you lifts to and from the hotel, you can buy discounted lift tickets and they will help with restaurant bookings. The rooms are nice. The beds are really comfortable and warm. The bath is small, but there is a big spa downstairs. There is a cosy lounge room downstairs with a whiskey bar, fireplace, lounges and a massage chair which is great after a day of skiing. There is also a vending machine with beer and soft drinks. This is my second stay here and I would happily stay again.

I won't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. We have just finished a 7 night stay and the service was absolutely incredible. The family that run the inn make the place and they have been running it for 30 years. We arrived via taxi on our first day and the family were upset that we hadn't called them to pick them up. They then drove us to our ski hire shop and then took us to the ski fields. This took an hour out of their day and I'm sure they already had plenty to do with two small children to look after (probably the happiest little kids you will ever see). However there was never a complaint and I'm convinced that they would have done anything to make sure we enjoyed our stay. They provided lift tickets for the nearby ski fields at a discounted price and had an amazing cooked breakfast prepared for us every morning. The free shuttle bus to the snow picked us up about 20 metres from the front door each morning amd only took about 10 minutes to get to the snow. We will be staying here whenever we come back to Hakuba because we cannot fault our stay. They even had a jazz band play one night that we were there. If you want to stay in a place that will make you feel at home then this is the place for you. The other guests are friendly, the family love to talk to you and speak great english and even tried their best to understand our basic japanese. There is an onsen, a massage chair and a massive movie collection.

Loved every minute of our time with Asako, Osamu and their family. The food was delicious and the rooms are large and well set out. The bus outside the door is an asset. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
