I and my family are forever grateful to her, I invested some few dollars and got my profit after sometime which I withdrew. She is an expert and has also proven to be reliable and trustworthy. Nice quiet place and very personal.

Very welcoming and multilingual staff, almost perfect location, bar and catering. One regret, having only stayed one night.

The staff at Lake Como Hostel were very friendly and helpful! We are older and did not feel out of place. It was an easy short walk into the lovely center/ piazzas of Menaggio. We were able to save a lot of money in our travel budget as we tour Italy. The views from our room of the lake could not be beat — probably better views than if we had spent €300/night at a fancy hotel Have fun as you visit Lake Como — which is now one of our favorite destinations!. This is a great choice if you want an affordable option to explore the Lake Como area. The facilities are all very nice and it is conveniently located to access activities, ferries, and buses. Would stay again.

Relatively cheap hostel with great views to the Como Lake. The rooms are old and you need to set up your own bed but service is great and frequent costumers are friendly. There is also a number of board games (monopoly, scrabble, …) and a ping pong table outside. Recommended if traveling with friends on a budget. Kayak rentals available and breakfast included.

The views from the hostel were so good. The people were friendly and welcoming. The washrooms need bit of cleaning and the rooms are small and conjusted. There were no plug points near the bed and not enough for all the people in the room.

It's a wonderful place! If you stay here, you may not be looking for a better place to eat. Great view from the track, delicious food, a selection of drinks. I really enjoyed it. Thank you. You can hire a bike or a kayak.

It's good for what you pay for. It's location is ideal and most rooms have a wonderful view of the lake. The bar and restaurant are cheap and they have lots of things for you to see and do. They also are located very close to the ferry.

Wonderful hostel across the road from Lake Como. There is a small public beach about 1min walk from the hostel. Car parking is available free of charge. Atmosphere is lovely and the staff are fantastic. We opted for a 3 course meal which was very reasonably priced and was delicious. The rooms are in need of a little renovation as there weren't many sockets and the beds were very squeaky and wobbly. Other than this it's fantastic value for money and no words can describe the view.

Loved this place! While not a modern hostel and the downside of being locked out of the common room between 2 and 5pm (but lots of outdoor seating always available and mixed dorms have a balcony to hang out on). The view was amazing and staff friendly. Food/drink was great and cheap. Social for a solo traveller in the evenings — locals would hang out too. Great location for transport. Would definitely stay again. Had a view of the lake from bunk bed :D.

A place characterized by a typical positive atmosphere. Even just for a pizza or an aperitif worth a jump.

Truly the place to stay in Menaggio! The staff was friendly & helpful, the homemade meals were delicious, and the location was perfect with a gorgeous view! Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Decent rooms, cheap unlimited dinner, €5 liters of wine, and a great location with a great view. Desk has limited hours so it was challenging to leave early (and we lost our towel deposit), but okay otherwise. Free parking is available for those who drive in.

The place has a wonderful panorama, spaces both indoor and outdoor cozy, as well as the staff, friendly and very sympathetic. The rooms were clean and tidy, of the right size, fitted with blankets sheets and pillow cases, and towels if needed.
The breakfast is homemade and simple, but very good, as well as lunch and dinner. I liked the outside space at the restaurant, where you can eat and play ping pong.

Well-located youth hostel with a view of the lake. By cons small rooms a little, bunk beds very low and bathroom tiny. It's a bit dated, and it's expensive compared to the comfort of other hostels in which one was — but on other Italian lakes, maybe for Lake Como it's more difficult?

Very homely and nice hostel. Host is really sweet and makes you feel comfortable. Window opens to the beautiful Lake Como. Rest of the facilities are nice. Complementary breakfast is there. You can order dinner and lunch from the restaurant below, it's very economical.

We stayed in the annex but dined here with a great grill at cheap prices. Great view. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great!

Lovely, easily accessible and have an awesome view at como lake. Stuff are super friendly and they serve delicious pizzas. Highly recomended for travelers.

Excellent location. Friendly staff. Beautiful views. Huge rooms although en suite shower was a bit small. Loved it here.

Wonderful place. Only if the rooms are slightly bigger. But it's okay, considering it's a small town, it's a bargain to stay here and experience Como in ease.

This is such a great hostel. It is right on the main road along the lake. They have a parking lot which was good for us since we were driving. They are also only a 5 minute walk from the Menaggio ferry stop. The rooms all have a view. My picture was taken from our balcony. They have a great atmosphere. They have a guitar that you can use so in the evenings so people were playing the guitar and strangers from around the world were all singing together. It is a short walk to the center of town for food or for gelato or restaurants. The hostel also has a ping pong table and things that you can rent like bikes. The people at the reception desk were very knowledgeable and they gave us great advice of things to do around the lake. We had such a pleasant experience at this hostel.

Had a fantastic 4 night's here, amazing location and view's, lovely staff & volunteer (Flo) food was very good, facilities were good for being a hostel even with the hole's in my clean sheet's, comfy bed and the female dorm has a balcony with views beyond beautiful. Met lot's of new friend's. Thank you 'La Primula' you were a big part of making my 1st solo backpacking holiday an uplifting experience for me. We enjoyed a very friendly welcome by the multilingual staff. Dinner was good. The night was calm, the view towards lake Como was spectacular. Breakfast was a too sugary and I wish they would have some healthy options. Unfortunately we had to pay for the table soccer. The shared bathroom was not too clean.

Super helpful and friendly staff! We had dinner at the hostel every night which was delicious. I would highly recommend staying here. It's also in a great location right by the best villas and ferry dock. I stayed in the "annex" peace lodge up the hill and it was very quiet, had great Wi-Fi in my room, and had its own kitchen and breakfast separate from the main hostel.

Barely qualifies as a hostel! Book only if no other choices left.

Mold in the walls, hairs on the sheets, soils and dirty sanitary, dusty blankets, ants, spiders and cockroaches… 9 people in a tiny room with 8 beds, they only gave us no key. Shower with cold water. 5 people housed in an outbuilding for lack of space… Total chaos!

The location is awesome, the view from the rooms are great, and this place has a very inviting community area. Full with big tables, lounge areas, fusbol table, and more, you'll be very cozy here. The staff is great and are happy to welcome you and answer any questions about the area you might have such as things to do or places to hike.

The guys who work there are very nice. Clean and well maintained in a beautiful location.

Great value for money in a brilliant location.

The whole place needs a good scrubbing before hosting more people. The mattress covers need to be laundered and the bathrooms sanitized properly. The devices are great, staff are very helpful and well informed. The area takes your breathe away and the meals are very reasonable. The tours provided are fun and well organized. Local walks are very fun.
