Lobby very misleading as the rest of the hotel is very dated. We were part of an Irish tour group over for the RWC & had been in a couple of very good hotels before this one. The breakfasts were not to our tastes. Nothing was labeled in English so we stayed away from the uninviting Japanese food which left us with a very poor selection of salad, cornflakes & tinned fruit, a cold pot of ‘scrambled’ egg. Frankfurters, rolls, & bread.
On the way back from the match against Japan, around 9pm, our ‘guide’ informed us that the hotel has closed the bar & all other restaurants leaving us to partake of their very expensive buffet for 7000 yen — it been 9000 the previous night & was disappointing by all reports so no one was keen to repeat it. As we were located in a very isolated area the only alternative was a 15 min walk to the nearest seven 11 to buy snacks etc in the pitch dark. Needless to say lots of people went to bed hungry.
No way to treat guests!

Outdated rooms, smelly bathrooms.

The lobby and restaurants on the lower floors look modern and fresh. However, all of the guest rooms are outdated and need to be refurbished. It's offsetting when the lobby looks brand new and cared for while your room isn't.

Quite a large-scale hotel, there is a Japanese-style hot spring wind, the room is a foreign-style suite (there is also a Japanese-style collapsed rice room), the equipment is not very new very luxurious, hot spring is not very special, into the day many young students and company-trained personnel accommodation, so when washing hot spring wind lu even a little crowded. It's a shame that the hotel didn't take advantage of the advantages of its lakeside.

I was not impressed. The lobby is nice. Staff was friendly Maybe because we were a tour group we got the very low end rooms. The room were terrible. Dirty and stained carpet and couches with huge obvious stains. Rooms smelled of cigarettes had to open the window. It was disappointing. The food was ok Didn’t do the baths because of my tattoo.

A good hotel with indoor/outdoor hot spring.

Very large hotel for tour operators. Pity for us the stay was in the grisaille.

Clean, comfortable hotel with open view.

I went to the Chinese restaurant inside the hotel. The restaurant was pretty empty eventhough it was peak dinner time. The food was meh and the price was pretty high. I'mnot really satisfied with the price and quality of food. I would probably pay half the price of it is now.

Probably best place to stay near hamana lake. The building is old but the view is great. Try the 13th floor view and the onsen.

Good service, but room and facilities are 30 years too old. Carpets are worn and stained. There is lingering odour from years past. The red robes smell like they haven't been washed. You know a place is bad when they include an air freshener spray in the closet. Bathrooms are tiny while rooms are spacious. Lighting is horrendous. They use blue, daytime lights for the main room light and bathroom, casting a harsh flourescent over everything. A room should be inviting and use 2700 Kelvin lights or around that, not what feels like 6000. I do like the vending machines and small shop, but this hotel is not worth the stay.

Hot springs open from 6am to 1am so that's pretty good. The only real negative thing is that the bathroom is too small but the bedroom is huge to compensate so it's okay.

Things seems quite old inside and a little bit dirty (hard to clean, though). Everything else seems good.

The room seems a little old and right spaced; however, the Wi-Fi was fast internet service.

Great room service and cleanliness of the hotel. However I did find a stain on my bed but everything else was perfect.

I went here for a business trip. The front desk was nice and everything was overall great.

The lobby looks very nice and has a nice model car. However, there are many concerns and problems because it is now almost 12AM. I can't sleep…! I saw 4 big moving bugs in my room within 5 minutes! OMG! It's extremely terrible! There were even some bugs on the ceiling and in the lights! I am extremely grossed out. I had to move to my family's other room because of how disgusting these bugs are. They were tremendously big and there were more under the bed. As well, the smell is horrible in the rooms. It is very dirty in the rooms and washrooms… almost like it was not cleaned! I am extremely angry, disappointed, and sleepy because I can't sleep in this hotel at all.
