On the 3rd floor (without lift), behind an anonymous door two blocks from Termini train station, you'll find cosy little rooms, with high standard and at least one of them has a balcony. Price is what you'd expect for a location like that (i. E. Not the best cost-to-quality ratio) but still recommended for anyone coming or going by train. All major sights are within walking distance and the staff gave us great recommendations for restaurants along with a free map.

Great, large room and very friendly staff! They gave us an awesome map with a TON of info and fpod recommendations, too! No breakfast and no elevator.

In a great spot, not far from Termini, there are a few stairs but able bodied people won’t have a issue. Highly recommend this hostel, and would stay here again.

Great place — more like a guesthouse than a hostel. The staff were very friendly and willing to help. They even gave us a tin of Italian biscotti as a gift. The room was extremely clean with modern bathroom, TV and coffee machine. Quiet place to stay. About 10 minutes walk from the Termini station, there is also a metro stop a few minutes from the hostel.

Truly a great place to stay in Rome. It was amongst the best rooms we had during our entire trip. It is a lot more exclusive than a lot of hotels and the quality / look&feel is really great! Very highly recommended!

We loved the deal we got! The room was lovely and very very clean, it is in a very central area.

Fab little hotel. Our room was lovely; clean, nicely decorated and with all the essentials (coffee machine, fridge, tv, air conditioning and a good shower). Staff are extremely helpful and give you great recommendations which makes it very welcoming. We had a room at the back overlooking the tiny courtyard which was very quiet.

My first trip out of the US was 10 years ago and this is where I stayed. I would highly recommend this facility as the brother and sister that run it are great! Ercole (sp? ) actually went to the airport when my wife's luggage was lost and brought it to our room for us. It was on the bed when we got back from the Vatican. I haven't forgotten about this place and will return someday. The proximity to the subway and even walking to many of the sites is incredible and the cost is amazing. They also provided inside information of great places to eat, drink, and relax. I can not say enough great things about this place.

Great place to stay in Rome. Initially we had second thoughts about the location due to the fact that it's Termini. But it turned out to be very quite and peaceful. Owners were very helpful and provided us with a map featuring food, coffee, ice cream and sight seing recommendations. Suite itself was very clean and tidy. As mentioned before, original ceiling is amazing. Bathroom fanstatic as well. The only negative thing we noticed — thin walls, but considering age of the building — it is hard to complain. We would definately recommend staying in Blue Hostel, and hopefully will stay there once more ourselves.

A perfect place to stay while in Rome. Close to the historical center with good service for a hostel. I have stayed here a couple of times. The rooms has free Wi-Fi, good beds with linen and free towels to use. You get information from the staff about good restaurants nearby and help with reservations at restaurants.

Lovely room overlooking a quiet courtyard and only a 5 minute walk from Termini Station. The manager was genuinely happy to help, and provided us a map and recommendations of the best places in Rome!

I had a wonderful stay! The original ceiling is breathtaking, the room and bathroom is very spacious and the bed is like heaven! I was given an overview of the area with a map of carefully selected sites and restaurants and the room had everything I needed. I would stay again in a heart beat. Be sure to look forward to lovely hosts and good service.

Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Location is great — close to Termini train station and within walking distance of many places to eat and see in Rome. Supermarket within a block. Staff gave a helpful orientation to Rome and gave excellent recommendations on where to eat. Location felt safe. Although staff is not on site 24/7, there is a phone to get a hold of staff 24/7. Rooms were clean and well kept, cleaned every day. Room includes bathroom, fridge, coffee maker. Felt like I was living in an apartment in Rome! Definitely would stay here again!

Really nice local hotel, called a hostel but with the hotel experience. Owner spent 10 minutes taking us thorough all the good places to eat and places to go and waited outside the building when we couldn't find it's location. Rooms are more like your own apartment and are clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend as well worth the money.

We stayed 2 nights at Blue Hostel and we hope soon other vacation days to return! Congratulations to Hercules for availability and hospitality. The rooms are bright and furnished with taste, location perfect … What about the ideal place for those who want to visit Rome. Excellent!

Perfect if you prefer family-run, non-chain, slightly quirky accommodation over generic hotels. Ercole spent a good 15 minutes with us, explaining local eateries (which were awesome) and directions to the main sites, most of which were within easy walking distance. For those that weren't (e. G. Vatican), the main Termini station and Metro with.

13/ 05/10 Great location, nice to be met at the station and be given a run down of things to do in Rome. In 5 weeks of travelling this was the only accomodation with feather pillows. We had a lovely large room everything new but lots of character with exposed timbers in the ceiling. It was a haven to come back to at night. It needs to have a small friidge to keep milk and breakfast supplies and somewhere to hang towels. We would stay in the same room again.
