Reviews of TH Roma - Carpegna Palace 4*
Every time we go to Rome, we stay at this hotel. There is nothing negative about this place. We loved it and will always stay here. ❤️
All… elegance, professionalism, environment ultraplus for events, overnight stays etc.
Nice secured and peaceful hotel.
Great hotel. It has lovely grounds and is a bit quirky! Very clean.
Good breakfasts. Nice grounds.
This is not a hotel for tourists, the bar was closed from the moment we arrived until the time we left. The rooms were grubby & our toilet bowl was stained brown. The staff were unhelpful & had a “couldn’t care less” attitude. This is NOT 4* standard.
Have had this hotel booked for 2 months and fully paid for.
Arrived in Rome this afternoon to discover they were closed "for renovations". I received no communication about this and no refund. Absolutely appalling service, that we'll now have to try and fight to get a refund with no management to contact.
If you want a perfect venue, perfect food and staff choose The Church Palace Hotel… To Mr. Ferdinando thank you very much and the whole staff for a perfect evening for the celebration of my daughter 18th birthday… From Soriano family thank you — с Julius Soriano и ещё 2.
A little out of the way but still easy to get to the main attractions. Beautiful hotel and grounds and helpful staff.
I've been to The Church Palace for events and birthdays. The experiences were always positive being able to spend in the company of friends pleasant moments.
Having been there several times I noticed a great adaptability from shows to the outdoor disco, to live music to refreshments in the central cloister.
The organization, which has always seemed to me to be very careful and well cared for, deserves a special mention.
Already from how you are welcomed you understand that it will be a good experience. Nice room, good breakfast and service. Unfortunately it was bad weather and we couldn't get a nice ride around the park… but from the window was a soothing view.
The Church Palace is situated outside the main city, a stone's throw away from Cornelia metro station. Whilst the outside and communal areas are to an exceptional standard, the so called "smart room" we stayed in was far from smart. This hotel is extremely secure so if you have driven here you'll have no concerns about your vehicle whilst staying here. There is a security gate at the main entrance. There is a restaurant and a bar however the food menu is limited so you may not find something you like. Breakfast is available until 10am and is a large buffet which was probably one of the best things about our stay. The hotel also offers a shuttle service into the city, and Smart cars and Vespas are available to rent. The staff are friendly enough although they didn't seem particularly happy. Now onto the room, in our case the "smart room". I have to be brutally honest and say that I have stayed in nicer hostels. I accept that the smart room is the budget option however I expect more from a 4 star hotel. The bed was 2 single beds placed together which were very uncomfortable, the pillows were hard and felt cheap, there were dark marks up the wall and the bathroom was something else. The basin was rattling around, there were nasty stains on the floor and not only was the shower falling apart but I couldn't actually fit through the tiny door to get inside, so I had to make do with a wash at the basin!
Was the first stay of a three week Italian stay. It is a little outside of town, train 4 blocks away which gets you everywhere. Elegant and welcoming with nice grounds. We were there for independence or unification day and there was a HUGE party with gladiators, carriage rides and complimentary food and beverages for hotel guests and about 1, 000 guests. Quite the welcome. And the rooms were air conditioned. Would definitely stay again.
The Service: All the staffs are super friendly and helpful. Especially at the concierge, they give us great idea for sightseeing. Show us all the tourist attraction places on the map. They remembers our names. Feel like VIP guests. The Room: Newly remodeled. Good size room compared to other hotels in Rome. FREE Wi-Fi, love it! It is absolutely a gorgeous hotel. The new owner has done a wonderful job remodeling this hotel. Love the lobby… so grand and elegant. All the furniture are very modern. The decoration & the art work are super chic. You won't believe that they have their own chapel inside the hotel! How cool is that~ We have very pleasant stay at this hotel!
Gorgeous hotel in lovely setting. Just outside the city so good to get away from hustle and bustle of Rome.
Just a couple of stops on metro and you are in the city centre where you can access all the sights.
Staff are very helpful and friendly. Booked our tour of Naples and Pompeii with them and all went very smooth.
Great atmosphere to chill with a drink in the many bar areas when you come back in the evening.
Has some great artwork and very cosmopolitan feel.
