This is the nicest hotel I have stayed at hands down. Denise and her staff went to every lenght to assure we had an amazing time. Yet still allowed for us to enjoy a tranquil experience at a fabulous hotel. Also, don't miss out on the best best breakfast we enjoyed in all of europe.

Spent five glorious days at the Castello di Sinio in September. This was our fourth visit in a half dozen years. Denise and her whole staff always treat us like family. We look forward to the delicious dinners Denise prepares. Each bite is an experience of the senses. For wine lovers this location is set right in the center of Langhe wine area and the Castello's wine list includes many of the local wineries. If you love good food, good wine and wonderful accommodations this is the place to go.

If you like the charm of midlevel castles, look no more. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Does not matter if you need an extra towel or getting service at the dinner table. It is very secluded hotel, so comfortable and quite time is guarantied. One the best hotels we've ever stayed in hands down.

Perfection The last time we stayed at this hotel was six years ago and I'm happy to say that, like a fine wine, it seems to have improved on perfection. The attention to detail is extraordinary. This is far from a "budget" establishment, but it is a good value to those who appreciate a hotel which offers more than simply a comfortable bed and a fancy name-tag above the door. The decor is consistent, the amenities diverse and the food — well, the food is on a par with any I've eaten during a lifetime of secret gluttony. The Hotel is a 12th Century castle immaculately renovated by the owner, Denise Pardini, who is a re-transplanted Italian/American and is a gifted chef as well. Yup, it’s a 900 year old castle all right. Overlooking vineyards, this place with its one meter thick walls could easily be a movie set. The timbers and planking are incredible and the modern systems blend seamlessly with the original fortress. Our room had a terra cotta tile floor, a plethora of every imaginable toilet amenity (Aqua de Parma) and appears newly renovated. The first time we stayed, the room we booked was a “superior” and is decent sized at 24 sq. Meters (about 260 sq. Ft. ), but faces the courtyard. On this stay, we’ve got a two room suite which is just lovely. The hotel even has a lovely petite swimming pool.

Had a wonderful three night stay here in late April. Denise and her staff are very welcoming and helpful not only regarding the hotel but also provide great recommendations for restaurants and wine tasting in the area. When we mentioned to Isabella we were going to the Enoteca at Castiglione Falletto, she not only called ahead for us but wrote down several of her favorite wines to try, showing a genuine passion for the wines of the region. Our room was spacious with luxurious appointments, very comfortable bed and fabulous views. This hotel was the highlight of all the places we stayed during our trip to Italy.

We really enjoyed our stay. Castello di Sinio is decorated with a lot of style and taste. The rooms are luxuriously furnished. It was really thought of everything.
It breaks your heart. You have the feeling that someone has realized his dream of a castle hotel in Piedmont, and you have the privilege to participate in it and can share this dream for a few days.

When you are lying in a four-poster bed like a princess, you can hear nothing but the silence and birdsong when the windows are open — and from time to time the bell of the church.

Denise is a wonderful hostess who pursues her profession with passion. This is true passion. She is warm and friendly and yet professional.

Sensational is the cuisine, i. E. The restaurant of the Castello di Sinio. We were eating almost everywhere, but what is offered here meets the highest standards. Here, too, cooking is done with great attention to detail and care. This is Piedmontese cuisine as you would expect.

Fantastic quaint place with lovely deco and clean comfortable decent sized rooms. Situated in the heart of Alba. Beautiful and tranquil gardens with swimming pool. Excellent selection of breakfast. Friendly and very accommodating staff. A must visit.

Shocked by the less than perfect reviews; the hotel and hospitality are some of the best I have ever experienced. The grounds are immaculate, the food is out of this world (breakfast is unreal; eggs are over the top) and I was very very surprised that the dinner was the best we would end up having in Lange. We received excellent recommendations for tastings (we did Elio Altare, Casinca Fontana, Burlotto) and for local cuisine (la concinella was incredible — get the local veal dish and a bottle of 2013 Bartolo Mascarello is only $100E ; young but still unparalleled quality Barolo). The hospitality and level of service is that of a 5 star hotel (and not the fake 5 stars you find in major cities and Mexico, but that of small luxury hotels you read about in world rankings). I sometimes take reviews with a grain of salt given that most 3rd party sites (affiliates) usually take a fee for every reservation they book, and thus curate positive review; but I can provide an honest review of the overall perfect quailty of stay and service we received. This will be first on our list to book during our next piedmonte visit. Central location as well; only 15-20 to every major Barolo village! Enjoy!

Best hotel in the Langhe! Intimate, beautiful, perfectly situated in the heart of wine country, impeccable hospitality, wonderful staff. Denise is not only an incredible chef, but also a fabulous hostess.

This is likely the best hotel experience I've ever had. Our room and the grounds were authentic and beautiful. The meals, prepared by owner Denise, delicious. But what really sets this hotel apart is the heart they put into everything they do. Every customer is unique and every customer is the most important customer. My husband and I renewed our vows on the property and Denise and Isabella took care of everything — even a little note at the breakfast table the next morning. They know the area intimately and will help you coordinate whatever it is you want to do. Small, intimate and elegant.

Definitely not recommended. The american owner Denise is shockingly rude and honestly I have never been made feel less welcome than we did at Castello di Sinio.

My husband and I travel often, and this was one of the best hotels we booked. We spent 3 nights in Sept of 2014 and will be going back this fall to spend a full week. The rooms are well appointed and the grounds are immaculate. The gourmet dinners are to die for. We have noting back to say about this hotel. Can't wait to return.

I visited the Castello di Sinio in November because I was looking for a venue to hold an event to November 2014. I liked it and decided to send an email to book rooms well in advance, because November is a month in demand in the area thanks to the truffle fair. I sent an e mail before the 6/12 and I had no answer. I thought they were closed and I sent a second e-mail to one month. Still no match and I thought I'd bring in a caterer friend Barolo to have answered in the affirmative or negative. Well, this time I have not received a negative response. To me, this is a very bad business card and considering the disorganization and the total absence of professionalism I donot.
