Me and my partner have just got back from out stay there. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, I was very pleased with our room too as it had a ancient feel to it that you would expect when visiting Rome, it carried the theme. There was a good selection at breakfast and the view from the terrace was amazing. Would most definitely stay here again.

The room is quite small but nice. The Wifi works well. The breakfast is good and the location for breakfast is on the roof and has a nice view. The location of the hotel is close to the city center and everything you would want to see/do here in Rome. The elevators can get quite packed but the stairs are fun to take. There is only 7 floors so it won't take forever to get to the top if you forgot something in your room.

A rate too high for a room to say 4 * which is as big as a broom closet and a seen on a very dirty inner courtyard with visible multitakes that makes… construction and non-standing of 4 *… no water bottle offered in the room… which is a minimum when it comes to luxury accommodation… have a palace that the name…

A very classic hotel, excellent treatment and the right buffet breakfast. The staff is very helpful and the rooms are clean. It is 1, 5 km from the most famous monuments in the center and about 2, 5 from the Colosseum, we love stroll and walk everywhere so it does not imply any problem, has a small supermarket to two hundred meters and several shopping and local centers for Shopping and eating in the vicinity.

So far MUCH better than the Grand Hotel Palace. Only down side I see so far is there are no English TV channels. Wi fi here is better but still not great. 4 stars for decor and romantic ambiance.

Hearty breakfast, classic continental with a view of Rome on the 7th floor. Good location, 10 min from the Metro and in front of a bus stop. 15 min walk to Trevi.
However, disappointment regarding the "Deluxe" room and the "SPA" without Jacuzzi or pool. There is only a tiny sauna 2 people and Hammam of the same size, as well as a cold water room, and a classic shower cubicle in the dressing room. It is hard to believe that this spa was rated one of the best in 2016 as posted at the front desk.
In total, correct benefits but certainly do not deserve the misleading name "Palace". At most a good 3 star French.

Second visit. Highly recommend. Excellent value for money. Staff v polite and friendly. Cleanliness v high. Breakfast on 7th floor overlooking Rome is breathtaking. Just love this place.

Our room was very pleasant and lovingly furnished. The restaurant on the seventh floor with wonderful views of the whole of Rome was beautifully located.
The kitchen unfortunately unpalatable, Werder the morning — still the dinner begged something we could boast.
Breakfast does not even offer a good/proper Italian coffee.
In our bathroom the cleanliness impression was not optimal.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The spa area in the basement was nicely decorated but still offers many possibilities for optimization.
The hotel is well tapped the bus stop 100 meters away and the taxis lead to and from the hotel for little money.

The Romanesque palace is located in an elegant and well-served area of Rome. My room was clean and equipped with all the amenities, even a bottle of sparkling wine offer. Recommended.

A hotel in a quiet place, good service and clean, we have only had breakfast and has variety, as for the other meals not the probe, this something separate from the things to look at, but there is a subway line to a 1 km or so.

The first time to live in 135, the bathtub drainage is broken, can not drain. The closet door fell. Request a change of room, then transfer to another room. This is a smaller room, and there is no bathtub. Photos of the site are very good, but the actual room is full of dust. Water cups are not used, too dirty! The inner bottom of the cup is dirt visible to the naked eye … Dust everywhere, no more coming … Water stains near the rain …

Thank you for making our Rome stay just perfect. Lovely clean and comfortable room. A n hotel team that couldn’t do enough for us. We had both a lunch and dinner in the hotel additional to the excellent breakfast. The meals were yummy and the setting for these meals Wow. A view of Rome all around. We would definitely stay here again.

The room 442 with a lot of noise and smells… buff. A little bad. If they give it to you, change it.
Friendly service in cafeteria but others find it hard to smile like the Romans in general. They look angry.

The hotel is far from the centre. Staff right Although it seems obvious they don't treat all tourists the same. The Spaniards do not seem to be the preferred ones. We requested a quiet room and got an inside, dark, facing the area where the air conditioners were in the rooms and smelt bad though ventilaramos. Breakfast with little variety, same every day and average quality. I don't think we would repeat this hotel in Rome.

Rooms and services are super good, breakfast was perfect, except the natural juices… All of them where with a lot of sugar! like a carton juice, nothing natural, the restaurant at the evening was ok, nothing special. But the SPA was only a sauna, the showers was broken and the steam sauna smell super weird. I can say is the best hotel of 3 stars, but not really at 4 stars.

Lovely hotel, ideal location for all the sites, rooms clean and well serviced, staff excellent, polite, efficient, nothing was too much trouble and always willing to help, breakfast excellent choice of cold meats and cereals, the roof top restaurants worth the money on its own for the views let alone the food, nice concise menu with limited choice but the quality of food was first class, and don't be put off by the web advert where it states that you can have a special evening starting at e125, this is a special dining experience and not the normal lunch and evening menu which is very reasonably priced. If we were going back to Rome, no question this is where we would be staying excellent value for money. Looking forward to the next time.

