Youth Station Hostel Hostel

A bit hard to find initially since the outside sinsge is real small. But you go down what seems to be a driveway and there's the hostel! For the price it'll do, just be prepared for a lot of walking since it's about 40 minutes to an hour walk from the main attractions. Great groccery market down the block too. It's a small hostel but the enduite bathrooms do help a bit. Just one story.

Avoid this place at any price! It is a Roman Temple of dirt and ugliness. This is the worst hostel, which I've visited in my entire life. This is honest feedback, I was counting the days till I finally can leave this spot. Pros: + metro station in 3 minutes walk, + groceries around the corner, + no city tax need to be paid Contras: — rooms are extremely dark and damp, you can forget, that your clothes or towel will get dry during the night; — from the very entry there's bad smell in all of the rooms — this place is literally a hovel, there is no spark of natural light, you are unable to open the windows to get some fresh air. You don't want to spend there any time. — the bathroom has also no windows and very bad ventilation, bad smell there is constant — kitchen is extremely dirty and plenty of basic stuff (just few cups, literally 3 plates! ) is missing or broken, every single item must be hand-washed before use (even if they suppose to be fresh and clean in cupboard), fridge is the most unhygienic item, that I've seen in my life, smells very bad and is full of mold, the same with microwave, cattle and anything else, which you mind find in the kitchen — service speaks quite bad English and is not really able to help, for instance they send you to a restaurant around the corner to get the bottle opener (an item which can be purchased for 1€! )

Rude staff at Reception. We booked this hostel in June 2018 when the weather easily reaches 32 degree celsius. Still, this temperature is “not hot” according to them
We especially booked the hostel considering the fact that they have AC (Air Conditioner). But they did not turn the AC on, as according to them, this weather is not hot. Wow. To add to that, the person sitting at reception said that the AC is broken and not working, whereas when we talked to the owner over phone — he clearly said that they have intentionally not turned tge AC on because “according to them” the weather is not hot. This apparently clever behaviour of the receptionist is very bad. All they want is their money, they won’t give any invoice, and they won’t turn on the AC. Avoid this hostel.

I've been there for 3 nights and it was a lovely experience. I've met a lot of people in the common room and there is a kitchen where we were used to prepare our dinner and eat all together. There is also a supermarket just next to the hostel. The room was clean and the staff were very helpful too. I had a great time. Thank you guys :)

Nice, clean, friendly. Not 5 stars because they pretended it to be able to accept card payment (even simple debit card), but after insisting they actually did and the transaction went through perfectly.

There were two upsides to this hostal: As there was not a 24 hour receptionist, when I was locked out of my room at 2 am, due to accidentally demagnetizing my key card by leaving it too close to my phone, all I had to due was text the friendly receptionist, Daniel, and he was there in 15 minutes to let me in. There is also a 3€ service that allows you to keep your luggage in a locked storage after you check out in case you don’t need to leave the city until later in the afternoon as check out is 10:00 am. (Not the cleanliest storage though) Aside from those the room “Europa” has six beds accompanied with six lockers. (Make sure to have your own padlock, sized medium to large) the room was covered in mold and the bathroom was also covered in mold, which left a rancid smell. The room was very humid, as college students we were working on homework and the paper actually became dampened from being exposed to the elements of the room. The glass sliding door for the shower was also broken allowing water to cover the bathroom floor and the sink tap had little to no pressure. The Wi-Fi seemed to work well the first night, but after that you couldn’t even send a Snapchat on there Wi-Fi. The lobby contained one three seater sofa an uncomfortable single chair and a large picón styled table. The lobby also acted as the kitchen with a fridge/freezer, minimal pots and pans, a microwave and a plug-in stove top, thus lacking an oven. There was also a coffee vending machine.

It's an hostel, not amazing but economic. The rooms are clean but the bathrooms are very small (and without bidet). The personnel was very kind and helpful.

Good to stay when you make a quick visit into the city. 1 or 2 nights. Well located. Close to Roma Tiburtina Station. Metro B line. Bologna Station. Cheap. Shared rooms. Not too busy. Lockers inside rooms.

