From the direction of train station to the lake, u would have to go opposite side of the lake to have the full view of Mount Fuji. U could take the boat to mid of the lake which total duration is around 20mins, or rent a bike for half or whole day surrounding the lake slowly to enjoy and chill.

Little known and therefore few people, wonderful. There Are some rides in boat quite expensive believing that only so you can enjoy the view of Mount Fuji, but not, my recommendation is to cross the other side of the lake, there are trails like 20 minutes and you can enjoy a beautiful view of Mount Fuji and T Longer you want, even the same path is quite enjoyable.

Wonderful spot to enjoy the view of Mt Fuji, not too crowded on a Sunday afternoon. Would recommend to all those who are looking for a good spot! Follow a tour guide to come here if you’re a foreigner, or rent a car and drive in!

The area is like a weekend resort for locals, that's the impression I got. The lake itself is nothing extraordinary, but the view of Mt. Fuji from the lake is something else, breathtaking. Some nice tourist shops around the lake and free parking if you drive a rental.

The view on Mt. Fuji is great, but the whole area is overrun by tourists. The whole economy there is built around tourism. If you just want to have nice view on Mt. Fuji, this is probably one of the best spots. If you want to feel that Japanese vibe however, your at the wrong place.

The transport system is just silly priced. Such a nice place should have a better means of transportation.

Definitely worth stopping by if you're heading West from Tokyo to Kansai. Perfect location for viewing Mt. Fuji. Cross the bridge, heading away from Kawaguchiko for the best view. When leaving town by bus to head west, sit on the right hand side for bonus views of the mountain.

Lake Kawaguchi offers a magnificent spectacle. A beautiful and pleasant place to go for a ride with the family! Take a bike tour, relax and enjoy the life, simply.

Beautiful view, even it is close to aokigahara. Quite creepy sometimes. You could see Fuji san from bottom to top.

The easiest/cheapest way to see Mount Fuji traveling from Tokyo but it was further away than expected and really not much to do. Not worth the travel.

Kawaguchiko Lake is a very nice and quiet place. This is the perfect place to cut yourself off from a stressful life. The lake itself allows boat rides, it offers a beautiful bucolic scenery, sometimes the mist comes to give it a strange look. The surrounding mountains can be a hiking spot. In the background, we see the famous Mount Fuji, but this one can sometimes play hide and seek with the clouds.

Great trip for a day with nice weather. Can rent a bike to travel along the shore. The whole north shore has brilliant views of Fuji. No nightlife. Trains and buses back out are crowded as soon as the sun sets. If you want to take a bus, book your seat early. Trains don't seem to have reserved seats, so you may have to stand for an hour or more.

Spectacular scenery and offers a great view of Mt Fuji. Lots of attractions and sights around the lake. Definitely worth staying at least 2 nights but preferably 3 or more to allow time to enjoy the attractions and visit nearby lakes. Early November is a good time to visit to see fall colours. Recommend doing the Ropeway and the Maple Corridor. Will definitely come back next time.

Great views. Autumn Leaves were beautiful. A lot of Chinese tourists from mainland China were a little rude but the Japanese staff were amazing dealing with these people. Japanese station staff were helpful and friendly.

Absolutely beautiful when the weather is just right. Views of Fuji can be enjoyed around the lake. Very picturesque.

Station is small, difficult to manage big crowd. Many Q, end up not knowing where to go. Wonderful lake scenary and must visit place if you are visiting Tokyo. Autumn is good in first weekend of November, Long weekend rush everywhere like Ropeway waiting 1.5hrs. Highly recommended place.

Breathtaking view, you are given two choices to tour the whole lake. The red or green line. The green route is farther than the red. If you have enough time to spend here, two days will be enough to go about the place. The ticket is for two day passes. If you are a Muslim like me, there is a Pakistani restaurant, Aladdin Restaurant.

Beautiful view of the mountains from the lake here. You can rent a bike and ride around the lake, or even rent a canoe and paddle across it.

Very close to Mt. Fuji, such a famous lake for the full marathon race for anyone worldwide. Time limit is 6 hours. Lots of free bananas and beverages are prepared by its volunteers. Sincerely appreciate.

Really beautiful lake and amazing spot to enjoy the majestic view of Mt. Fuji! Great area with restaurants as well. Take small hikes around the lake and enjoy nature and the view :)

Beautiful lake with an amazing view on Mt. Fuji. Plenty of activities possible to do on the lake. In good weather conditions you will see Mt. Fuji like never before. This is most beautiful place to enjoy watching surrounding area and the beautiful Vulcano.

Amazingly beautiful place located close too one of Mt Fuji lakes. Yhr cottage was very nice and lots of room with everything you need. The owners were so nice and more then helpful. If you do stay here ask about the cave's near by they are amazing also.

Amazing place and service. We were upgraded into a bigger house for free when I mentioned my nephews had joined us. The host took every opportunity to make our stay wonderful. Beautiful and relaxing location, great cottages and onsen.