The concierge worked with me to get my wedding ring I left behind in the bathroom which was an amazing customer service experience. Restaurant at the top level had excellent service and the food was good as well. We didn't spend much time in the room but it did it's purpose. Notably, the bed was comfortable which is super important after walking all around Rome.

Absolutely amazing. Highly recommend it. Staff was great, housekeeping did an amazing job. Every body was so friendly, courteous and professional. Beautiful hotel, great location. My teen daughter asked if con please stay here again next time we are in Rome. Absolutely, I said.

We spent four days in Rome really unforgettable and this hotel greatly contributed to the success of the stay. Nice hotel, great staff, attentive. We stayed at the hotel on New Year's Day great atmosphere and the staff joined the guests to move on to the next year. We will not forget the stay at this property.

Tip: Invest surely in the programming of the elevators with the New York method, the call is slow and surpassed.

Nice place of the single room in the Spirit of Rome, Lunch is a will buffet at the 7th floor (covered terrace) with view of Rome at the lunch of the restaurants around the hotel and a reception at our services.

A hotel with the classic Italian touch, for nothing modern, everything looks like scenery of a movie, comfortable rooms but no luxury at all, good breakfast with a beautiful view of Rome.

Thank you Romanico for a lovely stay, was perfect for what we wanted. I would however suggest bigger mugs at breakfast as us English love our Teas and it was one sip and the tea was gone so we kept having to go back to fill up the mug rather than sitting having an enjoyable cup of tea in the morning (especially as the tea selection at breakfast was AMAZING). Nevertheless, the service was excellent and the room was very quaint, although a bit tired (I think the hook in our room was broken) but I loved it anyway. Location was terrific and you can walk to all the sites so easily (even the colosseum). Thank you so much for a lovely weekend!

My wife and I stayed at Hotal Romanico for a couple night prior to our Mediterranean cruise. The hotel was in a great location and very close to all attractions. The rooms were beautiful and everything was very clean. The staff was helpful and willing to give suggestions on restaurants to go eat at, even though the hotel had its own delicious restaurant. I would stay here again.

The hotel staff is multi-lingual, very polite and accommodating! The rooms aren't bad at all, nor is the location. Recommended.

Room was clean, hosts were nice. Not a new hotel, but in city center. They did not let us check in early but gave recommendations on nearby tourist sites to visit while waiting.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast choice was good and good value for money. Rooms were quirky and different, but very nice. The bed was comfortable. Air conditioning was more than adequate even during the latest heat wave. Unfortunately drinks at the hotel bar were expensive.

The staff were pleasant however our toilet didn't work properly, nor did our shower which we reported twice. It It was not very clean, Soap the size of a large postage stamp (so bring your own). NO english TV channels, poor restaurant service, spa is a joke! Hallway carpets looked old and dirty. Nice roof top breakfast area. The rooms (we saw 5) all looked very old, tired and needing decorating however maybe that was the impression they were trying to give. Its very much a brief tour stopover place and NOT a boutique hotel.

Hotel located in a great location well connected in a stately neighborhood! Structure a little dated and style far too classic in my opinion! For the rest structure level with professional staff.

The hotel is very stylish. The rooms are small with limited space for luggage (we had 2 pieces but storage for only 1). The king size bed was firm but comfortable. There are 2 lifts servicing 7 floors that are small and quite slow. We were part of a tour group (1 of 3 groups staying at the hotel) and at breakfast time the dinning room could not seat everyone. The front desk staff were courteous and helpful.

Very cozy and particular, the view on the terrace at breakfast is gorgeous, the staff are nice and helpful. 7 min from Metro on foot. 4 Stars for a 4 * hotel.

Traditional Hotel in the area of Via Veneto. Convenient to reach even on foot from Termini or from the Metro Barberini.
The rooms are lavishly decorated and are large enough for the capital. Service in line with the expectations of a four star level.
Special note for breakfast that can be consumed on the terrace in the restaurant (open in the evening for dinner).
Great view and good variety/quality of food proposals.
A good alternative for those who have to go to that area for business or leisure.

Reasonable room, poor outlook. Helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment with lack of plates and cups, lukwarm coffee and food options that had run out and not replaced.

Excellent Hotel. Very friendly staff, knowledgable and courteous. Rooms are well designed, great bathrooms. And the BEST breakfast in Roma on the 7th floor. Slept like a baby there. Best sleep in years. We were there over Christmas and New Years. It is close to the Spanish Steps, to the zoo and Borghese Museo, not far from the Ferrari/ Maserati shop, just dow the street outside the wall. The staff even apologized for the taxi from the airport overcharging us, even though they had nothing to do with it! My family loved it and look forward to going back to Romanico Palace. Grazie Romanico!

