The staff were incredibly rude, uncaring and lacked basic knowledge of customer service. Hotel is cheap for a reason… they charged us our rate and tax before our stay… and charged us tax AGAIN when we left. They were the furthest thing from being friendly. At 130, they told us our room was not clean… so not a single room in the entire hotel was clean? But yet, they could give a room to others? But the lack caring for a human that is incredibly exhausted could have been… forgiven but if wasn’t for the fact they put US IN REAL DANGER. I went down to the front desk THREE TIMES… our television was ‘short circulating from electrical socket’ according my spouse who works with this stuff everyday. You could actually hear it short circulating and it was loud. They said they would have someone fix it, I expressed how we did NOT feel safe and he got angry with me just telling me it’s nothing and go back. It took 45m of us being scared to go to that side of the room… that itself is inexcusable.
Our room was the furthest thing was quiet, it was super loud from people outside, decor looks like it’s from 80s (pictures provides) and clearly is not maintained. The outside landscape is a disaster with overflowing garbage, graffiti, and just a lack of care. It’s 2KM to the train station, JUST THE TRAIN. It’a even further to get to Rome. do not go here. Save your money and run.

You get what you pay for. We booked Two single beds and one double bed, but we got one single and one double, after they realized their mistake, they added one more single bed, that made the room very small. Luckily, we booked one night only before our flight. Breakfast was good though.

The location is not comfortable. The building is quite old. The air conditioning in room was very poor and it took 3 days to fix it. The stuff is almost not helping, always busy. It was imposible to have a Wi-Fi in the room. The internet was available only in lobby. Also I must say that they have very clean and nice pool and pool area. The nightly price was less than average so I think it was worth the service.

This has to be one of the worst hotels I have stayed in for some time, the room was dirty and in need of an overhaul, the water stopped working in the taps and shower, when it did work it was cold, the reception staff were rude and dismissive, the free Wi-Fi did not work in the room, electrical sockets where hanging of the walls even in the bathroom, the AC was so noisy it kept you awake, the lifts were so out of service you dared to use them. The only plus points where the dining and pool staff who were very friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Took us ages to find the hotel, when we did couldn't find the way in. Needs to be signposted properly. Costumer service:Meh The guy who works in the restaurant at the pool is lovely though.

Where do we begin? This is a large hotel to the north east side of Rome, and from the outside looks like it would benefit from a major refit. Entering the reception area looks like they have tried to give the impression of a 4* hotel but that's where it ends. We had two rooms, both of which were very basic. The second room needed to be changed as the toilet did not work (basic functionality which you would expect from even the worst hotel). Our room was clean if a little dated. The toilet worked but the taps not so good. Showers were warm but difficult to use. Wi-Fi was free but so poor on the second floor that you could barely search using Google let alone anything else. Onto the food. The waiting staff were friendly, and the evening menu was ok, and at €15 was reasonable. The breakfast again tasted ok and there was a reasonable choice. Part way through breakfast a member of our party sat on a chair which then collapsed spraining there wrist. Scanning the surrounding furniture would suggest that this is a common problem judging by the number of broken chairs in the adjacent room. The waiting staff seemed concerned and sent us to the reception to file a report. There was no first aider available in the hotel, and fortunately for the hotel it was a sprain and not a cut as the contents of the first aid kit was sparce and very little of any use.

The biggest weakness by far is the location. I came expecting it to be in the outskirts of the city but it was truly something else. The area around is dirty and has so much smelly garbage. There are a few restaurants around but they're not as near as one would expect. Another minus is the service. Upon arriving at the told check-in time, they told us our room is not ready yet. We waited an hour more after being tired and travelling until we could resgister. However the room was quite nice, overall. Air conditioning was the best part, but the beds were moving whenever we would lie down onto them and one was even broken. The price was fair, but I wouldn't come back there. Nope.

