This property is in a location that you cannot drive a car too unless you are a resident or hotel guest. As a hotel guest, you give you registration to the front desk & they are supposed to pass the plate to the local authorities. When I stayed here last summer, I gave them my plate to report. Many months later I received 2 fines for driving through town. At 1st they said they would take care of the matter but never did. Fines have doubled. This hotel has not helped, replied or now even answered emails. Very deceitful! Stay away especially if you drive here.

The restaurant across the hotel was fantastic. We had dinner and afternoon drinks both nights we were there. A very special thankyou to our waitress Marina who was so gracious. She really made our stay in Bellagio extra special. Mille grazie Marina xx.

Large room with old-notaned but pleasant décor. Breakfast ok but nothing more. Outdoor restaurant with terrace by the lake with responsive and competent staff. Pizze correct but pasta below average.

Speaking strictly about the bar outside of the hotel. The place seems inviting and the prices fair; however, the staff was deplorable. After asking if and where we should be seated, the lady behind the bar hardly answered and tossed her hand to suggest we sit. After sitting and waiting to be helped for a good 10 minutes I signaled to a waiter that we would like to order. Not only did he make eye contact but his collegue also pointed out that we needed attention and he still ignored us. We waited a few minutes to see if he was just getting something for another table but instead we could see him standing by the bar. Needless to say we got up and left. Would not spend money at a place with staff this rude. Will not return.

Great location, we had a lake view and spent a lot of time looking out the windows and watching people enjoying life and of course the boats! The hotel is very clean, staff very helpful and friendly, breakfast excellent, evening meal excellent (even if you are gluten free). Ice cream parlour attached to the hotel was SPLENDID, that’s obviously where the hotel name comes from!

Really nice hotel. We stayed in a room with lake view, although the rooms are a bit dated, they are clean and have fantastic views. Meals are nice and the staff are so helpful.

We had a lovely two week holiday here in June. The room was on the third floor with a Juliette balcony which directly overlooked the ferry terminal. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. As it was our anniversary during our stay, we were given a lovely bottle of champagne to enjoy. Thanks once again to all the staff.

Very nice hotel. Breakfast is very good. My only negative comment is that the hotel management does not let you control that air conditioning in the room. So, you must ask them to turn it on and then you have no temperature control. You freeze until about 2 a. M. And then sweat till 6 a. M. When it comes back on. We are adults! Treat us like them.

I was at lunch with a friend of mine, great location but I suggest some improvements! First of all the service and the covered, considering that you pay do not have to absolutame missing those that are the basics of an Italian table, ie salt pepper vinegar and, above all, a good oil EVO! Second, I ordered Swordfish to the Mediterranean which provides, as a fixed contour and no replaceable, boiled vegetables! Given that I think this dish would accompany better with grilled vegetables or potatoes, at least it would be nice to present them in a certain way, maybe Julienne and not cubes type minestrone Orogel without, however, have the opportunity to dress them Missing the oil!
I hope this review can be of help to improve the shortcomings as in my intent!

Hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is helpful. Be prepared for a lot of street activity if your room faces the lake.

Magnificent building in prime location, good food and excellent staff, particularly in the dining room. Good large high-ceilinged bedrooms but narrow beds (2ft 6in) and lumpy pillows.

Ho pranzato al bar dell'hotel in riva al lago. Esperienza positiva, prezzo non eccessivo se si considera la posizione. Servizio gentile ma un po' troppo lento. Buone le pizze e I drink.

Speaking of the bar, great service and great ice cream cups, they seemed inviting even the pizzas.

Grand old style hotel. We had a room over looking the lake with stunning views. Staff polite and helpful. Wi-Fi good throughout hotel. Sited in beautiful Bellagio close to ferry and lots of eateries. We loved it ☺

Great view of the lake and very pleasant staff working the bar. We had beer, wine and potato chips. All enjoyable overlooking the lake. The lower part right on the lake didn't open until 4:30pm so we were a little bit too early for that :)

Beautiful old style grand hotel. Staff polite and helpful, good Wi-Fi in rooms. We had a room with a fantastic view over the lake. Well located for views, boat trips, and many local eateries. We loved it. Not too hot in October (in the 20s) and glorious sunny weather.

Great location. It's a minute walk from the port. Beautiful hotel with a lakeside view. Friendly, helpful staff. Only small negative comment is the creaking floors. They're probably the original flooring from the early 1900s. They need to upgrade their bed sheets, too.

Reviewing the resto-cafe: Amazing views from this place. Located on the lake front which gives you mesmerizing views. It has good food and very good ice cream. Service was of high quality as well.

A friend and myself stayed in separate double rooms w/c 9th Sept 2017. Rooms had a lovely view at front of hotel, which were very clean with towels changed daily. Comfortable beds. The staff were lovely and helpful especially head waiter, Luca. The main problem, especially as we had quite a bit of rain, was that the only bar was across the road. That bar closed by 21.20 on 3 nights of our 6 day stay, leaving us with no access to even a coffee much less a holiday drink! What we and other guests couldn't understand, was that the hotel housed an ice cream parlour that certainly could have been turned into a cosy bar off foyer. Especially as the outside bar opposite hotel had an ice cream parlour! (Perhaps one less ice cream parlour and one inside cosy bar would much better please guests? ).

Would not stay again 1st we got stuck in the elevator twice left my wife traumatized. Had to walk the stairs many time after. Staff were friendly enough but a older bigger women on the front desk was rude and abused staff in front of guessed. Wi fi did not work in our room we were told it should but no luck. Other wise good location nice food. Amazing time spent.

Great view from the terrace and good was good but service was poor. Very busy very touristy crowd. Could also do with a lick of paint.

In short, in the standard both as a local (under a veranda) and for the products… Expensive prices for the service and the products served… you pay the location on the lake…

Very friendly and helpful staff. At first a little skeptical about bringing a baby. But everything turned out fine. The staff loved our baby. The rooms are good and the location in Bellagio is great. Breakfast was okay keeping the low quality of bread throughout Italy in mind. The scrambled eggs was the best ever tasted at a breakfast buffet. Silk and creamy.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in May 2013. The staff were helpful, approachable and made us feel very welcome. Although the street cleaners and dust carts start very early, they really didn't bother us. The food was fabulous. The room was spacious and quiet. I had read reports that the maitre D, Perry, was a little surly, but I never found this to be the case, and I got on very well with him. The only time he became stressed was when he had 200 seats to serve in the restaurant, and they all had to be indoors due to rain, and even then, My wife and I managed to raise a smile from him. I would certainly stay here again, should the opportunity arise.

A great value in a great location. Most helpful staff. A bit rustic but great atmosphere. Avoid the restaurant.
