Nice hotel with unique rooms. The building itself is from 14th century and has a lot of character. Rooms were appropriately sized for Rome. Bed comfy. Nice 5th floor rooftop though the view isn’t very impressive. Air conditioning was pretty weak. Biggest drawback was the many mosquitoes inside the hotel. We probably got bit 10 times and stayed only 1 night. Would still recommend for a short stay due to great location to piazza novana/Vatican.

Awesome room at first. But… noisy (the soundproofing with the adjoining rooms is non-existent as the building is very old) and the bedding very uncomfortable! Excellent location! I would recommend if the mattresses change.

Great place. Had a bad experience with another hotel, down the block. Walked in with my daughter in hand gave us a beautiful room. Friendly staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds.

I travel often for work everywhere and especially in Asia with excellent service but I have to say that at Relais Bear they exceeded my expectations. Professional and kind staff, excellent location and very well-groomed rooms. The design in general in all the details is also beautiful.

Very nice and cozy hotel, it has a refined and original design. The location is wonderful, it is very close to Piazza Navona, just a few meters. The staff is always kind and friendly. The terrace with the bar is worth a visit, especially at sunset.

We loved this hotel! Stayed there early June and has such a pleasant time. The hotel is small but perfect for a short stay. The rooftop was open so we had some drinks and chilled out there at the end of the day, it was beautiful. I have already recommend this hotel to all my friends!

The hotel is located in a great location just behind Piazza Navona (1 minute walk) and just minutes from Piazza di Spagna.
Although the price wasn't quite low (350 euros per night) our suite room was taken care of in every detail and had a wonderful jacuzzi hot tub overlooking Rome's old town (magnificent). With a spiral staircase you could also privately access the roof garden and try the excellent drinks prepared by Dario. Exceptional staff and always available, they gave us perfect tips for our Roman weekend. Come back!

What about… Excellent location, one step from all the most important attractions, beautiful structure, cured in detail. Very friendly and helpful staff I will definitely go back for my next stay in Rome!

Wonderful place in the center. We spent 3 nights in May and the weather was very nice. We had the opportunity to enjoy the awesome terrace and had delicious cocktails (I recommend Spritz and Hugo). The room is not very big but has everything you need. I read some comments about the lack of closets but I found hanging space available in the room no problem. The room and the rest of the hotel is meticulously clean and that was the most important thing for us. I would recommend this place.

Pretty nice and particular boutique hotel They assigned us a room with a SPA tub which was really appreciated The staff members was really nice and helpfull, always ready to help us even to book a table in a restaurant. The position is simply perfect, right behind Piazza Navona! so in the Middle of the city center. And at the end, you can enjoy a lovelly view from the roof top which has a bar that serve excelent drinks!

Worst hotel ever. I’ve never seen a room like this. We were supposed to have a « superior room ». Instead, we got a kind of basement room (Frida Kahlo Room). Ground floor, no natural light. We asked the reception to change our room, but no, it was the room we reserved. I will attache some photos, so you can see how bad this room is compared to the photos on their website. No commercial gesture at all. No housekeeping too. You can hear when all the other neighbours come back with such a room. Impossible to sleep well with that noise. So much humidity (normal in a basement room). The staff did not help us at all. I can help you with other options : — 1880 Atypical Rooms — Navona Theatre Hotel — Tree Charme Plenty to suggest from my other stays in Rome, but stay away from this one!

Room ambiance is great but the shower is in a glass box beside the TV infront of the bed. The toilet is separated from. The shower. Beds are not comfortable, back hurts in the morning. Hotel restaurant appears closed all the time. Pros: good room size, nice ambiance and location. Roof top is great.

Very nice Boutique hotel with high level artistic details. Terrific reception and beautiful panoramic terrace. Everything extremely well clean. Room finished with a modern bathroom. I'il be back soon!

Beautiful structure, an excellent compromise between modernity and antiquity. Very welcoming reception and lobby with spaces finished with great attention in detail. My room had a wonderful hot tub and was well equipped with all the amenities. Very pleasant to drink a good glass of wine on the rooftop terrace in total silence and with a magnificent view. I'll be back for sure.

