Loved our stay here. Our room was cozy and you knew you were in Florence by the amenities, the books, the decor and of course the wonderful Italian people. Everyone was so courteous and gracious. We loved meeting Ahmad… he was the greatest. Thanks to all who made our stay in your fair city glorious.

Beautiful place with amazing staff. So serene and relaxing. Refreshing showers and stunning view. 15 minute hike down to old town Mykonos. Such friendly staff and beautiful place to sit our on our porch every morning and eat breakfast. We would highly recommend!

Removed from the very busy tourist streets but within a ten/fifteen minute walk of the true centre. A good locations and just a delightful boutique hotel.

It's also within walking distance of the train, Accademia, the centre, and the San Marco Convent.
The delicious food of Fuoco Matto, next door, is an added bonus!

Lovely hotel and lovely staff. Our room was beautiful and everything was spotlessly clean. The front desk ladies were so helpful with everything we needed. Very generous breakfast every morning. Great location and easy to walk to everywhere! They even sent us a bottle of Champagne for our anniversary!

Great air conditioning in our room. Step to the bathroom is approximately 1 foot. Our room had a generous sized bathroom. General areas have weak air conditioning. Excellent breakfast. Storage areas for clothes is lacking.

Got into a very good number — 329. Everything is clean, the bed is impressive, the air conditioning works, the big TV, the Wi-Fi in the room works well, without crashing instantly tuned. Next to the exit of the hotel opposite there is even a shop of Russian goods (from Russian beer to a kettle in oil). The staff at the reception are pleasant, helps to understand a variety of issues. I don't know why someone wrote something about the slack numbers, nothing so negative was not met. It's all normal!

Really nice hotel that is an easy walk to all sites in Florence. Super friendly staff, helped me locate my iPhone when I left it in the hallway! Honor bar is a nice plus.

Atmosphere and comfort. A few passes from the fortress from the bottom and from the train station, back rooms for a hotel of fine 800 well maintained and well run. Recommended.

Hotel Cellai Florence The building is older, with many quirks and lots of charm. Internet is OK but often slow for bigger jobs. Staff OK, but not all of them speak English. Pros: Location superb, near city center. Cons: the bathroom in room 205 has a step up which is dangerous. No parking, of course. Some find it charming, others find it primitive. Hot water took a while to come up. Bathroom had an odor that took a day to get rid of.

Small boutique hotel set in a perfect spot to walk around town! I will be going back. The staff was more than helpful, inviting, and suggested great locations for food. Like the pizza place next door! The "honor bar", which is a sign in for anything you take, is in the lobby area and has an amazing assortment of beverages. We used this every day and it was well worth the cost. We didn't have to find a market, just went downstairs and made a cocktail! The hidden patios all around the hotel make the experience of staying there a fairy tale. Explore this place! We were given the most amazing room after announcing we were on our honeymoon. I didn't want to leave! I will be staying there next visit to Florence, not matter what.

A lovely hotel with excellent staff and a very good-sized room. The hotel was very clean and the continental breakfast is delicious. We had a wonderful stay.

4 night stay for our honeymoon. Lovely welcome and beautiful room. Breakfast is amazing and afternoon tea is much appreciated for us Brits. Would recommend!

Great hotel, great location, lovely roof terrace, lots of choice for breakfast, good sized rooms and bathrooms. Everyone was friendly. Booked with easyjet holidays. The only fault was a hard bed. Picture is a view from terrace.

We loved our stay here in Florence. The hotel was perfectly situated within walking distance to almost everything we did. The rooftop was a nice getaway and had an amazing view of the city. The rooms were a little small, yet were comfortable and suited our needs. The entire hotel was beautifully decorated and had different sitting areas to enjoy a good book or a drink from the bar. The staff was personable and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice Hotel
The Cellai Hotel is located not too far from the train station, and 5 minutes from San Marco and the centre of Florence. The staff is very nice and helpful, the manager speaks French as well as the receptionist. The décor of this hotel is superb with several lounges, their armchairs are comfortable, and several works of art are hung. The room is quite large but the bathroom is a little small, a basket of fruit as well as a bottle of white wine is at your disposal when you arrive. The bar is on the ground floor and you can use and record your consumption. The breakfast is plentiful, you can order an Italian coffee or a cappuccino, as the breakfast is an "American" and the room is great, but you can enjoy the lounges to settle down and have your breakfast.
I will stay here the next time we pass by Firenze!

II LOVED this hotel and can't recommend it enough. I would definitely go back. It oozes European charm. The rooms are a little small but absolutely beautiful. The staff was very friendly. The rooftop terrace was a delightful surprise with an amazing view at night.

The best kept secret in Florence. A private chic hotel with 5 Star service. Interiors are Architectural Digest and Vouge. Breakfast is a feast under 19th Century chandeliers, after a night in The Honesty Bar. I want to live here. Francesco you did the best with your little gem of a hotel!

Well located in the historic city of Florence, nice staff, varied breakfast but the breakfast room is a little small.

Stayed here with my wife on our honeymoon. We loved the room — very elegant, with a balcony/terrace area in our room. The breakfast area was chaotic, but good. The halls and rooms were full of art, which fits with a hotel in Florence.

The service here is amazing. Very friendly staff and a very good free breakfast. Not like in America where you're happy with a pancake. Had to knock off a star though because of the paper thin walls. Location is also good.

