Beautiful location in the middle of quintessential Tuscan countryside. Very easily accessible from Pisa airport in just about an hour's drive. It's very rural so a car is absolutely essential with the nearest supermarket at the bottom of the valley (15 to 20 mins drive). We had a one bedroom apartment which was fine for us and our 2 year old. The gardens are lovely as is the pool area with stunning views over the countryside. Loads of space to run around in. We did a couple of day trips out as the weather was terrible the week we were there in May — Florence and Siena take about 1 1/2 hours to drive to. When the sun shone though it was idyllic. There is a bread van who comes every morning which is brilliant and wine to purchase very reasonably on site. The staff are all very friendly. Wifi signal was excellent (kept my husband happy! ). The local market in Peccioli was also lovely. The downside was just the weather really but that can't be helped and next time we would go for a 2 bedroom apartment.

We have been coming here for, 17 years. It is Tuscany heaven with great views and a fabulous swimming pool. Great food locally and easy reach to Volterra, Florence and Sienna. The local roads are poor but that is part of its charm.
