I discovered by chance this hotel by booking for a short stay in Florence excellent central location very close to the perfect cathedral to get around Florence comfortably without getting around by public transport we arrived by car and provide a parking service at 25 euros per night they pick up the car directly near the hotel and bring it back to you on departure. Very kind and very helpful reception staff. Very clean rooms I highly recommend it for great value for money and for its central location I did not take advantage of the breakfast just out of the hotel on the right c and a bar with excellent pastry.

We stayed 4 nights here our first time in this hotel, it’s within walking distance to many historic museums and cathedrals, close to shops and restaurants. Very friendly helpful staff. It’s great value for money definitely recommend for any one on a budget.

Bad service, reservation via phone and e-Mail has not been processed although confirmed on the phone.

Bellissima vista sul duomo, posto molto carino e riservato soprattutto per coppie. Centralissimo a Firenze e personale cordiale. Veramente consigliato per un aperitivo/apericena piacevole!

Price tolerable but staff helpful.

More than being a hotel it looks like a barn the entrance says where you're going to get out. Written as on the Internet hotel at not even a guesthouse, lacks climate. Missing box is, lacks TV, bad even the garage leaves car to the staff who take it away is if you need you have to wait for tomorrow so that they bring you, I do not recommend it 100%…

My experience here was awful, but I see you have erased all the bad reviews including mine! Great marketing skill, chapeau!

Plain and simple good hotel, breakfast isn't big but there's a lovely cafe just outside that fed us every morning.

Bang in the historical centre of Florence. Literally 3 minutes walk from the Duomo etc. Priced very reasonably for the location. The only downside is the noise from the street even though we were on the third floor. Staff very helpful.

Awesome location. Rooms are big and functional. Missed a few creature comforts such as a tea kettle, TV or air conditioning. But not too much.

No breakfast. Without Wi-Fi. No television. Very good location Sleeping only ' '

Very good location After that spoil I booked via booking and the price indicated is the voucher (breakfast included) remains to settle the local tax small room 1 bed 2 place and 1 bed 1 place while we had booked for 2 beds 1 place the bathroom is limited clean the shower is poorly tuned hyper Center! C is great but no double glazing otherwise frozen bread at breakfast with butter and jam Biscotte and cake choice of hot drinks and fruit juices… C is all Wi-Fi on the 1st floor only and no TV.

If it wasn't for how well located it would be of the worst. At the reception they were friendly, during the stay we wanted to sleep a bit in the afternoon but on the 6th floor they are remodeling and they do not stop hammering. They are very disorganized, in fact the place has no water even to warm a bottle.

The reviews read, are lousy. The hotel does not show up just like that. The rooms are cramped, but there is a minimum of reception, super close to the Duomo. Great if you look for a roof to sleep in the center.

Tiny, no air, no phone, no TV, no heat. Breakfast was a dinner roll and cold pat of butter. Noisy outside all night long. Sex noises thru the walls. Don't stay here. Spend 20 euro more and go someplace else.

Very basic. Four beds in a room of 12 square metres. Breakfast is bad at best and consists of biscuits and bad coffee. Our room had neither towels, shampoo nor soap on arrival and the windows are far from soundproof.

Very close to the entire historic center. To take into account that there is a lot of external noise. The facilities. Better to have breakfast outside the hotel. Very helpful staff.

Very but very bad do not be fooled is a robbery what they charge for what is the place. I do not advise terrible everything.

Only good thing is the proximity to the Duomo, for the rest all very bad. Dirty room and cold bathroom without window and with poor cleanliness… all places should be settled. Breakfast To forget.

PESIMOOOOOO! Old, rooms with dirty walls and leaking. Poorly insulated, barely has a small radiator to heat the room, no air conditioning or tele. Super Noisy, you hear all the noise from the street as well as the bells that start to ring at 7 in the morning and look like they are inside the room. It is a very bad hotel that is not worth it or x the good location it has.

Nice hotel in regards to location and price. On the other, the service of regular reception tending to bad, the Wi-Fi signal did not reach the 2nd floor and the facilities somewhat neglected. Inside the room, the bathroom did not have proper shower, but only shower in itself. In short, it serves to spend the night and is ideal as far as it is next to the main attractions, otherwise not advisable.

The best location in Florence and very nice rooms with hambientacion of time. The facilities are deteriorated. The staff service could be better and cleanliness is OK but could be better. My room was 6 blocks from the hotel in another building, and I have to walk to have breakfast. My room is very spacious but has no view.

Old Palace rooms so-so. Breakfast a little too poor but what can you expect from a hotel at this price. The great thing is that from the roof you can make beautiful photos from the moment you see all of Florence. Another positive factor is the location is within walking distance of the Uffizi museum and the station.

