Review of Hotel Artemide 4*

What a great surprise this hotel turned out to be. Being in central Rome we were not expecting too much from this hotel but we were wrong. When we first arrived the foyer looked great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a room for 3 adults and the room was spacious with a large bathroom. Another surprise was that everything in the room bar was free, snacks and drinks. Even tea, coffee and biscuits were included which we found most hotels around Italy did not provide. The sitting room in the hotel also offered this which was great when returning from a late night out. The Spa special was fantastic. For 15 euro we were given a robe and spa thongs (which we were allowed to keep) and spent about 90 minutes in the spa room. We had it all to ourselves. There was no rush for us to come out. The Turkish showers, spa and sauna was just what we needed after a hot day out walking around Rome. Then ending the session with an exotic tea in the relax room. No other hotel we came across offered all this. We felt very special. My biggest surprise was yet to come. After leaving the hotel I realised, about a few days later, that I had left several items in the hotel room. I didn't worry about it at first as the items were not particularly expensive. But then after about 7 days I realised I had also left an expensive dress that I had worn to a wedding in Italy. I contacted the hotel and gave a description of the items. They said they would follow it up and see if the items were found. They contacted me with the good news that the items had been found and were offering to return them to me FOR FREE using local postal service at what ever address I gave. I was happy with this and gave my Australian address. I was confident that the items would arrive but one can never be sure. Within 3 weeks my belongings had arrived in Australia, nicely wrapped and undamaged. I was so happy and grateful. The hotel staff were very helpful, kind and very professional. I really appreciated their assistance. If you're looking for a great hotel then you cannot go past this one. I highly recommend it and would come here again if I was ever to return to Rome.