Structure very well kept and cured (very good perfume that you breathe). The receptionist was really very nice, kind and professional. The room was spacious (considering the location and the old building) and had a beautiful bathroom with a large design shower. The overall décor and style very cared for in the details. Magnificent view from the terrace.

We stayed here for a night on our way through Rome to Venice. We received a free upgrade to a suite, which was nice. Location is fantastic if you are looking for restaurants or shops within walking distance. Best of all, the staff here is among the friendliest I've ever experienced. Highly recommended, I would definitely stay here again.

A fun and chic hotel where it feels like a lot of thought went into every detail. The rooms are stylish and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The staff is very professional yet friendly. The rooftop is marvelous. I will definitely be back in May.

I have been 3 nights at this beautiful boutique hotel. I must say that right away you are impressed by the historical beauty of the palace and its wonderful artistic decorations. The room facing the pedestrian street was very well cared for, clean and perfectly soundproof. The ideal location as a starting point to visit the major sites of the historic city.

Located in a quiet street in the centre of Rome (for me one of the most characteristic and typical of the city), a few steps from Piazza Navona. This boutique hotel was a really pleasant surprise.
As soon as we entered we were greeted by a very kind girl who first offered us a great coffee and then accompanied in the room explaining the best restaurants and the most interesting and hidden places of the Eternal City.
The room was perfect, taken care of and design with a nice bathroom. Really nice the panoramic terrace with comfortable armchairs where you can relax at the end of the day.

It was a very nice hotel. Room with a nice view on the typical street of via Dell'orso. Comfortable and spacious bathroom. Original common spaces, it seems to be in a very special and unique place. Beautiful terrace.

Super professional staff, very nice room, and really nice location! It is located on a quiet little street, which is really great for getting some sleep, but don't be fooled into thinking it is out of the way, because it is less than a 10 minute walk to the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, and only a 15 minute walk to Piazza di Spagna. Lots of restaurants nearby, as well. I ended up here on accident, as my initial hotel did not work out, and the staff was incredibly gracious and kind. I thought their customer service was top notch, and the room was very nice, too. Not expensive, either — I booked via Hotels Tonight and would have expected a much higher cost had I found this hotel on my own.

Fantastic Location, superb reception and splendid decoration.
I was pleasantly impressed by this hotel a few meters from Piazza Navona. The rooms are different from each other, I got to see a couple and they are gorgeous, especially the Pascal room where we stayed with the jacuzzi in the bathroom.

Modern room but in an ancient seventeenth century palace, the maximum!

The place is perfect. Small, quiet and clean. The location is excellent and the staff is extremely friendly. It doesn't have many common areas but the ones we saw gave us a warm and cozy vibe. I would recommend it if you are looking for a nice central hotel and attentive customer care.

Excellent location just a few minutes walk from Piazza Navona and the Tiber (well connected to everything). Well laid out and modern room. The bathroom was spacious and with great products. Very nice the Palazzetto beautifully renovated.

A pleasant surprise this boutique hotel is 2 steps from the city's major tourist attractions. The staff made us feel at home from the first moment, the design of the structure really unique and impressive. Our Deluxe Room (the Pascal) had a nice Jacuzzi tub and a nice big shower.
I will gladly return.

This hotel is a gem. Small, perfectly located and unique. There are not many rooms and only 2 common areas but they are cozy and chic. The terrace is a beautiful relaxing spot (it was open when we went there and really enjoyed it). The lobby seems recently renovated and has a cute and cozy corner to hang out. While they don't serve breakfast in the hotel, the management/staff did explain to us that they have been going through some changes and will be restoring the service soon. Will definitely be back.

Original, peculiar and extravagant. An out of the ordinary boutique hotel located in the heart of the Old town.
We stayed in the ' Walt Disney ' room for the price of 245 euros per night, there didn't seem to be much but we were fully satisfied.
All finished and of high design.
The tub in the middle of the room a touch of style. Staff always attentive to our every need, they made us feel with at home. Very pleasant terrace with nice view.
Also good service with the hotel driver to and from the airport.

