The hotel is in very poor condition. Stay away. Hotel provided pictures are not representative. Please see the pictures I have uploaded. Beds are mattresses on metal frames. (see pic) You can feel the springs. One of the kids beds had an outlet over the pillow where the lamp was plugged. (see pic) The ceiling is cracked and has severely chipping paint — as if it will drop on you. (see pics) The alley past the green double doors leading to the hotel had open trash bags pouring on the floor and open wires coming from walls. (see pic) The hotel lobby consists only of a desk, a love seat and a combination mini-fridge/vending machine. The complaints about the smell are true. Our room had an intense smell. The staff told us it was perfumes and also cleaning solution. Our daughter, who hasn't had trouble in years, had an intense asthmatic reaction to it, she turned red, could not breathe and was shaking. We asked for another room, when there was none, the clerk actually said "You will love the perfumes, everyone does" We were forced to leave. Despite appeals by us and our internationally respected travel agency, they refused to refund any of our money despite the health issues. Do not expect management to work with you to solve any issues you have.
Lovely place right in the middle of Rome. We walked everywhere.