The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The location and the terrace.

A basic hotel, needs some updating. In a good position, if busy outside (and can be noisy as a result). The bathrooms need some structural work. Very pleasant staff who were great to deal with.

The hotel is forgotten in time, walls and floors (some with carpets) are very dirty, the rooms windows have no isolation, really noise all night long. Pretty sad place, only highlight is the location.

Good value for money Basic hotel, everything works properly.

There is no Wi-Fi, no TV, the apartments are better q the rooms, for breakfast tenes Q get closer to the hotel, (if you are away from the hotel are in the oven) good friendliness of the receptionist and nothing else.
PS: Applause for the girl who is in charge of breakfast as she is alone attending to all the people.

Way to expensive! Terrible… tiny dark rooms. Wifi only on 1st floor, no travel brochures and indifferent receptionists. Breakfast was stale bread, cordial and coffee from vending machines. Maybe all this would be okay if it was half the price? If you book to stay here make sure you can get a refund on booking or get a room onthe top 2 floors. Horrible.

Good prices and top location, which is directly in the city. There is a roof terrace with a beautiful view. The rooms are ok.

Apart from the strategic location, the Hotel is overlooked.
The rooms clean but untidy and, on a rainy evening, I was woken by the dripping from the ceiling!
I hope this review is a stimulus to the owner or to those who manage it to invest to improve the structure!

I hate this place. I never recommend this hotel. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my whole life. I was supposed to stay at hotel constantini, but the receptionist told me there is no room and I should move the hotel. This was the first point I got shocked. Then, they made me stay at this hotel. The staffs were not nice. The room did not even have air conditioning. The room was not cleaned enough. The only thing I could use to cool down was a fan. But the fan was broken when I returned to the room. I told a staff about it, and he basically said there is nothing he could do. Now I am staying up all night because it is freaking hot. Never ever visit this place.

Hotel in good central position, rooms basic with charm, very nice roof terrace, no Wi-Fi in rooms. Only on 1st floor, decor could do with an update.

Two stars hotel with two stars rating. At the time of my stay, which is summer time. The room that I was staying does not have air-conditioning (cooling), which made our stay in the room hot during the noon and afternoon. Bathroom attached with the room but toilet are outside of the room. Wi-Fi service is not in the room, only available in the common area, at the lobby and first floor. Basic breakfast of bread, coffee and juice but no cereal. Inside room with basic bedding and a stand fan. Luckily the room temperature cooled down at night and I was able to sleep comfortably with fan during summer time. One thing good about this hotel is the location. At night it might be noisy outside due to the hotel is in city center.

Crap! Dirty, old, smelly rooms with very small bathroom… the windows that did not close with broken handles… the shower basically beat over the toilet… The staff not always helpful… the breakfast nightmare. Never seen a dump like that. Absolutely to be avoided. Only positive thing about the location. My dog's kennel is better. I put a star because forced… does not deserve it!

Old Hotel in the furnishings, windows that do not close well. All in all the cleanliness was fine and that is in the center for the rest Hotel without TV… staff partially present… old style breakfast but too much mines.

Have stayed here 3 times and loved it. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Arrived on the wrong date during an international bike race. They found us a place to stay even though the fault was mine. Gabrielle is the best. Also got a wonderful apartment for us when we decide to stay longer than we intended.

Room and bathroom very very very small (2m ²). What to understand is that in 2m ² there is a washbasin, a bidet, a toilet and a shower! When you take the shower that is on the wall in front of the toilet without cabin because there is no room, we even flood a piece of the room.
The room: correct bedding, but the bed covers make it very dusty. On awakening, an allergic reaction on the face probably due to detergents.
Sleep: Impossible because from 00:30 to 1:30 in the morning the trucks clean the streets in a unspeakable din. When you finally find sleep you have to enjoy it because at 6:00 we are awakened by the supplies of laundry.
Breakfast: Disgusting.
Parking: A real financial chasm when you have a car.
Only good note is the proximity to places to visit. All is done on foot.

This 2 star hotel gets a 5 stars review for its superb location! The Hotel name itself gets 5 stars even thought it got nothing to do with the Medici Family who inspired the birth of the Italian Renaissance. The Hotel roof top view gets 5 stars too. Walking from this hotel to various attractions was a cake walk! Sick of the free breakfast? A pastry shop is just few steps away from the Hotel entrance.

Very good service, service and price. Excellent reception. Do visitors really feel very good. They have the possibility to park the vehicle at the place which makes simplifying problems. Highly recommended. Very good breakfast.

Beautifully renovated old building in the heart of Florence. Very friendly and dedicated staff. Good starting point for exploring the city.