Breakfast is great with such choice.
Highly recommend it.
We stayed for 1 week in this hotel with no cocktail of welcome or even free water bottles.
This is a prestigious hotel with a costumer services at the TOP. The hotel has a very nice asset, it is close to everything. Domage that there is no swimming pool and a double glazing because when you are quoted course you hear everything!
The breakfast is well stocked it could be a more varied.
The cleaning is still wanted for me: when you bear the name "Palace" it owes a no fault and the this is really not the case with the dust on the chevais that accumulates at the fure and has measurements of days and above the closet when taking back the Valis they were in an unhealthy state that I had to take a rag to remove all the dirt there.
However we had a very good stay in Rome.
PS: thanks to the Mr de la Consiergerie who facilitated our stay.
Stunning hotel in lovely grounds. Security guards at the front of the grounds were especially friendly and the staff who made up the rooms who could not do enough to help you. Rooms a good size, and very clean. The breakfast has a fair amount of choice and food is fine. Only slight issue was the uncomfortable pillows & beds. If you like the idea of being slightly away from the busy centre of Rome, it’s perfect. There is also a metro station just a few minutes walk away, so the area outside the hotel did not bother us too much as there is easy access to other parts of Rome. Would recommend!
Staff prepared, great food, babysitting very helpful and efficient. Although there are so many people, everyone has its own spaces. Clean bathroom, nice garden, great security and welcome. Good!
Very good stylish hotel. Breakfast are not so extensive, but it's not a problem. Nice bar, openair lobby and restaurant inside hotel. In front the big park, but I can't find the entrance : (all gates are closed.
I have been for two more days at this hotel for a convention, beautiful the lobby and comfortable the bed. The rooms do not seem minimally a 5 star, the lunches, for the second year in a row, unfortunately, were made from advanced heated food of the dinner the previous day. From a 5 star I expect much more. I hope the service is better next year.
Great environment with a nice huge yard. Located a bit far from the main tourist attractions, but it's a nice getaway to avoid the noise at night. You can also find some authentic Roman restaurants in the neighborhood. (There is a direct shuttle bus called SITbus from/to the airport, only costs 6 Euros and it drops you off right in front of the hotel. ) The housekeeping staff and receptionists at the breakfast restaurant were friendly and helpful, however, some of the staff at the front desk weren’t very patient and they seemed to be poorly trained. I specificity wrote emails to inquire about the converters but I got different answers on the official FB website, the email and from different staff. I was surprised and upset by how the lady at the front desk wouldn't listen to our questions and started to speak with us in Italian…, but the gentleman in the morning did kindly confirm for us. The breakfast was alright but we were a bit tired of the same food after the third morning. Also I could hear people talking in the hallway and the guests upstairs taking showers or flushing the toilet. Overall, it's a nice place to stay at for the night, considering it was renovated from a church, but not so ideal if you are looking for a hotel to spend the whole day or most of your time at. And I really appreciated the gentleman at the front desk in the morning for helping me, it would've solved me a lot of trouble if the other two staff were as patient and professional as he was.
Beautiful hotel but you'll be damned if you booked an economy room and been sent to the 4th floor. It's the pits and you'll be treated like a leper. And good luck getting the lift to work. Also breakfast is horrendous, trying to find a clean table is a nightmare when there are only 2 staff. 1 filling up the empties and the other, a young male, putting 2knives, 2 forks and 2 napkins on a tray and trying to sort 1 table at a time. Very short of staff everywhere you look. The ones who are there seem to be doing the job of about 3 people so not their fault. 4stars? I don't think so. I've stayed at much better 2star places. Don't go, book somewhere else!
The lobby and the public spaces are very nice. Our rooms were a bit small and the beds are not comfortable. The service was ok and the shuttle to town was very convenient.
The hotel is gorgeous and I love the location but the cleanliness could be improved especially in the washrooms. The washrooms are also very dated. I was expecting better and cleaner wahsroms, so I got a bit disappoined. Saying that, I love the fact that it was just one block from the subway station and they have a big and beautiful backyard where my kids were able to run.
Lux. Extralux. Total Black. A unique experience different to do in Rome. We're RI. None surprised that… it is still a property of the Roman Catholic Church. But does Papa Bergoglio know?
