Literally the worst! My fiancée left a review two years ago that our trip was cancelled in May of 2020 because of Covid. The hotel refused to issue us a refund (literally the only place that wasn’t willing). We are now planning to rebook our original itinerary in May of 2023 so I reached out figuring I’d give them a chance to make things right and offer us a room based on our previous paid room that they never refunded. Of course they respond back and say they can not do this. For reference this is literally only a one night stay and they refused to refund us during covid and now won’t even try and make things right when they have a chance. Please save yourself the aggravation and book a hotel with someone that actually cares about you as a customer.

Booked a reservation on this hotel and canceled it but won’t give me my refund! I am also disputing it to my credit card! I have called them 4x and they are dancing with me with the refund process! This people are terrible and horrible I will not stop I will call you every day and will let people know how you treat your customers.

I asked to rebook a reservation I made in March 2019 — for June 2020 — to June 2021 and am so disappointed in the hotel & service. I didn’t ask for a refund, I asked to rebook. They offered for me to pay for a new non-refundable booking BUT no credit. Absolutely disgraceful!

A beautiful experience. Very attentive and friendly staff. They also prepared me a very good Gluten free breakfast and a special cake for my birthday. I'll definitely be back with pleasure.

So disappointed in the hotel & service. I cannot legally travel to Italy from Australia for a trip planned before COVID19. The hotel is refusing to refund my money or even give me a credit voucher! Unbelievable in such a hard time! They are now not even answering my emails to ask for consideration of a credit.

Beautiful boutique hotel with a great view of the surf. Great staff. Try the bistro downstairs. Best carbonara of my life! Limoncello was lovely as well.

I agree about the beds. Hard as a board. Other than that, the restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Food was wonderful and unexpectedly reasonable. Our breakfast, included in the room fee, was quite good. The staff was excellent and the public spaces are very nice.
It appears that they have upgraded some things since our last visit. Hopefully they will continue on and upgrade the guest rooms.

We stayed at the San Giorgio. From the the eving, to the time they provided transportation to the ship, the staff was helpful, courteous, & went above and beyond. They were easy to deal with and answered all my emails promptly and provided transportation from the airport to the hotel. The bed was comfortable.
We would definitely return.

Highly recommend the Hotel San Giorgio! We booked our stay almost a year in advance for a four night stay prior to a cruise. Communication was great and they emailed a number of suggestions for things to do during our visit. Pickup from the airport was smooth and convenient. We hired their driver to take us to Rome for the day, and received a very Personalized tour. The staff accommodated us at every tun, and the buffet breakfast was much better than any you get in a chain hotel with eggs, meat, cheeses and wonderful pastries. But the absolute best thing we did was take their private cooking class from Damy Mary. Pictures tell the story.

We stayed at the San Giorgio. From the time I booked it to the time they provided transportation to the ship, the staff was helpful, courteous, & went above and beyond. They were easy to deal with and answered all my emails promptly and provided transportation from the airport to the hotel. The room overlooked the ocean and was nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable but I requested extra pillows. The staff suggested places to visit and restaurants in the city after they ascertained what we were interested. Their restaurant was fantastic. Highly recommend eating there.

Dinner at Hotel San Giorgio, invited by wedding anniversary. Very refined structure and set-up. Waiters a little less refined for the location. Good food all except The fried that remained a bit oily.

Clean and refined hotel, with great value for money, especially considering that the b&bs around ask for 50/70 euros for nightmare rooms and with 10 euros more you have the chance to stay in a beautiful property. I am your regular customer (I travel for 3 years every Friday to civitavecchia, but for fear of high prices I had never come in to ask, what a pity) Thank the staff for the availability.

