Guesthouse Origami Hostel

So I didn't have a horrible experience here. However, they are a hostel and I think there could be things that they do better. For instance… the doors are sooo heavy. Everyone coming in and going out… the door SLAMS shut. This was a huge issue when staying in a room with 10 people/beds. Also, The kitchen/refrigerator were tiny! If I was staying for more than 3 days and wanted to utilize this area, it would have been very disappointing. While I thought the staff were friendly enough, there def wasn't a welcoming air to them. Most of them were talking on the phone, playing on the computer and not really interacting with the guests. This isn't a huge deal by any means… but it just lacked that "group" vibe that many other hostels provide. Like I said… not a horrible experience by any means… but… probably better spots to be found.

I love this hostel. Make me feel like home. The staffs was so nice. And they helped me a lot. Thank you. I will come back again soon.

Super agradable. Nos trataron genial, muy acogedor y muy bien situado. El personal habla ingles fenomenal. Muy recomendable.

This is a good hostel. The staff are some of the friendliest people I've ever met, very helpful, and kind. The beds don't offer much support but the pillows are super comfy.

Great hostel~ Friendly stuff but the public space is a little bit crowded, especially at night when all the gust get together and having fun.

Guest House Origami is a great place to stay in Kyoto, perfect to have a nice time and make friends!. The place is very nice and clean and the staff working there are very nice and welcoming, especially Mami :)
I highly recommend it!

We were there in Guest house origami at March 20th to 24th. We arrived there earlier than we planned before the check in time, and the owner was kind enough to let us come in. The location is very convenient as you can reach there by bus from kyoto station, about 10mins walk to the main roads. The place is quiet and there were a few food shops nearby. The other staffs were very friendly!