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
First impressions are everything and this has the wow factor. Our room wasn't the best in fairness but we got upgraded the next night. Very enjoyable.
Luxury Hotel, great location, ample parking, large structure, all renovated and functional. A particular mention for the courtesy and professionalism of the staff. I do not put the fifth star just for the size of the rooms, at least the ones I saw, that Mia I would expect more generous footage for a hotel of this level.
Impressive building but when you step inside it is excessively decorated. It could be more classic to match the outside and the marvellous surroundings that make you feel that you are in the Roman countryside.
Very nice building and Nice park, was disappointed by the very some aspect of my noisy room what's more.
The staff are smiling and very welcoming.
Just got back from a week at this hotel. Couldn’t wish for a better place. Good food, great service, wonderful staff. Highly recommended.
The general feeling of the hotel is nice. Rooms with high ceiling, nice lounge. But, rooms are not so noise proof, you can hear noises from around. The furniture is dated, the TV is not HD. Having a deluxe rooms, we had to ask twice for a robe, that was supposed to be included. But the building and location is nice.
We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights. The Room was very small The shower had a little problem and as soon as we reported it it was repaired.
Also Very good location close to the Metro to go downtown and convenient arriving by car. We also had the opportunity to take a tour in the park and it was well kept.
Good Breakfast and Restaurant although a little overpriced.
Very helpful Staff.
The only thing a little to review are the interior furnishings a bit too dark.
The hotel was surrounded by a magical Christmas atmosphere. The level of reception and stay was excellent. The kindness and the services offered during the stay were such that they have made our stay at this hotel enchanting. We thank you for what you have donated to our stay with you and certainly we will be honored to return with as much enthusiasm.
We stayed here for a week in November and it was brilliant. The hotel is only 5 minutes from the underground station but far enough from the main road that it's quiet and serene. Our room was large and comfortable and very clean with amenities like a local phone and car service. Breakfast was always fresh and tasted great. Would definately stay here again.
Beautiful hotel, nice and elegant in a great location to visit Rome. Friendly and helpful Staff, common spaces refined and well kept. Comfortable and spacious rooms with everything you need, available in the room even a mobile phone with unlimited calls and city guide app! The hotel has entrance with guarded access driveway, ample parking, bar and restaurant. Stunning value for money!
I left the phone charger and said there was nothing. Liars.
Imposing structure and very elegant, it does not seem almost to be in Rome… Resting on Villa Carpegna, it is a happy oasis a few kilometers from the Vatican. Prices, at least of the restaurant, not very high, very helpful staff. There is also a huge parking lot, what a rare bike in Rome, and a concierge service… In short, an excellent structure and very interesting. A flaw? I can't think of.
Lovely hotel. The staff were very nice and accommodating with information, assistance in renting a car, and recommended restaurants. I rented one of their little SMART cars and drove to Hadrian’s Palace. What a lot of fun driving into Tivoli and finding a great meal. The room was very comfortable. All in all, a very nice stay and not a bad walk into Roma Centre.
It's not what it looks like, a luxurious place in access, but the rooms are small you can't even walk between the bed, and if you book with any app be very careful! I book a double room, and when we arrived it turns out it was only for one person, we had to pay extra person and also the taxes for the entire reservation because as they were not included, this just happened to me in Italy…
It was very pleasant to stay with you. The staff was very attentive to me. Its services were all excellent.
I would recommend this place 100% and I would definitely stay with you on my next visit.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Remote area of tumult, easy to communicate and very careful surroundings.
Very well taken care of. Excellent place to rest.
Great for congresses, conventions and weddings with high degree of Parkeggio kitchen inside near metro station.
Very nice, quiet and clean… modern style, very kind and playful staff… unfortunately they are not organized with the restaurant because they prepare only x groups.
Not recommended. No suitcase service. Room old and dirty.
Tungers sticky in the breakfast room.
Reception everything very stylish almost 5 stars. Quietly located. Breakfast not so doll. Classic Room 3 star level.
International guests,. The hotel is a bit out of the Immenstadt, so you can enjoy the peace and quiet after a busy day.