Great hotel, very close to all the markets and the cathedral. Beautiful and very clean. Great breakfast and rooms were clean and comfortable. Best bed of our trip through Europe.

Entrance and building is beutiful and decorated with nice boitique style furniture/art pieces. Rooms are a good size. Bathroom is a bit small but has good water pressure for the sink and shower. Breakfast table/buffet was impressive. Could be better if they added more salad and veggies. Good place compared to other hotels in it’s location. 5-10 min Walk to Duomo and close to everything else you want to see in this area.

Absolutely adorable! Easy walking to everything! Big Bathroom! Breakfast good! Lady at the front desk was so helpful, polite and sweet! All different sitting rooms take your breath away! If I had a complaint I would say the beds are a little stiff and firm! Would totally recommend to people! Did not appear to be any kids present so I would say not a kid friendly place!

Good location, nice common areas, little care in the particulates.

Cold showers at night on several occasions left a bit of a dampener on the experience, the response from the staff involved when we reported the problem was just as cool. However, I must say most of the staff were more than helpful, the porter/waiter in particular was a gem. The smell from the bathroom also took some getting use to. I believe this is to do with the old sewage system in the town, but for a boutique hotel with beautiful decor it was a bit disappointing.

The staff, atmosphere, and accommodations were superb. My husband and I spent five nights there over Christmas, and as American tourists, everyone was kind and welcoming to us. Breakfast was wonderful and served every morning. We even had a little terrace off of our room to enjoy the winter chill I'm the air. It was perfect and I strongly recommend Hotel Cellar.

Awesome Hotel — with an Amazing Staff!

Well, it's a quirky little hotel. The room was clean. But the hotel smelled smoky. It definitely not friendly for people with walking problems, there were stairs to the elevator fir crying out loud. It was nice to have a fridge and tea/hot water pot. The little salons were fun and cute and the desk staff were helpful.

Noisy and smoky room. But bathroom was amazing. The door, despite being 3 inches thick, leaked sound like a sieve. Also every evening and morning we could smell smoke from another one of the guests rooms. Walking along the corridor was like going through a smoke tunnel! The bathroom was one of the best is had at a hotel. The shower was incredibly big. It was approx 5ft x 6ft in size, with a high pressure shower outlet. Breakfast was OK. Fruit juices were not 100% juice, but more a juice drink. The homemade cake was really good.

Host extraordinary, marked attention, politeness, good mood and humour. Rooms spacious superior and calm (on the back of the hotel) with a lot of charm.
There are always flaws in hotels. Here special attention could be paid to some finishing details. For a 4 *.

It is not old or charm, it is old and in disrepair. Nothing works as it should, the plugs are of two centuries ago so you can not connect any modern appliance and not makes it easy courtesy or a bad adapter. Internet price of gold and with bad coverage. Remarkably, poor breakfast and quality in a small room always crowded. The provision is a labyrinth of corridors and stairs, noisy and they represent an absolute architectural barrier. Reach the luggage lift involves climbing several flights of stairs and do not offer you any help. Insulation Street in light and sound in the room is more than poor.
Avoid falling into the same trap that us, seriously, fail to find anything positive. And it certainly does not deserve more than two stars.

Nice ambiance, very tastefully furnished rooms, super nice and big bathroom. All tip top clean. Where you look at this wonderful hotel are beautiful, stylish furnishings. The breakfast is plentiful, the staff perfect.

When I first saw the Hotel Cellai is in November 2008 I was speechless.
Its refinement, treated in particular.
A structure where each piece has a story, where you can breathe the art.
The "WHITE SPACE" Conference and exhibitions, is remarkable.
Everything white, including white parquet, in all of this there are some clips of purple, beautiful!.
Since then I've decided to do an exhibition of jewelry of my students a year.
This is my second year.
Advice to all those who go to Florence, to book at this quaint hotel.

A charming hotel very well placed in FLORENCE.

Very charming and everyone that works here is so gracious and helpful. The breakfast is a feast, the rooms are clean and tastefully decorated, and the location is great. Walk to the duomo, Louis Vuitton and so much more.

The Spaniards know usually when we travel to Italy, that hotels lost some that another star when compared to Spanish hotels of same category.
What is surprising is that a hotel of the category of the Celllai of Florence, can look 4 star, when the rooms have difficulties in the right window of the windows, missing shutters in some rooms, and others have by Cabinet a kind of hollow wall with a door curtain; Therefore, the light and auditory isolation rooms is more than poor. Not to mention architectural rooms access barrier, presenting previous steps to reach the elevator, and not forgetting the unpleasant smell in the landing of this.

The hotel is old and in very bad condition, although at the end we could find a room "reasonable" after visiting three rooms, thanks to the collaboration of the staff; and that paying more than a reasonable price per night, along with the local tax of €8 per couple per night.

This was the cutest hotel in all of Italy! Very luxury boutique. They have the cutest bar area and it is a short walk to the Duomo. They also provide complimentary bicycles. We rode these all around Florence. We also got a great deal for this hotel at the train station. Less than they advertise. This room also has air conditioning! The Breakfast Room is the cutest! I loved the black chandelier hanging above the skylight. The food was excellent as well. There is a park just down the street.

Nice hotel for a wonderful holiday! Delicious Italian cooking, fabulous afternoon tea in the hotel lobby, nice people. It is Super! The hotel is really comfortable and very elegant. This is the third time I'm coming to Italy, and it never disappoints me.
