Great hotel in a great location. Just one street north of the Pantheon and centrally located. Very easy to walk to everything you'll want to see in Rome. Entrance is on a little piazza that, while being next to a major attraction, seems a world removed. Pretty quite and modern windows in room blocked out almost all noise. Our room's window opened to the piazza which allowed us to bring in fresh air along with all the sounds and feel of the city. Old building, with old world charm. But with modern updates and very nice accommodations. Perfect mix that made us feel more like we were living there then visiting. Surrounded by tons of restaurants, several right out the front door, all good to eat at. Gelato shop on the piazza is great too. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Franceso for helping set up our stay. I suggest booking direct with the hotel instead of using a website. You'll get more bang for your buck. This will be the first place we look for accommodations during our next visit to Rome.

It is located in the palace in the center of the square right in front of the magnificent church of Piazza della Maddalena. The square is in the heart of Rome a jewel to visit. Important restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

Good location, not a traditional hotel, more like an airbnb.

We stayed at the Relais Maddalena 3 nights in June 2017. Our overall experience was fantastic. We were met upon our arrival by Francesco, who booked us into our room and spent at least half an hour with a map explaining which sites we might wish to visit and restaurant recommendations. Our room was spotless, and the bathroom was large and modern. Linens and towels were of the highest quality, and there was a well-stocked minibar. The air conditioning worked without incident. Breakfast options included hams, fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, croissants, jams, American coffee, cappuccino, blood orange juice, etc. The breakfast room was bright, cheery, and like everything at the hotel, extremely clean. While we did not partake, there were some nice wine bottles available at very reasonable prices if you wished to take an afternoon time-out in the dining room. The location of the hotel, between Campo del Fiore and the Trevi fountain, is hard to beat — the Pantheon is a short block away, and there are many good restaurants and cafes immediately surrounding the hotel. It was our first trip to Rome, and the hotel was one reason that the trip was so fun. We would absolutely stay there again and can recommend this hotel without reservation!

The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. Our beds were very comfortable. The breakfast included hams, cheeses, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, pastries, and fantastic cappuccino.

The hotel is great. The the staff has been very friendly and the free breakfast in the morning is delicious.

They charged Me a night without giving the option to enjoy. By confusion I booked a single room. I called two days before to the hotel to change. I was not allowed to alternate, or change room, or take sleeping the marriage in a single bed, OR CANCEL RESERVATION. A pity.

Great location just a few steps from the Pantheon. Great courtesy and professionalism in welcoming. Great care in the rooms. If there are kettles in room would be a six stars. Reasonable prices.

Wonderful place to stay. Rooms are comfortable and modern, but the building has an old feel as befits a building of the 15th century! The management and staff are very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The location cannot be better. This is where I will stay whenever I am in Rome.

My wife and I sayed here in July of 2010. The rooms are amazing by any standards. We actually stayed here two separate times during our vacation and both rooms looked like they were completely remodeled with top quality fixtures and furniture. Francessco and the entire staff were incredibly helpful and accomodating. You will not find a better location in all of Rome. Highly recommend. Thanks again.

Beautiful bed and breakfast treated in detail by the attentive owner, Francis, person available and sincere taste. The splendid context of p. Za della Maddalena, really in the center of Rome. I hope to come back soon.

Francesco and staff are wonderful. We are going back to stay. Beautiful and ideally located in Roma. We left a guide book tbere and Francesco graciously mailed it to us in the US. We will be staying again in the fall. Having stayed again Oct. 2012, it was great to see Francesco again and the hard work he has been engaged in to add to this beautiful B&B. Everything was wonderful as before, and the new, larger breakfast room was outstanding. I cannot possibly entertain the idea of considering another place to stay in Rome. Semplicemente stupendo.

I've been to Rome 5 times. The last 2 times I stayed here and now that I've discovered Relais Maddalena and Francesco and his amazing staff, I would not stay any other place. The rooms are very large and decorated in very fine taste. Francesco is incredibly nice, helpful, accommodating. My daughter and son-in-law came to Rome and stayed here on their honeymoon. They loved it also. The location is very central. Highly recommended.