The staff is very nice and the location is very good. Adequate services, pleasant stay and highly recommended.
If you apply Italian standards, there is probably a star more in it. Internet is free, but a login with Facebook is still required. Room service only up to 2200. Breakfast takes place in a hall called The Circus.
Amazing hotel — far enough from the city centre to be peaceful but still accessible enough via the metro to be able to expierence all Rome has to offer. Best part of the room as an English tourist was the free android phone in the room with "Handy App". This allowed me to plan and book while at breakfast and then carry the map and information with you. Would definitely stay here if I return to Rome.
I love it. Very modern. It reminds me of XXX with Vin Diesel. Lol. Its in the cuts. Some people complained about the neighborhood but it seems like all of the other neighborhoods I've encountered in Rome Its super close to the Metro which my husband and I love. It allows us to really explore the city we visit. The staff is very helpful.
Nice Location, helpful staff, clean rooms, great food. Too bad for the extremely noisy cleaning ladies to talk to each other (they woke me up 4 times).
Hotel bedrooms are not 4 star, the first room we were given the wallpaper was coming off the wall, asked to be upgrade and was charges 150 Euro the room was better but the bathroom needed upgrading. The lobbies in the hotel were lovely and the hotel was very clean. But not 4 star they even charged us for a bottle of water from the mini bar. Would not stay again.
Stayed here with my 2 friends for 5days and we all absolutely loved it. The hotel is simply beautiful, pictures don't do it justice. Staff were all very friendly and polite and the wonderful 'Mr C' concierge service was a god send. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they were very knowledgable about local restaurants and the best ways to travel around the city. The hotel is set away from all the hussle and bustle and is set in beautiful grounds, Transport links r so close this really is the ideal spot. While we were staying here it was my birthday, when we came back from our day of sightseeing our room was decorated in balloons, rose petals and candles such a lovely touch.
I honestly can't rave about this place enough. Only one thing I can say this place is lacking is a swimming pool, but all the other features more than make up for it.
I will b recommending this hotel to all my friends and I will definitely be rebooking. THANKU church palace for a trip that I will never forget. Xxx.
The room was clean to a high standard. The architecture of the whole building is absolutely stunning. The marble floor and walls, the decor in the lobby make you feel like a million dollars every time you enter and exit the building. The check-in staff and Mr. C (concierge) are extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast buffet is varied and delicious. My grandmother said that the cappuccino is fantastic.
I attended a convention. I can't evaluate the rooms. The structure is in the middle area about km. 1 from metro line A stop Cornelia.
Very elegant and refined. It is a renovated church today hotel. Beautiful and relaxing Location with beautiful gardens.
I'm staying here for a study abroad program and I think it's okay for a 4 star hotel. I expected a 4 star hotel to use their AC outside of rooms. To be honest, I'm actually quite not sure if they use their AC outside of the rooms but based on my experience, it's hot whenever you 're not in a room. Whenever I walked into the building and the lobby outside, I didn't feel like the AC was on and I only felt relief from the heat because the building protected me from the Sun. However, as long as you're not moving too much, the hotel's temperatture is just right. Also, we paid for lunch as part of our program but we only have a 45 min window to eat. Besides that, so far the hotel is great in that the food is delicious and it has this quiet atmosphere.
I was at the Church Palace for a private party. Charming place, new, with special rooms. Nice exterior L. Very good food and service.
We spent one night at the beginning or our holiday and two nights at the end — for a total of three nights at this property. It was a large group of 70+ for a wedding from Canada. We were the travel agents and I must say, we were both impressed and thrilled with the Church Palace. The property itself is stunning, the staff is friendly, courteous and helpful and the rooms were lovely and well-appointed. All guests raved about the hotel! This was their very first impression of Italy as we headed out for 10 days before returning for two days at the end and it was a perfect impression. Thank you for your professionalism and for making each and every one of us feel welcomed and at home. We will absolutely be bringing more groups to this fabulous property. I'm currently in my room, here at the Palace Hotel. The beds are so uncomfortable and need to be replaced! You can feel the springs from underneath you. I am here with my two children and three other adults and we all hate the individual beds. We are using two different rooms and same problem. I have not been able to get a good night sleep and if it wasn't for the location and high tourism tune making reservations elsewhere difficult, we would have left. I am not picky and stayed here five years ago. Five years ago this place was nicely kept up and clean, now it seems as though this place has taken a turn. It's not bad for the price and location but even my little ones are having trouble sleeping in these beds.