It is located at a decent location, with some restaurants and 1 or 2 supermarkets nearby. Getting to your room can be challenging, as two buildings have been somehow connected (practically all the buildings in Rome are hundreds of years old, as I am told). To get to my room, I had to go up a floor from the lobby (I usually use the stairs because the elevator takes awhile to get there), walk through a tight labyrinth of rooms to find another elevator, wait for quite a bit (there didn't seem to be any accessible staircases here, just what appeared to be a one way emergency exit), and then go up another floor (this elevator only goes up one floor) to finally make it to my room. They say that room sizes here vary, some are smaller than others. There is a fridge, a TV, a desk, and a safe. The bathroom has a tub with some (fiber? ) glass covering roughly a third of the tub to keep the water from spilling over to the floor (other rooms have actual showers instead, and some others have tubs with no glass at all). The bed is comfortable with a good mattress and nice pillows. There is a thermostat to adjust the temperature to your liking. There are drinks in the fridge, but it will cost you. There are about one or two English channels on the TV as far as I could tell. The area for your breakfast is found on the 7th floor (you must use the other elevator which connects you to the lobby to get there). The view up there is nice (a glimpse of the surrounding city).

Booked through Secret Escapes, very nice room, excellent location (only a eight minute walk to the Spanish Steps) friendly staff members (french-english). Only the follow-up on reported (minor) problems could do a lot better.

A nice hotel, comfortable room, photos are professional, they are not equal to that one up. The first class attention, very friendly and correct recommend you good restaurants and as move in the city, the Wi-Fi is very good, it is important if you take many photos in the city. The breakfast could improve the coffee and milk too watery, ask a good coffee that will give it you, the fruits are Tin does not have many and station, apart from this, it is advisable.

About a 5 minute walk from the nearest metro and the rooms were clean and big :)

Very cliché but perfect for a long weekend in Rome. The room was nice, clean, the bathroom with tub but wasn't quite. However the view from the room was so-so on the contrary of the room on the 7th floor for breakfast, which has a wonderful view of the city. Very well located. The friendly staff.

5 days we stayed at the hotel, we had read reviews on Tripadvisor that warned us of what could happen when we arrived. Upon arrival we changed Hotel because they had a "problem" with the pipe of the room (thank goodness, who knew that could happen to us because but get a dislike nothing more start your journey). They got us a taxi and took us to a hotel of the same category. The next morning we relocated a taxi and back we had reserved for that. Room very small and very very warm, carpeted and with excessive décor. The breakfast perfect, it served in the roof where you see Rome. It is located in a quiet area where you can walk to almost everything with a little walk. The surprise was at the exit of the hotel, we had paid the stay from Spain and they told us that it had retained and would be us money when we went back to Spain. We had to pay again the stay and arrival in Spain took 10 days to return the money.

The room touting in booking they are not real, are located in an old building next door. Clean rooms, clean beds, good breakfast. Bad Internet. Very good location.

This hotel is beautiful and truly romantic! The breakfast is great and small wellness area of the hotel is a little gem, reminiscent of an ancient Roman thermal bath.
Definitely will return to the Romanico Palace in my future trips to Rome.

Small room without table and Chair, bed very shortly. Window on narrow atrium with many air conditioners — loud and bad air. There is also the gilded Decoration useless. Gym muffigem basement and only from 8-20 h open — for business travellers during working hours. Breakfast nice roof terrace, but little rich.

I stayed at this hotel with my family last Christmas, and I found it to be an excellent hotel in an great location. The rooms were big and spacious, the breakfast at the rooftop terrace was a very nice surprise. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome. The staff were helpful and the we had all the utilities we required. I would definitely visit again in the future.

Just returned from our first stay in Rome (6th to 9th April 2009) and really cannot fault the Hotel Romanico Palace, nor its staff. The receptionist when we arrived had excellent English and couldn't have been more welcoming, pointing out where the hotel was in relation to sites like the Spanish Steps and the nearest Metro station (Barberini). In fact, all of the staff were friendly, and the majority could speak English. If some of their responses seemed a little on the terse side, I put this down to their lack of confidence in using a foreign language, not an unwillingness to help! The room was on the small side, but not at all bad for a city hotel, where hopefully you'll spend most of your time out seeing the sights, not sat in the hotel. Everything in the room worked properly and was in good condition. The decor was well-maintained even if it was a bit 'baroque' for our tastes. There were only 2 English Language TV channels, but that is about par for the course, and watching Dr No dubbed into Italian was even a highlight! Perhaps the biggest suprise is that the hotel only seems to make use of the roof top terrace for serving breakfast. Although the 7th floor wasn't quite high enough to get spectacular views across Rome, you could at least pick out a number of key sites from there! The hotel is on a quite busy road, which our room looked on to, so there was quite a bit of traffic noise early in the morning, but again to be expected in a city hotel.
