I was very disappointed with this hostel. The location is great, being close to a lot of main attractions but the facilities need a lot of work. I stayed for 5 nights and the shower was broken and clogged, the Wi-Fi did not work once while I was there and the room was lacking in basic things such as lamps, lockers, electrical outlets and there was not enough keys for everyone staying in the rooms therefore we had to share or rely on someone opening the door. Very nice staff but needs some work.

Great arrangements. Last minute room shuffles were done for different bookings with friends. TV arrangements, common room sitting, washing machine, utensils, microwave, toaster. Had a good experience.

Broken windows, poorly cleaned and poorly managed rooms. The entrance is cramped and not accessible. The rooms are poorly distributed in the buildings around. The spaces in the rooms are narrow and the services are poor or almost missing. For the quality level you should expect lower Prices. But Rome is Rome and so the boat goes on…

As a young bourgeois of soursonne I was all excited at the announcement of our arrival at this commune but that she disappointed when I saw this hotel sleep s its equal to poor quality materials the poor reception of lesser quality my Concierge Albert does much better.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. History of not very sharp keys located for this move in Rome. Difficult accessibility to his room. No privacy in so little space.

This hotel does not contain any sound insulation we hear the neighbors and they hear us. Problems with the electrical outlets not secure to European standards and my beds are squeaky and uncomfortable. But the staff and very correct.

A good place to sleep a few nights, if you don't have special needs it's fine, especially for the location and the price it has. I found no problem cleaning the rooms. I would Definitely stay here again.

A crappy hotel. Bad treatment of staff. The rooms are very good. There's No Wi-Fi. The bathroom you can not do not pee, because you do not enter. The shower's falling. The fridge does not go and has a rotten smell. The towels smells like vinegar, there's not much room for suitcases. The receptionist first when we arrived we spoke in Spanish (in our language) and then when we went to claim the other day, she answered us in Italian. Like, you didn't know Spanish the day before.

This place have rooms without window… They will never give your money back, to make sure check better before pay.

Small rooms, not very clean, radiators not working, no toilet paper and little professionalism of the staff. There are no lockers with the padlock as it was specified and the luggage storage is accessible to all, so not sure. Can go if you do not have claims for 1-2 nights also considered proximity to Termini station.

A very rundown "hotel" If you can call it that. With us the closet was broken and the toilet seat could be lifted ^^ tip from me: at breakfast in the café diagonally opposite!

This shared accommodation practises racial discrimination against Asians therefore I'd urge all Asians to boycott it.

Good value for money, location fairly central and close to bars and restaurants, courteous and helpful the staff, of course is a low cost solution so as such should be considered.

Awesome place. The staff was very friendly and I would definitely visit again. I had doubts whether the place would be good. But after my first night there I wanted to stay three more days. Lovely place.

Als je een goed hotel zoekt, is dit niet waar je wilt zijn. De lobby is in principe goed, maar heel erg klein. De kamers bevinden zich ergens anders, dus je moet even via buiten lopen. De kamers zijn heel erg klein voor, iets van 10 m2 voor 6 mensen. Het badkamerslot bestaat niet, en de douche is een klein koud straaltje. Toch nog een sterretje erbij voor het aardige personeel.

Very comfortable. Of all the Rome hotels I've been in, this one is definitely the best.

Receptionist was nice but the room was bad. Especially the shower, which was either ice cold, or burning hot (when there was hot water…). The toilets were really bad aswell. Don't go as a couple.

It's too hot but they offer fans and air conditioning (upon fee). It's somewhat crowded but the staff is really nice and friendly (shoutout to Tiziana ♥) and the location is great. Good value for the money and location.

Expensive very unpleasant and impolite staff no service and dirty in 4 days staying you get no change towel no soaps and if you ask for it they will tell you they can make an exception for you but you will pay for it.

A good service overall but as in many Italian hostels, you should be aware of city tax. That being said it's still not too expensive.

Realised my two children my husband and I in this hotel the weekend 9 10 11 of June and of them photos that have in the web of pretty rooms are of wood the beds is lying. You serve in a sort of reception and then tell you that the room is not in the hotel but in the building of to the side on the second floor with elevator with key that we can't use only the residents of the building guests give you a game with three keys a to the goal another pa entrance to the floor and another one of the rooms. It is as if it was a SafeHouse. Of them three nights to my son not you made the bunk bed or a day to them others if, not us changed or them sheets or us changed the towels. Put us a packet of SOAP for a single shower and a jaboncito of hands. What a shame hopefully close this hotel no one deserves a scam of this style. Bad stay …
Arrived in the room at midnight, so tired we try to go to sleep but by lifting the sheets we realized that the bed was full of hair and sheets were all dirty and stained … the room smelt of damp.
The bathroom all dusty and hot water from the sink did not go out …
I've never seen anything like that, I couldn't wait to come in the morning to go on.

Good only the promised Wi-Fi was very bad during our stay.

The room we stayed in was rather small, dirty walls, bathroom small but above all with a shower door missing, then turned into a pond whenever we took a shower.
The only window faced Via Castelfidardo rather noisy. The shutters of the same were locked with a chain and a padlock to prevent it from opening; Yes, because otherwise they would have collapsed to the ground since it lacked a cornerstone of support.
Redeeming factor: the bed was comfortable and the sheets piuutosto (amazingly! ) clean as well as pillowcases.
The hotel was frequented by people of "dubious" so to speak.
I want to clarify that we had reservations at the hotel "Castelfidardo" (across the street) : hotel 2 stars and with much better reviews. They moved us to another because you don't have any rooms available (but what good booking booking then! ), so we paid a one star hotel at two stars … nice rip off!
Avoid both hotels, I recommend it!