Spacious suite rooms with walking distance of a Metro station. Good for couples and families who need a week in a room big enough and not too expensive. Furthermore there is a good jogging path/grounds next to the hotel. Decor is commendable. Only faults are lack of enough staff at times, like no one at concierge desk a lot of the time. Good breakfast spread but have seen better in Italy in similarly priced hotels. In all, good for someone who needs a spacious room to crash in, for reasonable prices and should be willing to take a 22 minute metro ride or taxi to the city.
A lovely hotel. Everything was excellent. Clean, luxurious but cozy too, yummy breakfast, close to the metro station and really IN a park but with security. Ideal for couples as well as for families. Great people working there too. Loved it! I surelly recommend it!
Excellent design, spacious and comfortable area, helpful and courteous staff.
Very nice outdoor location, Interior not to my taste. Excessively high cost of bars, room for improvement.
I was at The Palace for a Conference and luncheon. Great facility, beautifully furnished, landscaped spaces. Staff courteous and very professional.
Prestigious location in via Aurelia easily reachable by all means is with a motor car. A refined atmosphere and excellent facilities are offered.
Very satisfied with the staff at first, the hotel is very charming and the rooms are great, all the family enjoyed. We where there for just two nights but hope to come back again. Thanks.
Never been so bad seen.
A beautiful setting for an impressive hotel. The old building seems to have been renovated recently and it offers the usual amenities. Nothing out of the usual but good quality. The meeting rooms are nice and big but somewhat unpractical for meetings where a lot of technology is needed (no installed beamer, you cannot stick anything to the walls etc. ). The personal seemed very helpful but a colleague complained about one of the people at the check-in. I had no issues.
From the outside, very chic, but the facade is deceptive! The bathroom and especially the shower is filled with mold, and the whole room stinks afterwards! Bathroom partly polluted. The room is very dark, everything looks more like a 2 star Hotel! Beds were but clean. The food is extremely average. Wi-Fi there with good reception. Staff helps in planning to the sights, which was very positive. The location is in Odrnung but only because the Metro Station is nearby. Otherwise, there are really better places. All in all, really amazing what elsewhere all 4 stars get! For a short stay it is tolerable but otherwise it's outrageous what as 4 star is sold! Longer than 1-2 days, I would not be in this mold-Mufft recommend! The rooms are simply hell! Really not to recommend! The facade is deceptive!
My friends & I stayed here for 4 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The Hotel Staff were ALWAYS very professional, helpful & courteous to our many requests and enquires. They were attentive and spoke English fluently and is by far the best trained hotel staff I have encountered. On entering the hotel foyer I felt a sense of peacefulness and tranquility in the hotel. From the moment we arrived The Front Office Manager — Stefano explained our rooms were not ready bearing in mind we arrived at the Hotel quite early, and suggested we either relax in the Lobby or go for a walk. The Porter was there to relieve us of our luggage to store away and The Concierge Sayoh made suggestions of places we can visit. The Room was considerably large, unbelievably comfortable, beautiful and spotless. The bathrooms were large and well equipped with complimentary toiletries & lots of storage space. Air conditioning was quiet and powerful. During our stay another Concierge Leo was ever so considerate! Both Leo & Sayoh answered our numerous questions, requests for directions, places to eat etc. The hotel food is fantastic. The buffet breakfast was the best I have seen in a 4 star hotel especially the variety available at breakfast. Oh & there’s free Wi-Fi! unlike other hotels in Rome;
Awesome, beautiful property within walking distance from the Centre and the subway. Rental vehicles directly to receiption. Very clean and friendly staff.
Superior 4 star hotel with a very good value for money
The rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly.
Room service prices are very low.
The Park of villa carpegna in front is really cool.
This hotel is amazing, I spent here 1 week and it was really a fantastic experience, staff is really helpful and my room was very clean. The restaurant is nice and dishes are relaly good. The location is wonderful.
