Terrifying experience from the first moment the staff was rude, even coming to accuse us of having broken the key (which had stuck in the defective lock) and threatening to collect the amount for the replacement of the entire lock from Credit card used for payment: To say the least shameful.
The structure is crumbling, the rooms dirty and the fixtures totally inadequate.
There is only one bathroom for the entire floor (about ten rooms in all).
The site is also frequented by unrecommendable people.
The photos on booking mislead and not a little.
The only positive is the location right in the centre and a short walk from the station.

Hotel staff were nice to us, hotel was pretty good.

The location is in the heart of Florence, the reception is fast and good, the people are friendly, unfortunately the bathrooms have filtering problems and sometimes the hot water does not work, the room is comfortable and the person of the toilet is very friendly.

Wonderful hotel, welcoming staff. Clean rooms. We spent two nights, after the first brought clean towels. Two showers on the floor. It's quiet, it's quiet. Hearing is good in the rooms.

Very economical and recommended solution for those who want to spend a nice weekend outside the door, in beautiful Florence. Shared rooms but mostly clean. Chance to meet beautiful people with whom to spend the weekend together.

This hotel is an insult to the integrity and respect of the person. The shower has no pommel or pipe, only a Jet that happens to you in the figure! The door to this "shower" is dirty and broken. There is no toilet in the room or a wall for the bathroom. And the guy at the reception is very unpleasant. This hotel should be removed from the booking sites!

Good place for the rate. Go there just to sleep at night. You can't stay otherwise. Shared bathrooms with wash basin in the room. Kitchen is there with microwave.

Unfriendly arrogant type at the front desk. Except for its good location, this hotel has nothing to offer.

Minimum escort. The bunk in the 3d room is the worst thing that could have been. The toilet is dirty. The reception guy was so arrogant, as if doing a huge favor. Took the bunk from 1:00 to 7:00 in the morning, but regretted, would rather leave the center than to stay there, but in such a hotel.

Heater was not working properly. Bad smell from bathroom. Great location and nice staff.

To say bad is little. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired. It doesn't matter if it's old if there's cleanliness but it's not the case. The bathrooms couldn't be worse. That improve the quality. Value for money leaves a lot to be desired. The only positive location.

Very affordable hostel in a gorgeous city. Excellent location within walking distance of all the sighs and attractions, as well as the main station, while still being in a good neighborhood with shops restaurants and a laundry nearby. Would highly recommend based on the value and location, but for a short stay as the beds are not entirely comfortable.

Most basic establishment I've ever stayed at, hence why it was relatively cheap. The location makes it a handy base from which to visit Firenze's sights on foot. This establishment is kept clean and tidy but isn't exactly luxurious (my room hadn't even a TV), however you'd have to be a bit of an idiot not to realise how basic it is when booking a room here. It was clean, safe and had helpful staff which are the things that matter most.

The super friendly staff is great when your traveling solo in a country where you can't speak the language.

Good location, it's close to everything. Showers should be separated from toilettes.

The hostel is so so if you do not care about things, One star hotel is too much, is not to go with family because the target is youth teen, from all around. The hotel is old but comfy, you have Wi-Fi free, and city tax 1, 50. In general is pretty cheap is located in the main center closed to every thing. No ac in summer, and very warm in winter. Staff is the best even the place is not the best at all. If you need help always the staff is very helpful. Mr Akram is the best of all, he helped me and my friends very friendly and funny. Actually I had a good time with my friends there, a nice cheap place to stay.

It's ok for a low budget. The room was small but not bad and the bathroom was not that clean. The staff were really nice.

There are messy rooms with bugs, not free Wi-Fi and very small shower cabins in the rooms. Moreover they have only 2 bathrooms for 10 rooms, so this hotel is a very awful way to screw up your opinion about Florence.

Excellent location, very clean and the deal is pretty good; on the other hand, the Wifi is very bad.

Very bad. -Wifi is for fee BUT sooo poor. -Stuff is wierd and not friendly. -Rooms are unclean and sketchy BUT total prices is very expensive +good location only/// one of the worst hostels I have ever been.

Not sure why everyone posted such bad reviews but I had a fantastic time here and for the price? Its honestly a steal. Everything is basic but it's exactly what you need to get through the night. I spent most of my days exploring Florence and really only came here for a rest or a shower. It does it's purpose. I do understand that Wi-Fi was a bit bad around here but it all depends on the room you receive. Overall a great deal for what you pay for.

I did not like the hostels in price and quality. There are some drawbacks that should be overcome: 1-Today everyone carries a mobile, you can't count with only one plug for each room (room for 4 people). 2-Lack of lockers within the room. 3-Better treatment to the client. 4-Charge fee of€ 5 per stay in it. So the final price is not the mark when it contracts. 5-Only two showers for the whole hostel. Advantages: 1-Location. Guests can walk to all sites. 2-silent Zone. 3-Wifi free of charge.

Verry Verry bad hostel, poor Wi-Fi and terrible services…

It is not a good hotel… And when I booked it was Hotel Toscana, but I do not know why they send me to this hotel… So, you buy one stuff and receives another… That is a shame…

Squallido and MOLTO rumoroso. Da evitare.

And horrible and also you spend 1 euro extra per night. As tax. Without any demands in the contract.
