Hostel too beautiful in infrastructure but bad in attention. There is no manager and the guest stays alone without any attention. The location is good.

Excellent from start to finish. Roberto very friendly and funny. The rooms are huge. The bathroom was external and private, had a sign that marked it was exclusive to our room. The location is excellent, very close to Rome finish, subway and multiple bus lines. Within walking distance of the Trevi Fountain and the Altar of Grace and Piazza Venezia.
You must pay a city tax that corresponds to 3, 5 euros per night per person.
Breakfast is available 24 hours a time and although small enough, with croissants, toast, jams, Nutella, yogurt and cereals. It's got milk, juice, coffee, tea and Nesquik. It has a microwave which for us was buenisimo as it gave us the possibility to buy food to warm things that in other places we could not do.
Room service is very good, offers towel, soap and shampoo.

It was ok. The only thing is that we went around 8:30 AM to the kitchen and there was only coffee for breakfast, I will assume that this day everyone woke up early and ate everything. If you arrive after 10PM they will charge you Monnet for 'late arrival' and they do not care if you were lost. The answer we got was "for us, it does not matter if you came from airplane, train, bike, taxi, etc"

The best thing is the location. Very limited breakfast.

It's not a hotel. It doesn't really serve breakfasts. You have a kitchen where they leave you soluble coffee, some bread and yogurt. Although they sell you the bathroom this one is not in the room. The only good thing is the location and the cleaning girl who treated us very well.

Staff was very kind and humorous. Room is comfortable and suit. Close the lepublica station and termini. Bathroom is cozy. I recommend this b&b.

Location is great, walking distance to lots of attractions. Nice room with living room and kitchen, would like to stay here next time.

This place may be enough to spoil the impressions of the journey. The only one plus this location, all the rest is only for minus.
First, this place is very hard to find, and there's no sign on the door.
The second is that the staff (in the person of the Chief manager) is very hostile to visitors. After 10 hours of flying, we were yelled by the manager for having missed ten minutes without telling us, taking him to a room that was already in need of repair, where the air conditioner didn't work. For all of the claims, the manager responded, "Don't Like to leave" (naturally, without returning the money, because the prepayment charged 14 days before the arrival). All of this beauty in the photo of the tapestry and sculptures of the hall was not the same as the room corridor. Wi-Fi was only caught in the lobby, had to leave the room and sit there with other visitors (resembling dorm).
Two years after the trip, there was still an unpleasant residue from visiting the site.
The worst B in Rome.

I didn't like it at all. While the room was nice, we had a supposed private bathroom out of room. In the morning I found it used by other people. The price was for a room with private bathroom. I wouldn't go back. Luckily the other day we had booked another hotel in the same palace but much better (Esedra Inn).

We stayed here for a couple of nights in early December 2016. We had a very warm welcome and helped with finding all the sites to visit! The B&B is very conveniently located and near good and cheap transport links. The room was a good size and ideal for a short city break — even offers a simple free breakfast! Very grateful and a very successful visit.

Exactly the kind of place you need when exploring Rome, nothing to fancy and well priced giving you somewhere to stay on a night, the rest of the time you can spend exploring.

Раздражённый администратор "Антуан Чехyeв" (он так представился) сказал мало кушать, в декоративный сад с фонтаном не ходить, а если что-то не нравится, переезжать в пятизвёздочный отель напротив. Никогда больше сюда не приедем.

Irritated administrator "Antuan Chehuev" (he introduced himself) said eat "a little", not go to an ornamental garden with a fountain, and if there is something than we do not like, move to an opposite five star hotel. Will never come here again.

Wonderful stay in the center of Rome! Close to Spanish steps and Trevi, walking distance to Termini and also metro Repubblica. Many shops around and 2 supermarkets — Spar (on Via Nazionale) and Carrefour Express (on Via Napoli). Tea, coffee and snacks available 24hrs.

It's cool! Ask for room no. 9.

2 Great locations. We stayed at the Via Nazional location. Convient to many major sites and restaurants. Right on the bus route to the Vatican. Accomodations were extremely clean. The rooms had private bathrooms, although some were a few steps down the hall. Alberto was very helpful with sightseeing and restaurant locations. A much more authentic accomodation vs. A traditional American hotel. If your looking for the Ritz, this is not for you. We enjoyed it very much and if we go to Rome again we will stay here again.

We have stayed with Roberto several times and when we need a place in Roma, he is the first one we go to. He is a gracious and generous host. The rooms have always been clean and ready for us even with no notice! I highly recommend the Matisse to anyone. The Nazionale location is perfect for the city, close to everything you need.

The innkeeper made the whole experience so unpleasant for us that it ruined what could have otherwise been an OK value. He was consistently rude and condescending, and demanded payment in cash (which was not a requirement when booking). The breakfasts were also as bad as I've seen in an Italian b&b — the cheapest packaged grocery store food. We'll certainly never return.