The good thing was the price. The window of the room was under a local, then at night it was hard to fall asleep. The room was too small in my opinion and the TV too small, it was larger than almost the remote.

A good choice where to spend 1/2 nights not so far from the train station. Kind staff.

The advertised Wi-Fi not working! And on the question of when it would work again, I got the answer: 3-4 days, which means virtually no Wi-Fi on my 5 days stay. The bathrooms are in a catastrophic state: Leaky cistern, according to pläutschender cistern (10min after the rinsing), shower is broken (water loses pressure and temperature) shower bracket is broken and the toilet paper holder is broken.
Towels are missing also.
In the 4-bed rooms, there are 3 Sockets 2 are used by default to operate the lamp and the TV. In one of 4 rooms, there is a fridge… The 2-storey bed lacking the head to get high, the grid is missing also! The door of the bathroom and the room is jammed. The heater is not adjustable. The gate of the House does not and is therefore worthless.

This hotel is located not in the specified Street, but on a side street in the courtyard (excludes the reception. )

De locatie is prima, service ook. Ze praten engels, wat fijn is. Maar de douches werken slecht: water wisselt vaak af tussen heel heet en heel koud. Verder werkt het afvoerputje ook niet goed en loopt het water op. De bedden slapen wel lekker, maar wel oncomfortabele dekens. Kamers zijn groot genoeg, ook voor meerdere personen. Er wordt fijn schoongemaakt maar het hotel is wel duur voor wat je krijgt.

Nice hotel if you need a cozy bed, peace and quiet. It's walking distance from center of Rome.

I have been to hotel Il Papavero. The hotel is clean, the staff is frendly. They clean all the days room. It is situated in the heart of rome. 7 minutes walking from Termini STATION.
I will defenetly come here again.

This hotel is a nightmare! don't stay here ever! the room is old and dirty, things are broken and, imagine you in the middle of winter in Rome and the heater does not work and the water is freezing. The staff did nothing in 2 nights and let us sleeping without heater! The hot water ended in the middle of bath and I got cold for sure! So, if you are looking for a good hotel don't even walk near here.

Very good hotel. Good price, frendly and helpfull staff, clean room and bath everyday, airconditioned, Wi-Fi in room.

Wonderful staff that makes you feel like family, clean rooms with ensuit bathroom and toilet; clean bedding that was changed every day, bathroom and toilet and room that was scrubbed everydayeven the cleaners fold your clothes and she did everyday for the 11nights that I stayed❤❤❤❤ very very friendly receptionists who are always happy to help with anything that would make your stay more comfortable, always happy to give local tips and advice about how to best enjoy their city. The hostel is located 5 minutes walk to Termini Station and 15 minutes by walking to all the major sites like Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and the Palatino! It's Perfect! I've wanted to come to Rome for a long time and this hotel really made me feel comfortable and at home; and I enjoyed the city a lot more. Too much I didn't want to leave Definitely, Definitely would be staying here again when I return to Rome. Definitely.

This hotel is the dirtiest and ranzigste hotel in whole Italy! It seems to be also illegal because it is housed in a private home and other residents reported by their ignorance about the hotel operation in her home. In the pillows were blood — and dirt stains, as well as several beetles. Everywhere it smelled like mold. This suspicion was confirmed in the bins not emptied. The safeguards are inadequate. In the showers, fuse boxes and television were (if any) were attached to the wall with tape. Addition to the, that several guests were robbed by the "staff" during their stay. Working black Indians seemed this was because every day unknown faces were for the "clean". For breakfast, you had to take a 1-hour bus ride to purchase. To the end of your stay a restraining order was issued by the receptionist us, because supposedly marble tiles were destroyed. The resulting Bill amounts to 26 000 € (! ).

When I stayed there, our bathroom was dirty all the time and there weren't enough outlets. There was no breakfast included in the price, no kitchen and no free Internet conexion. Staff was rude and made me pay 2 more euro per night because of a "new tax". Besides, every day there were somebody to wake up the rest of the people in the room and, of coure, staff didn't care about that. No Internet access.

It's a no-thrills kind of place. 5 bed dorms, lack of enough electrical plugs for everyone. One the flip side, staff was very friendly and helpful. For budget travelers, I recommend it.

Me and my friend stayed for three nights and they kept truning the heating of water system off, and eveyrtime I needed to make a shower I went to tell them, and then they send (after half an hour) someone to turn the system on, and you wait ten minutes until the water is hot. and the room was soo low to the street level that someone can jump in (not all the rooms are low), and the window is not secured with steel, telephone doesn't work, they gave us only one key to the room but we are two, so we had to leave the key in the reception (which is located at another entrance of the same building), the place is close to roma termini (which is the central railstation in Rome) and there is a McDonald's branch in a walking distance, to enter my rome from street I needed three keys, the first to the main gate, the second to the 5-6 rooms, and the third to my room, I had one bathroom in my room (shower and toilet seat and sink), and there was a bathroom outside for 5-6 rooms around me. I recommend staying there for young couples and people who can take a cold shower if there was no hot water and they can't wait 40 minutes.