I stayed overnight for one night and compared to the totally negative reviews I found it to be good, the hotel is really nice though with a somewhat dated but clean style. The room was clean, a great air conditioner and a nice bed. Unbeatable quality price, I really paid little this hotel. Recommended.

Extremely bad and uncomfortable location. No internet connection in the rooms at all. The rooms are old — fashioned and instead of double bed, as it was declared in the desription of the room, we found a twin bed.

But is it really a hotel? Little kids to serve the food, only decent thing about the place; Receptionist staff rude and agitated; Guy who in the restaurant shot Neo-Baroque songs at full volume, between the laughter of the waiters who did nothing to make it stop, indeed, continued increasing the audio. A scene at the edge of fantasy. We avoid the cleaning side, the Termini station is more livable. Never again!

I was 2 weeks ago with my boyfriend, to tell the truth from all the negative reviews we were very but very scared. In fact we really enjoyed it, cozy hotel, clean rooms, nothing broken, shower working with hot and cold water, working TV, clean sheets and very comfortable bed! We also tried the hotel restaurant staff friendly and helpful, the food was good! Although the hotel is a bit far from the center of Rome we nn had no problems because we moved with the car so Ke say we will be back quietly!

Let me start by saying the pictures are NOTHING like the hotel. The hotel is a dead trap. How does this nightmare of a place has a 4 starts amazes me. There is no way to get here by bus. They tell you there is but forget to tell mention it only runs every half hour and stops before midnight. Also the bus stop is nowhere near the entrance. To get to the hotel one needs to walk up a hill, which it's pitch black at night and has a garage next door with a dog that will scare the life out of you when walking at night. The Wi-Fi is a first come, first served basis. So if you are not up early enough to get one of the spots available you will be without internet until the next day. The place looks like it hasn't been updated since the 50's. Shuttle bus runs whenever and it's driven by a very rude fat man. When you complain to staff, suddenly none of them understand English. The shower curtain on the room I stayed at was torn. The breakfast is of a hostel level. Conclusion: This is by far the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at.

Hotel in general was good. Dinner special where adults get a discount but kids pay full price is deceptive at best. Only compounded by staff who can't clearly explain simple things and the fact that they charge 75 aed for a dinner spread that was primarily dried out roast beef. Biryani rice, and sauteed vegetables only made the idea worse. The free breakfast was loads better.

A very great and interesting city but with lot of trffic. Still worthwile seeing.

The hotel is located a little in the suburbs, the rooms are equipped with TV and a free smartphone with calls and connection usable during the stay (useful for calls but completely unusable for any other operation, given the slowness of the device). The cleanliness of the room and the replacement of the towels takes place punctually. Very rich the breakfast buffet.

Dirty, lousy attention, of the 10 bears that offer the menu are 2 and is expensive for the dishes it gives. And it's a lie that everything is close there are places that is impossible to park if you go with the family gets complicated.

Hotel with Adventures. We lived there three-I, the wife and the son. The hotel is certainly not 4 star… Old shabby, wallpaper are torn inside the rooms, more precisely patches made from a piece of wallpaper at the view level and it is not in the same room. Because first we were upgraded to a room next to the elevator. The castle is torn out with a root, noise isolation-0. Everyone who came and did not go for breakfast put and noise in our ear. The next day, went to meet, moved… In the room where the temperature at night fell to 15-17 degrees (March). Blankets woolen only two in a triple room. All researchers, sick, rest is spoiled. Breakfast without vegetables at all, all days and only omelette and bacon + sweets + parashkovyj coffee, no change in assortment.

Very very poor value for money. Figure how 4 stars but does not arrive at 3.
In addition they usually reserve it to schools so that the nights are a pure battle until the many in the morning. Bad breakfast and overall all the service. Little to say anything advisable.

