We had the tasting menu paired with wine. Everything was great. My favorite dish is the smoked duck and my favorite wine is lavico.

I stayed with a friend and my little dog, it was a beautiful holiday in a very nice and welcoming environment.

Splendid location, immersed in vineyards and olive trees, beautiful spa, excellent restaurant, a round of applause for the chef. A weekend that is certain to remember you being at the top. I had a chance to taste even a great albeit young merlot of their production. Apartment convenient and comfortable with a beautiful view of the pool and The vineyards. Thanks to all.

We loved learning how the owners run their farm, using only organic farming methods. This family-run place offers incredible views and a spot to unwind and relax! They’ve thought of every detail to make our stay the respite we needed!

In my opinion one of the most beautiful hotel locations that can be found in the vicinity of Orvieto… Nestled in the greenery of their wine and oil estate, the property is really kept in excellent condition, cared for, elegant and above all welcoming!
For those who want to spend moments of relaxation and at the same time of pleasure, physical, spiritual and even gastronomic… I highly recommend it!

Not for people with walking disabilities. Getting in and out of the pool is a no-go. Challenging walk between hotel accommodations and dining area. Great food and pleasant environment.

Amazing location. Great spa and pool. But now the spa access is not included and it is per day per person, and very expensive. Not so amazing as it used to be.

Wonderful get away for relaxing! The spa services were exceptional! The terrace offered an amazing view of the countryside and endless stars! Staff were very accommodating! Dinner was delicious and decadent! Highly recommend staying at Altarocca Wine Resort!

Really loved this place. Food and wines were great. Staff was awesome, particularly the Sommelier Roberto. Only losing 1 star from me because the climate control in the rooms was just not good enough. That’s the only blemish here. I highly recommend Altarocca.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights during our honeymoon. It is beautiful and peaceful but a short drive from Orvieto. Great views from the room, breakfast, and the pool. I would definitely stay here again. The staff was a pleasure.

Beautiful hotel located at the top of a valley. We have priced a suite on this hotel which gives us the right to access to the SPA. The SPA is very large and has a lot of installation for the most demanding. This is one of the most beautiful we have done so far. Regarding the rooms we were able to enjoy a very nice view with a balcony. The establishment also produces its wines that can be bought locally. Small plus the very full breakfast with a terrace offering a beautiful view of the Italian countryside!

I visited this restaurant, chosen by a Smartbox box, for a Sunday lunch with friends.
The restaurant is very nice, immersed in greenery and not far from the city of Orvieto.
The restaurant, inside is well cared for and elegant, the tables are well spaced between them and the view from the room is very nice.
The menu selected for the Smartbox understood an appetizer made with cream of Fegatelli, typical of the area; A first, really very good; A second meat and a dessert. All the dishes proved to be really good and well presented.
We have also been offered a selection of wines produced by the Altarocca winery, all of which are of excellent quality.
All in all, I recommend this restaurant for a pleasant and relaxing day. The staff, very courteous and attentive to our needs, advised us very well both on the wines and on the dishes on the menu. Recommended.

Everything here is breathtaking and breakfast was amazing. By far the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had in Italy! Definitely worth every penny. Rooms are clean, homely and rustic. Staffs were pleasant, especially the Chef who was very attentive and checked on the guests during breakfast. Wished we could have stayed here a little longer. PS: they do have wine tasting and food pairing in the hotel itself. Andrea who conducted the class, provided us a lot of information about their new organic wines. Absolutely marvelous experience.

Everything is perfect, even the restaurant is worth a visit. From a site of this type I would expect the ability to recharge the car (electric)

High level wine resort in the middle of Umbria Don't miss the wine tasting of the local wine and the restaurant that provides local Italian food, all hand made. (P. S they are missing an iron, so or bring your own, or ironed shirts).

Loved the hotel! In a nice, quiet, cozy place! And most importantly beautiful!

This place is a "country club" type complex with pools and separate gathering areas. They seem to cater to high-dollar weddings and not couples on vacation. Big swimming pool, but no one there, and bar closed! Wanted some coffee at uam. Closed and locked. Room was big, but shower! Drain slow and water ran out on floor in bedroom. Could no turn light off on porch.

The Wine Resort is great to relax and enjoy the nature. We had a suite with a spectacular view over part of the wine resort. Two pools and a Spa make the stay even more enjoyable. I can definitely recommend the wine tasting.

Amazing food and wine. Unbelievable views across the countryside.

The resort and the landscape are fascinating. Staff is professional and very polite. Restaurant has amazing view with pretty good food. The drawback is that there is no really chance for fully relaxing time at the beautiful pools as many children constantly make noise. It could be easly solved by dividing the pools for different interests (one for families with children, the other for couples/people looking for tranquility).

When you think of Italian countryside and vineyards, Altarocca Wine Resort is the type of place you dream of. Such exquisite luxury out in the countryside was both unexpected and exhilarating. You could easily spend a month there and never want to return to the real world. So relaxing. You will want to make a point to stay there even if it is a bit off the beaten path.

Enchanting place where you can enjoy a surreal atmosphere quiet just steps from beautiful orvieto. Great swimming pool and Spa and rooms very spacious and comfortable. Super nice staff. The breakfast is varied and refined products. Also noteworthy is the presence of a wine bar owned within the Resort with the ability to see the wine production and purchase wines produced from them. Congratulations also for cleaning.

Great hotel in great location.
The place is beautiful among the Umbrian hills and full of peace. We were in a junior suite in the main building, the room spacious and clean but the fan on the bar fridge was very noisy and the door, though locked, flapped when creating current in the hallway. The floor of the spa is deadly when wet, me and other customers we almost crashed slipping several times. The slippers supplied for the spa become useless once wet because they are not isolated in the sole. The restaurant has great food but service was very long, to dine it took us two hours. Overall then, it is almost to go from great to unforgettable.

5 stars for the food and wine. Amazing! Nice pool with great view if that's what you're after. But if you're looking for a rustic, old agriturismo to stay the night, I would choose something else since the houses were build in early 2000.

Delicious meal in the hillsides of Umbria! You'll need a car to get there but we stayed at nearby Misia so just walked.