Where should I start? We have a great Hotel for a Rome Tour is searched for and are on the Church Palace is encountered. The pictures spoke for themselves, 4 star + and great ambience. So, we are full of anticipation angreist. The Hotel is located in not so good area, well, it may indeed be nothing, and from the outside it looks bombastic. The small Park around the Hotel makes on the first glance, no desires open and we entered. All black marble and very chic. But then came the great awakening… Check in: There were three receptionists at the reception. No one greeted us, no "welcome" and you had rather the feeling that you are bothering. After a dry time of check in, we were with a very superficial description of the room sent. No explanation of where everything is, who to us where could help, where the Breakfast is, or even a Hospitable word. The way to the room: marble flooring as far as one could see. But on closer Inspection, walls were very worn and dingy. None of the hotel staff, the way crossed also have only one tone said. In the room arrived Here, then it went right off. The walls were completely dirty, everywhere traces of hands, suitcases, strips, etc, The bed was clean, but everywhere on desserts and shelves were jars and Flaschenabdrücke to see. Everything was a bit sticky… The air conditioning was loud and blubberte. The bathroom was small and shabby, everything was dirty. The shower was full of mould and Dirt.
Staff were extremely rude. While having dinner, the hotel had only 3 people serving dinner for a crowd over 100 people… lobby looked great however rooms left so much to be desired…
A great hotel with the typical Italian charm. The hotel is unique as it used to belong to the Vatican and still possess all the clues from its former owner. Part of the hotel still is the old Chappel. The lobby looks fantastic and the rooms are decent. Although the bathroom seems slightly aged for the level of detail that is shown in the rest of the hotel. The meeting facilities are great and highly recommended. The food as always in Italy was great but nothing to keep your diet going. Bring a lot of iron will to stay away from all the luscious sweets and snacks that are offered at the breakfast, lunch and the bar throughout the day! The disappointing part were the shower, which did not close fully, the pillows which were basically useless and the surrounding which were in a very disappointing disrepair compared to the standard of the interior. However, due to my tight programme, I did not complain and I am sure that they would have done anything possible as the personell was extremely friendly and helpful at all times. You need to try the mozzarella balls at the bar which come with your drinks.
Too "American-influenced" with black marble halls, but also in the food. Way over priced.
This hotel looks very lovely on approach. However the staff are rude, unhelpful and someone from the hotel tried to break into my suitcase. The rooms are very dusty, the sheets are not changed daily. otherwise, if your staying for a short period, then it is ok, however the standard of staff at this hotel is not 4 star, its more like a 2 star hotel.
We arrived and it took several hours for our room to be prepared but for the rest of our 7 days there were great, just the service that let us down but other than that, good.
This hotel is not recommended. It works great at first glance, but if you look more closely at it is shocked what is sold as four star hotel! The staff is unfriendly and tried to draw young holidaymakers across the table! It's much too far outside for a short break, but the Metro station is Cornelia. The food is also to be desired. The bread dry, the fruits of old and otherwise you can find anything tasty! Rooms are taken and the rooms on the fourth floor are mostly musty and dusty, also there are no free Wi-Fi in the rooms.
We were very disappointed. When we arrived we found that the Bar and Restaurant were closed due to renovations, although there was nothing being done in the restaurant or bar as far as we could see. Our rooms were up in the attic with no window only a skylight! This is not a 4 star hotel and we had to pay 3 euros per person per night based on it being a 4 star. A very disappointing experience.
Hotel is not so Dolle, mould in the rooms, the bathroom has its best time already behind it, no Wi-Fi, the breakfast room is large and cold, too far outside concourses character for a city trip.
Very nice hotel good breakfast but no Wi-Fi in the room.
Very good hotel.
Bath or shower seem somewhat upset.
But other than to recommend, very nice waiter/staff.
Very nice for courses or seminars.

RespondPros: -everything has been re-modeled -dining room is VERY large so even when tour groups stay there is enough room for everyone -breakfast is massive, with endless options -cafes and small restaurants close by -lovely patio and garden in front of hotel Cons: -not close to major attractions -air conditioning doesnt seem to cool entire room (possibly due to poor insulation around windows) -slow elevators.