I'm still looking for the reasons for those 4 stars… There is no cafeteria or restaurant near the hotel, breakfast is bad (they always put the same, there is little choice and above all there is no quality in the food), the rooms are not at all like the pictures we can see on their website. The quality of the furniture in some room is really bad and there are even cisterns in some bathroom that are spoiled. As for the staff, when I was locked in the elevator once I did not make much case, and when they called some of my traveling companions for a problem in the bathroom someone at the front desk told them that a plumber would go in 5 minutes, but he never showed up. Besides, we had a hard time getting bail back without doing anything.
I have to say in favor, that the rooms were clean and collected whenever I arrived at the hotel at night, for that part I have no complaint.

I have to be honest, I have not been very satisfied with the hotel! In two rooms in bed broke risking to create problems to 2 girls, after being warned the attendants were limited to "patch" the damage, of course it was totally unnecessary and the girls slept in the beds of their girlfriends. Since the hotel is not really cheap, I expected better treatment! Not to mention the prices from theft in the bar inside: a shot of liquor bayles 7 euros… mah! I was not happy with the services, the 2 stars I gave are a gift!

Very nice hotel, the meal was very good and the quality of the service was at the rendezvous. We loved.

This experience was horrible. Because this hotel at IInizio seems pleasant then enter the rooms and find cockroaches, water that does not work, doors that do not open, weave smagnetizzate, lights that do not go out, French routes, dirty beds, dirty water, also we have not found Only cockroaches in the room, but we found them also in the kitchen, also disgusting and with a poor service… we were 77 guys all unhappy… so we changed hotel because it is not at all welcoming. There was a possibility of putting 0 stars I would put it.

On behalf of my higher education institution the hotel is shabby; We stayed in dirty rooms and they were not cleaned.
We found cockroaches both in the rooms and in the restaurant; The water in some rooms only came out cold, some of our beds were splitting and the balcony doors did not close.
The food was not good and in the morning there was virtually no choice.
Hair and fur in absurd amounts in the sheets and for the room not to mention the stains and Deturpanze.
The agency with here we were traveling made us change the hotel to the multitude of problems encountered.

Hotel very nice balcony view of the city by far by car private parking, cons for a weekend without car too far from the city center by Transport 3 buses to Pietrala, 2 shuttles in the day and the subway 30 minutes walk small pool clean, the rooms are large and clean, the restaurant is great and the products are fresh.

Mouldy wallpaper, cold, shower with boiling water or cold in shifts of 5 seconds, cleanliness that leaves to be desired. Vans police and Carabinieri parked every time I came. The road to get there is in the midst of desolation, to the work in perpetual course, to the garbage. Quality Hotel. Staff very friendly or very rude in turn.

Horrible room. Cold air was coming through the windows closed, there was a frame hanging from the wall and there was a kind of door where all the wires and counters were full of dust and stones (photos). Several outlets did not work and the intimate towels were the same as they used as napkins in the restaurant. Free buffet only in breakfast with little variety and the midday/night menu always pasta with some bad Prefrozen second course. Total. If we are going to compare it with a hotel "4 stars" of Spain. They don't even reach the first star. Hidden in the middle of nowhere, so much so that the taxi driver takes 40 min. To find it (being by the area). Etc etc…

Everything very good only the location leaves to be desired.

Three star Hotel according to my opinion… very convenient, breakfast and dinner plentiful, good food, excellent daily housekeeping and friendly staff! C is only to be put to new the building since it is dated! It is located far from the attractions of Rome but there is a shuttle service that takes you directly to the Metro! Satisfied with the stay!

I went for a professional event. Very quiet atmosphere, free parking available outside. Location is not convenient if you are a tourist coming to visit Rome, but for meetings and job related events is fine.

Staff very friendly and helpful, were two hours earlier there, they let us have our room, no problem at all. Wi-Fi rather poor and breakfast below average. Rooms were clean, but the safety deposit box was too small to fit iPad, Laptop etc. The beds were comfortable but the „king sized bed“ consisted out of 2 single beds pushed together. This wasn’t a major issue though, and for a busy sightseeing day in rome this hotel is definitely to be recommended!