The rooms were very bad. We went cold during the night since chiflete it came through the windows and stove warmed very little.
The breakfast is quite poor, there is nothing more than a limited amount of bread and jam, which serve it you. And coffee in the machines.
The only good things I can mention are:
The location, since these to the back of the main avenue. You can reach any important point walking.
And the good mood of employees. After this, very poor.

The great location is the main pro of this hotel, featuring a terrace with a wonderful view on the dome. Along the cons the free Wi-Fi, only available at first floor (where breakfast is served) and not in the rooms. Our room in this historic building was clean, with a big bathroom (albeit it was an accessible one, so no box for shower…). The personnel is very kind :)

Filthy hotel room, doors broken, noisy room which seemed to stand on the runway of malpensa, shower very small, bad breakfast. Totally not recommended.

This is for the easy traveller, someone wanting to spend more time exploring the city than the hotel room. The location is amazing, the service efficient, the room was simple and slightly worn out but the bed and sheets were pristine clean and comfortable. This is not the hotel for a romantic honeymoon trip, but if you want to see Florence, pay a modest price for your room, just to get a good sleep and wake up in the heart of it — it's a great deal. The breakfast was simple, but you might as well jump out to one of the many nice places around and mingle with the locals instead. One advice though is to have your earplugs ready. Being in the Center means you hear the nightlife till late at night and street cleaning services get into action from early morning.

To be two minutes from Florence man there can be no hotel so filthy, abandoned over the years. Dirty carpet, routes etc. Walls all marked with dirt and dead mosquitoes. Noisy as the doors do not close properly. Breakfast to forget. Very disappointed about the money spent.

Hammer location, poor Breakfast, rooms are acceptable.

Under any criticism. Mold on the walls in the room and in the 1.10 X to 1.00 sqm bathroom without shower curtain. After the showers in both the bathroom as well, partially with dust and cobwebs, believable since 3 weeks not more cleaned room flooded. Irritating appeared to be that of the booked twin room (about 90 Euro) the required sanitary standards in no way corresponded. Conclusion: Italy has always ade in AUSTRIA is always OK.

Hotel very old, breakfast lousy, cleaning passable, bathroom very small, the situation is very, very good. But… very noisy at night, while the chimes of the "campanile" you wake up at seven, is a privilege.

First and foremost, this hotel has to be given some major leniency in any review simply based on its location. I'm sure you're aware — but just to hammer it home — it is on some prime Florentine real estate. Sharing a cozy road with the 5 star Savoy Hotel and less than a 2 minute walk from Il Duomo (even if you crawl slowly on hands and knees), any nit-picking I may have done if it were located elsewhere, I'll forgive. Having read the onslaught of horrible reviews I booked anyways. Partly because I spent all my extra money on other holidays earlier this year and partly because I thought it worth the gamble based on its location. The gamble paid off, but I think it was only because I made certain I at least had a good hand before my arrival. To avoid the common complaint many have made about being sent packing to a sister property, I emailed the hotel prior to my arrival. Twice. Once immediately after booking to let them know I had read the reviews, would be writing a review, and would not accept accommodation elsewhere; and a second time 5 days before my arrival to reconfirm that. Both received gracious replies confirming I would only be in the "main house". When I arrived at 1:30am (Never again, Ryanair! Never again! ) without any issue they told me I was in room 508. When I got to room 508 and opened the shutters I almost pooped my pants. A VIEW! Not just a view, a view from a corner room with a small terrace of what I had come to see: Il Duomo. It was glorious.

Hotel convenient because it is located right in the Middle, the room is not that ill-the bathroom is new and everything looks clean. From the terrace you can see fantastic scenery.

The worse experience of our trip. We were travelling as a family so were sent to their apartments down the road. When we got there we found the toilet running, the fridge filthy with shelves collapsed and a empty bottle of wine half filled with water and cigarette butts. The photos of the main site don't represent the the hotel condition, you will find much cleaner options in the same area for the same price range.

Location, service, breakfast and excellent location for. That kind of money! Clean room. To spend the night — just the perfect hotel. Thank you.

My husband and I both loved this hotel. We had top floor room with amazing view. The service was great, we didn't need anything while we were there. It was incredibly romantic on the roof garden. Loved the no phones, no TV. Why go there to watch TV. I will recommend and would stay there again and again. If you are into 5 stars, not the place for you.

What you see is what you get. Would not stay here again. Indifferent staff, facility is not well kept. Plenty of other choices around the Duomo to stay for cheap.

We were given Apartment as we booked 2 double rooms. The +ves : Ideal location, nice friendly staff, spacious rooms, The — ves : No Parking, devices with round power plugs are hard to plug in as the socket has kind of fuse next to it which blocks the plug.

The worst hotel that I have stayed. Poor both in its facilities as the staff. A penalty already that is located in a privileged site.
