I stayed here with my teenage kids and was amazed by the generosity of Enzio and his staff! The spa is fabulous. The breakfast is wonderful and fresh! We also had the pleasure of meeting some of his family who was visiting and they invited us to dine with them — loved it! It felt like home away from home. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Very nice stay, the rooms are very clean and pretty. The owners are very nice and helpful. I stay 10 days and I felt like in my house with my family. Highly recommended.

Lelive is in the pristine medieval village of Sermoneta. The owners and hosts are Dino and Nicoletta. You come to Sermoneta for three reasons: experiencing the castle, town and churches; the nearby and extraordinary Ninfa Gardens; and to stay at Lelive. Where to begin … We were traveling from Baltimore to Rome, and driving from Rome to Sermoneta … 24 hours of travel. Few cars are allowed in Sermoneta. At the town entrance there is a small space that holds about ten cars. Dino met us there and drove us and our luggage about 300 yards into town and up a vertiginous cobbled path barely wider than the car and — we were at Lelive. Perfect. They had kindly arranged to make our room available at 10 am and we fell into bed for a two hour nap. That afternoon, we had reservations for the “English Tour” at Ninfa Gardens at 3 pm. As we prepared to drive there, Dino offered to take us in his Fiat 500 with the top rolled back. We protested, he kindly insisted, and so off we went. The best part about the drive was Dino narrating the history of the area as we went along … and we getting to know him better and he, us. We thanked him several times for his generosity, and each time Dino said “it is nothing. ” On our return, Dino and Nicoletta brought out a bottle of local red wine, with fresh mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. We sat with them in the late afternoon, in Lelive’s small outdoor courtyard and it was again, perfect. Dino speaks English, but Nicoletta not so much.
