We chose to stay at this wonderful residence, located about 20 'walk from the historic center of Siena, to greet the arrival of the new year in Tuscany and we could not ask for better!
The strengths of Borgo Grondaie are without a doubt:

— Large and comfortable rooms with an eye to cleanliness and comforts made available (excellent bathroom products, kettle with tea and herbal teas and the comfortable minibar)
— Rich and very tasty sweet and savory breakfasts
— Friendliness from all the staff (We strongly recommend chatting to receive great advice on what to see but above all where to eat)
One of those places that remain in the heart!

The beautiful surroundings and the wonderful team who are always there to help. We like visiting different places but this is the one place we return to year after year and miss it when we don't go. The food is wonderful and the selection of wine fantastic. Thank you everyone and see you soon. Xx.

Best of both worlds! Immaculate, tranquil and large apartment with a terrace overlooking the city walls, but close enough to the Centro Storico to reach by foot. All the staff were extremely helpful. Once in a lifetime Palio experience! Coming home to the saltwater pool after a hot and sweaty Palio with the sunset was amazing.

Had a wonderful summer trip in Italy last year first time ever and stayed in Borgo Grondaie during the tour in Siena. Very amazed by the warm hospitality and treatment by all the staff. Appreciate the facility gentleman who helped me out when I was confused how the washer worked (he brewed wonderful latte at the morning breakfast! ) Front desk is very helpful providing the guidance about the routes and free parking near Siena. Highly recommend the stay here, which was part of my many wonderful memories in north Italy. Will come back visit one day.

This is the 3rd time we have spent a family holiday in this quiet place.
Property always as well maintained and quiet.
The cleanliness of the place is remarkable.
Breakfast is a bit expensive for a family of 5 but it is varied, delicious and there is something for everyone.
A big thank you to all the staff who greet us so warmly at each of our passages and, who is listening to us.

Nice village-like group of little houses with gardens and little squares. Smaller appartmemts and also spacious houses for holidays. Close to the city (by bike with some effort, easyer by car), you can see the city walls and houses from this cosy residential hillside. We were in a 4-people appartment (1-room plus sofa in the entrance living-room) and there was a kitchen. Some faint smell of used kitchen if you stick to the cooking area, but not so noticeable; it has a window just by the cooking area.

We had a room in the villa. Very clean. Unfortunately very clairvoyant. The breakfast was awesome, a lot of choice and everything delicious. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Wi-Fi unfortunately only in the reception area and also there not so good. Downtown Siena is a 30-minute walk away. Large parking available.

Very nice and quiet hotel. Staff very nice and available. We stayed only one night in a little apartament. Nice and comfortable. They have also a big garden available for their customers, wonderful in this period. I point out 2 little flaws: the Wi-Fi connection and the internal air conditioning didn't work. About the air conditioning the receptionist said me that they have to switch the system to the summer time. Probably we were unlucky. That's why only 3 stars.

Just back from Siena. I stayed for two days at the Eaves hamlet in a mini apartment for four people. It was a wonderful experience, nice and friendly environment, attentive and qualified staff. If I have occasion to return to Siena with my family of course I will return to the village. Thank you very much, congratulations. Recommended.

A comfortable and pleasant place, enclosed in the beautiful setting of a large Tuscan garden. Apartment characteristic and well furnished, spacious and equipped kitchen. Very clean and cared for in the décor. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The parking is very convenient and not far from the accommodation. It has a bar and breakfast room. All perfect.

Simply magic. This lodging on an old farm near Siena's city gates is beautiful warm, friendly and feels like home. The complimentary breakfast is amazing and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helped me with everything from calling taxis to providing me with personal items I'd forgotten. Grazie Borgo Grondaie!

This place is really worth visiting and staying, it has all the Tucany you want in a quaint little hotel. Just outside the city in beautiful surroundings. The rooms are great, the bed, the bathroom etc, its quite new and clean and many details that make it very pleasant. TV works and has English in many channels unlike many hotels I’ve visited in Italy. The concierge are very pleasant and helpful and of course they speak English and Spanish. You must see Siena.

Really spectacular place. It is the second time I go because it is a 10 minute walk from the center of Siena. It is located above a hill surrounded by greenery. Everything is taken care of in detail. Very helpful staff Perfect breakfast You could resist 1 month.

The staff at the Borgo Grondaie Siena went out of their way to make our stay a delight. Then, when we forgot to pack some our clothes when we left, they not only arranged to have them sent to the USA, but continually followed up to provide us with updates on the shipment. Would recommend this Inn to anyone and will definitely stay again when we next travel to Siena,.

Coop market is very close. Through the train station, you can access Siena antic area via escalator. In the train ststion PAM market also available. People are very kind. Room is clean and calm.

I arrived in Siena from the train station on foot, carrying a small duffel bag and a backpack. I immediately headed up the escalators toward the city center, and ignored Google Maps, which was telling me to go the other way. Google was right… the hotel is down at the railway level. I was very trepidatious as my map took me down an implausible side road. But, voilà! Borgo Grondaie has somewhat hidden, garden bungalows. The grounds and gardens are beautiful, well-tended, quiet and spacious. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The small restaurant serves breakfast and delicious dinners from a modest menu. Borgo Grondaie is wonderful, and a great value for this tradeoff: It's a long walk to the city center. It took me the better part of an hour to walk to the campo and duomo from Borgo Grondaie. This involves going back to the train station, going back up the escalators, then following a route of circuitous old city streets. I like a great hotel experience, I like getting good value, and I like long walks, so Borgo Grondaie suits me to a 'T'. Also, it's closer to the rail station than city center hotels. You can use the hotel as a base to explore this part of Italy by rail. Tomorrow I am taking a day trip to Lucca.

Wonderfull establishment, very clean, very peaceful. The gardens are perfectly maintained. The breakfast is good. The staff is nice and helpful, congratulations for your job.

Very nice place, clean and accessible as price. To go downtown is not comfortable, you have to take the car. For the rest very good.

Location is good. Hotel is very good with big rooms and kitchen. Private parking. Only reason tô no give 5* is that it is very Hard tô bring the luggage from parking tô the rooms with lots of stone stairs.

We stayed here 4 times and we love this place. Very convenient to the city yet very quiet and a beautiful surroundings. The staff is great and Gaia is delightful. Truly our home away from home.

Spacious and immaculate. Kitchen with a small oven and everything you need. Not far from the Centre of Siena.

Very quiet and relaxing. Surrounded by nature. Spotlessly clean rooms and great breakfast! Staff helpful and very polite and welcoming. In summer the legendary salt water pool.

Recommend it to anyone visiting the beautiful Siena to stay at this property, just outside the walls (5 minute drive) in a quiet place in the countryside, with rooms or apartments very clean very well equipped and with a cure really admirable for furniture. Congratulations you have terrific managers and you employees.

Very quiet and clean hotel just outside siena. Classic dark wood furnishings nn are very to my liking but overall are doing well.

We found this hotel by random chance. It's a lovely place and breakfast was included. We did not research online hotel booking price, so we overpaid for a room at 100 euros per night vs 113 USD online price.
