Review of UNAHOTELS Malpensa 4*

Arrived at Una Hotel with a family of 12. Hotel reception made us feel unwelcome and everything was a problem at the start. Not a good experience after traveling 18, 000klms by air and 4, 000klms by vehicle through Italia. Their hotel regulations only allow one child per room according to female reception staff. What do families of four do? Very questionable. … My children are foster care children. This became a major problem because my children didn’t have the same surname. We have travelled the world and no one has ever questioned their travel authority. This hotel demanded a copy of their travel authority and then contemplated if they were going to accept it. Not a good feeling. Customer service failed in this area. Not even the Italian boarder control, Croatia border control or our native home border control ever once questioned the children’s travel authority or asked to see it, but UNA hotel one in Italy Milan did. I’ve been in more then 20 hotels throughout north Italy. This UNA Hotel was was the only hotel in Italy that did request my children’s travel authorization. The internet is super slow, like in earths 20th century period where dial up speed was at. Was told if we wanted faster internet we would have to pay for a booster. The air conditioner switched off during the night. Screen control flickers which is a little concerning and the toilet doesn’t stop running water. Go to have dinner in the hotel and got told there is only one chef for a whole hotel which would mean waiting quite a while. Wow. International standards, failed. A big disappointment from a professional looking hotel with some form of world class in appearance. Customer service is not a strong focus of delivery with the UNA Hotel. It is more para military treatment with the two female reception staff we dealt with but everyone else was really nice. The lady in the cafe areas was the best. So warm welcoming and friendly. Having had the above experiences, I probably wouldn’t come back. When I’m on holidays I like to ensure the above is not a problem. On a more positive note the breakfast and coffee was quite nice, just needs to be refilled more frequently. Thank you.