The only good thing is that you can smoke in the rooms although they say no.

The hostel was fine. The room was a 6 person room, and there was just one bathroom with a shower inside the room, which made a lot of noise. The room was a bit cold too. The workers were not that nice. When we arrived we had to wait for 10-15 minutes before someone came to do the check in. One night, at 1 o'clock in the morning, one of the staff came in the room, switched on the lights when we were sleeping and did something in the room (I don't know what it was). As I said, it's a simple hostel that for the price you pay is great, very well located, next to the Bologna metro station.

Beds were squeaky but I had an amazing stay, great bathrooms. Stayed with great people.

Rooms are decent, Wi-Fi works well. However, they like to try and charge you for every little thing like towels or leaving your luggage for a few hours.

The entrance to the hostel is down a dark alley, so to start it already gives a sketchy feel. The man checking in doesn't help with the sketchy feel either. When we checked in he claimed we had to pay in cash. We asked about paying by credit card and he asked why not cash and told us to leave our bags and go to the ATM down the road. After insisting we would rather pay by card he finally allowed us to do so. Another person said they had cash and when they paid he just pocketed the money. The check in man had his son there also and after he showed us to our room and our beds (at 22:30, which seemed late to be walking into rooms) he came in later to have his child go to sleep in one of the beds. The air conditioning does not work and after sweating through one night we were given a fan that was well used. The Wi-Fi is extremely slow. The common room, which is right by the front desk, was also very dimly lit and we were told to keep quiet so he could make a personal phone call. Possibly the worst hostel experience we experienced.

Cheap, 2 min from metro stop, nice and clean. There is Wi-Fi free. Plug next to every bed. Everyone has his own locker. Shower is great, but connected to WC, so everyone need to wait for each. Toilets are in every room with shower (inside of room). Towel cost 3€. There is kitchen to use, and 5 min store from hostel. It is also 20 min by walk to centre, so we did not use subway.

I spent 3 nights from 31 december 2016 to 2 January 2017. Everthing was good, Wi-Fi worked properly, I could use the kitchen, the bed was good. And the service of Bangladesh and the receptionists were great. The price is also affordable. For me, this hostel is recommended.

The room was OK, but the beds were very noisy. Sanitary facilities a bit run down. The location is very good, there is a supermarket, a bank and the Bologna Metro station very close by.

Just a nice place. Friendly, and cool people to meet. Wifi ok.

They don't even deserve 1 star, I was there with my class, and the girls were in a room and while we we're showering the man alks in and torns the light down and screams 'bed' and we say 'Wi-Fi' and he says we cannot go to the common room and use the Wi-Fi we are paying for! My friend had just come out of the shower and he alked in and then my teacher ask to talk to him and I don't know all of the conversation but I know my teacher told him to knock on the door and wait for someone to open it! The next day he walked in the boys room and surprise my teacher was there and they had a 'talk' more like my teacher screaming at him and the man just made excuses saying he waited out side! Just want to say the this is the worst fudging hostel ever! I never felt so disrespectful in my life!

The pictures look nicer than the truth. The hostel is not so central, but has direct access to the Bologna Metro station, which makes it possible to reach anything. The kitchenette does not have a hotplate, so you can only make food warm. The rooms were very spartan, stop with three bunk beds, without air conditioning. The bathroom stinks because the ventilation was very bad and when you have the bed next to the toilet (as in my case), you get every visit to his roommates. There were large lockers in the rooms, which did not really look reliable, moreover you should leave the room card with the locker key at the reception when you left the hostel. If you check out but still want to keep luggage, it costs an additional €2/person for the day. The staff was not so really friendly (there were exceptions) and was zt of the English language not powerful. €25 the night is not worth it…

The pictures do look better than the truth. The hostel is not so central but has the Metro stop Bologna very close so that you can reach everything. The so-called kitchenette has no cooktop, thus you can just warm-up ready meals. The rooms look very spartan with three bunk beds and without air conditioning. The bathroom is within the room but stinks very much and if you are lucky like me and you have the bed next to it you can hear every visit of the other guests in your room.