If I could give this hotel 0 stars, trust me I would. Worse "hotel" I've ever stayed at. Older man at the front desk was extremely rude and threw our papers at us when he got upset with us for being the "first" ones to ever complain. The pictures are not what it actually looks like. Please save yourself the money and look else where. Hotel is used for police training, cops and huge guns everywhere. We had to cancel our 3 night reservation because we couldn't stand being there and the rooms were so tiny. Please just look at a different hotel.

Dated hotel, great for family budget stays in the very expensive Rome. Free breakfast. Free parking. Free shuttle service to and from next Metro Station. Italian language skills are a clear advantage talking to the friendly staff. Restaurant provides medium quality food and service. Teenage staff is overloaded with basic tasks.

It is basic but clean and dignified. Maybe today is more a 3 star hotel than 4…

This place is not worth the money you pay for it! A few friends and I booked a 3 night stay here it was so appalling we could only stay one night and that's only as they left us with no other choice. The pictures of the place does not look anything like the room you get it is completely different. We had 4 people they gave us a camping bed with one of the lats broken. When we went down and asked for a new one it was like the end of the world the staff were so rude. The sheets were all stained and had hairs on them so we asked for clean sheets the new ones still were not clean. We all came out of there covered in bites. This place is just generally appalling. It is most defiantly not a 4 star hotel.

Nice room, good breakfast! Nice pool. Location Just a little far from downtown! But there is free shuttle from the hotel to the metro station!

Nice hotel, however attention the pictures of the pool and the restaurant room do not really match. Very quiet area but with fine tunes of the world. However a shuttle is available to get to the nearest Metro station (Pietralata). Plan to bank card currency not accepted at bars. Same with the subway. Friendly staff with some French knowledge.

Great rooms, definitely run down. Staff Cleanliness: good, but they use tons of sickening perfume… Comfortable beds, but hard pillows… Breakfast: There is everything but poor quality. It would need a lot of maintenance and a bit of taste in the furnishings. The rooms have a balcony, but it's not furnished… not even a chair. On the balcony of my room there are two outdoor facilities for the air conditioning. Who expects a 4 star is disappointed!

Staff was very helpful and courteous. We enjoyed the pool. I liked that you can order from the restaurant and eat in your room (prices were reasonable). Rooms were not that clean and beds not that comfortable. TV had major ussues.

I liked this hotel because the rooms were comfortable enough there were very well equipped areas the elevators very spacious but to give us the room key we waited a while but then it was worth the just tip the food was very varied because you could Choose what to take let's say if you did not like the pasta with gravy you could ask for the blank and were always willing to do it. So it's a good hotel.

Nice Hotel though a little isolated. Pool never too crowded. Good Wifi that takes well in the whole structure. Very friendly staff Not worth the 5 stars just because to be a 4 star hotel The rooms I found a little small.

Friendly staff and a free shuttle to Pietralata subway. I enjoyed my stay and so did the kids. Staff was very informative regarding ways to get to different attractions. Breakfast was top notch and my kids loved the pool.

Far from city. Bad cleaning in bathroom, reckless in bedroom With strong perfume that was impossible to sleep in the room. We had The balcony door Open all night With no approvment. Bad breakfast. Omelett was done on eggpowder and no vegetables served at all. Reception staff friendly.

4 stars… it's a joke! Photos of the hotel do not really correspond to the reality. Very old room, when it activates the shower faucet he flees, and difficult to wash with a leader of water only, Bay window to the balcony which does not really close… However linen clean and breakfast good!

S@ hotel do not stay. In rough part of Rome. Pictures make it look good but is not believe me. Also very hard to find even with Google maps. Checked in and one hour later checked out. Would give 0 stars if could.

A few hundred metres underground. Good value for money. Definitely not a "thousand and one nights", but very good for a weekend in Rome.