The hotel staff was wonderful but the rest of the hotel was misrepresented from the websites. The room was very inefficient to use, No elevator made moving luggage very difficult. The room felt cavernous. Overall is overrated for the value. Better hotels nearby same price point. Would not recommend. Never received any correspondence confirming emails of our booking.

A beautiful scenery Contemporary, too dusty and not really clean! Hygiene standards not met! The bathtub in the living room is the example, not functional, because not linked to the evacuation! Insulation non-existent! and to finish off the stay a flooding of the bathroom of the neighbours (from the top) in our bathroom at 2 in the morning!

This hotel could be nice. Location is excelent. However, there is no roof deck access like in the pictures. No bar or seating on roof deck. No bar or restaurant on site. Breakfast is now a voucher for place down the street. Mold is evident in bed rooms and in refridge. Staff admits there is a mold problem. Many ac units not working. Customers are yelling at staff daily. Manager of hotel is realy just incompetent. Some of the staff really tried hard to make the stay ok but it's hard when the manager doesn't care. There is no way this place is 4/5. The good reviews are so obviously fake. The problems with the hotel are obvious from the ripped chairs as you enter. Owners and management do not care about their own hotel. Do yourself a favor and find another place.

— great location, modern design hotel — service and maintenance are horrible — non-existing breakfast service: one day its in your room (but you have only one chair for 2 people), Then its on the roof, and Then it's in the breakfast room. You have to order the day before, but they bring something completely different. One day the only thing we got (for 2 people! ) Is 1 croissant, 1 orange juice and 2 boiled eggs! The fruit, the bread, the yoghurt we ordered, nothing was there — bed lights were not working — the elevator was broken 50% of the times — inexperienced hotel staff — extra small shower, unpractical — too expensive for the quality you get — it has got everything to become a great hotel, but the current management is doing a bad bad job: invest in good staff, and maintenance of the building and maybe we will come back.

Loved the location of the hotel, everything in walking distance! Also great and very friendly staff… the rooms look great but could be more practical… almost no storage for clothes, no place to hang a towel or even put your shower gel at the bathtub. At night very noisy from other guests…
I would advice to the owners to spent themselves a couple of nights in their hotel.

It's definetely not the posh design hotel it pretends to be. The "design" stuff is of poor quality, and much of it is really shabby beyond the "shabby look". The first room we had, had only one very small window, so it was dark and could not be aired. It smelled moldy and the bathroom was full of mold spots. Also, there was a humming sound from the fuse box. The staff couldn't offer another room for the first night. The other room was alright, but small (especially the shower hardly usable for a 192cm/6'3" person), still with mold spots, and noisy with thin walls. Still, the hotel is nicely located, the staff is friendly, and the breakfast is okay. If they weren't boosting expectations with pricing (and with advertising this as a 4* hotel, although not certified), this would be an average hotel.

Clean and modern. Great location. Walking distance to Trevi di Fontana, Vatican, and Parthenon. Also very close to eateries, bus stop, convenience store for snacks and sandwiches and just around the corner from a public water fountain. The staff is amazingly friendly and will help you with any information or need you need. You won't regret staying here.

So central, you can literally walk to all the best sights. Clean and comfortable with good services. But don't get excited about the rooftop garden — it's not there anymore. Should really b taken off the site coz it's one of the reasons we booked.

One of the most romantic boutique hotels we have experienced. Perfectly located in a quite cobble street. 3 minutes from Piazza Navona with stylist stores all around it so it was easy to rest few times a day. Room are very smartly renovated (they say two years ago) give a feeling is even more chic and romantic than photos. Our floor has only two rooms and it was totally quite. Our standard room has very high ceiling, beautiful windows, an amazing shower and a huge Roman bath standing on room corner in front of the window. Breakfast was included and good, Wi-Fi was free and stuff was knowledgeable and helpful. We definitely would stay here again on our next visit.