Incredible hotel on the outskirts of Rome. They had a great deal with us that we were going on a study tour group. No criticism of importance.

The but experience in a hotel we have never gone. We changed to this hotel at the last moment and we do not complain because he was a star more… But it seems that the stars that have not are minimally well-deserved. Room dirty and disheveled, with a balcony that is falling apart, room service dining regular, the service surly and unfriendly.

Dirty. Stinks and no Wi-Fi. Never again. Rooms tiny and different from the photos. No refund for early departure. Absolutely not recommended.

Away from the center. The restored very basics.

The staff were absolutely lovely as soon as we started chatting to them, the room was clean enough and the shower worked well. The buses were regular (every twenty minutes) but seems to stop running between 12 and 1? (can't be sure but it was the only time we had a wait longer than twenty minutes). We were only there three days but didn't regret a second of it. Breakfast rolls were lovely as well! Not massively luxurious but definitely a great cheap place to stay :).

We booked this hotel as a quick stop-over only, just for a few hours' rest before heading to the airport first thing in the morning. Our needs were simple and our expectations were not high. We arrived just in time for dinner and were delighted to find there was a restaurant on-site. The only choice was a buffet, but the variety looked good. And then we tasted it. It was awful, cold, nasty food. Retiring to the room, we found that the door wouldn't bolt shut and the balcony didn't lock at all. Once or twice during the night, we could hear people trying the key card on our door. So we slept with one eye open. The bathroom door squeaked loudly enough to wake the dead. The shower was moldy, the sheets and pillows were stained. The light fixtures were broken, the light switches had no switch plates, the curtains didn't close all the way. Showering was a challenge. The fixture that held the hose-style shower faucet was angled such that the water hit the back wall of the shower and nothing else. So you had to hold the faucet with one hand and bathe with the other, all the while trying to avoid the mold. Then you had to do the temperature dance: The water went from lukewarm to scalding for a few seconds, then to lukewarm for a few seconds, then back to scalding for a few seconds, then back to lukewarm. You get the idea. The hotel claims to have four stars, but we really don't see how they achieved that.

We booked 4 nights at Quality Hotel Rouge et Noir through Expedia Secret Saver deal and it was definietely the biggest mistake we could make. I don't usually trust reviews very much, but this time I have to agree with most of the bad reviews. First of all, this is by no means a 4-star hotel it claims to be. I don't know much about the hotels classification in Italy, but I suspect this may have something to do with the Rome city tax, which increases with the standard of the hotel. This hotel is 2-stars at most, although we stayed in 2-star hotels in the past that were much higher quality. The hotel has a fairly remote location, but we didn't mind walking to the nearest metro station (about 15 minutes away), so it wasn't an issue. The hotel runs a shuttle to the station, but this service is very limited and the times were rather inconvenient for us. Nice and modern reception area and decent sized rooms make a good first impression. However, at the closer inspection one can notice awful stains on the corridor carpet, soap scum on the shower fittings and other flaws. I also found long black hairs on the desk. They say they have toiletries in rooms, but all we were given were two tiny soaps and two 5ml sachets of shampoo, which were apparently meant to last us for 4 days, as they were never replaced. The room was not cleaned for our entire stay, the beds not made up.

A hotel that may have great potential, get lost in the small details.

Air conditioning is conspicuous by its absence. Away from it all, the Wi-Fi friendly 15 euros or so 24 hours. Breakfast at school.

Very bad choice of location if you wish to visit Rome. We stayed one night in this hotel and left immediately the next morning. Our complaints: staff did not speak any english; extremely noisy, no free Wi-Fi; bath room definitely needs renovation. Very very poor in total. Overdue breakfast stuff. Stay away here.

We stayed in September 2011, after reading all the reviews I was worried, but the room was clean and nice, staff were good and the quality of the hotel was nice. Just dont eat in the resturant, the food and service is very poor. You will need a taxi or bus to get into Rome centre. But overall a good hotel.