We were en route via airplane to this Hotel in celebration of our 50th Wedding Anniversary when we received an email from them cancelling our reservation because they overbooked their rooms. We had made our reservations three months in advance and it was too late to turn around or make other arrangements! They had us over the barrel and transferred us to another hotel in the countryside with nothing else around but cows! The other hotel did not have the rating that we paid for with the San Giorgio. NOT HAPPY AT ALL! They offered us free drinks and dinner if we stopped in and then reneged on that offer and charged us for the drinks and no dinner! Not the way to do business and keep customers happy!

We celebrated our wedding at the Hotel San Giorgio. Everything was perfect and the staff managed to make us live the fairytale party we dreamed of. Everyone complimented us on the food and the lovely location.
A special thank you goes to Beatrice, with her beautiful set-ups and her constant attention, to Eleanor, who has always listened to us to make sure that everything goes perfectly, to the maitre, always present that day and attentive to our needs, and to the chef, who has delighted everyone!

Booked our room 8 months in advance. It was confirmed and gauranteed and 5 days before our arrival San Giorgio cancelled my reservation due to their overbooking. Seems to me they should have cancelled the reservTion that was recently booked not mine made 8 months in advance. Worse part was after I complained to them they offered me an appetizer at their restUrant next time I was in town. No thanks. This is very poor business in my opinion as you should stay away.

Staff is super cozy, we arrived super late and they welcomed us without any problem, they even left a note on the door as we missed the cleaning the service because we woke up super late (long flight and driving trip). They have their own parking at a 10 eur per day with direct access to the hotel, that is pretty good taking into account that parkings in Italy are crowded.

Great location but rooms are a put off! Breakfast lady not welcoming at all … limited staff to handle requests.

Great hotel, where the professionalism and kindness of the property and the staff makes all the difference. Excellent also the services offered (dinner, breakfast) ; Very convenient to the central location of the hotel.

Very nice hotel… a bit old style… rooms quite spacious and clean.

Recommendations were accurate. All communications with hotel staff via e-mail were consistently prompt and precise. Transportation arranged via the hotel was executed to perfection.
And once we arrived we immediately felt welcome. Front desk staff unfailingly helpful and happy.
The room was a lovely loft with a terrace overlooking the sea beyond.
If you’re planning on staying for just one pre or post-cruise you might as well make it 2 nights to save yourself the regret of leaving too soon… like we did :)
Sometimes when it comes to vacation planning the best surprise is no surprise; San Giorgio is a sure thing.

Very good location on the sea front and not far from the cruise terminal. Our room for. 2 was adequate but a little old fashioned. Restaurant was very good and roof terrace for breakfast would have been great if it hadn't been raining!

The third time I've stayed here now. Lovely location on the sea-front; opulent, elegant reception area; helpful, friendly staff; large, comfortable rooms; restaurant that serves some of the finest food in the area.

If you're visiting Civitavecchia for a cruise, this hotel is a great choice for pre or post cruise. We were able to arrange transportation from the airport to the hotel for 50 euro, which included transportation to the port. The service was first rate, from communication prior to our arrival via email, through check-in as well as check out. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast is included, which was more than adequate. Lovely pastries, fruit, eggs and bacon. I would suggest staying in Civitavecchia for a few days before or after your cruise. The area has much to offer. Ocean front views, lovely restaurants and nice walking paths. We can't wait to return to the hotel and enjoy the atmosphere again.

Great hotel pre-cruise in Civitavecchia. Service was excellent. For a small fee we were able to upgrade our room and check-in before 2pm. Staff was great, they were always smiling. Bathrooms were renovated recently but rooms have older furniture. But everything else was great.

We spent the New Year's Eve in the restaurant at the roof Garden… spectacular place to view… very chic and cared for in detail, but a disorganization never seen or justifiable for such a structure. It's never all gold that shines. Never again.

After 800 kms we have been warmly welcomed by 2 friendly receptionists. Nice spacious clean room with view on the sea.

Terrible. My husband waited for 15 minutes to check while 3 people walked right in front of him and the hotel staff assisted them first. When we finally reached the room the door was unlocked and wide open — our room was tiny and two levels, the bedroom was more like a loft. The bathroom was extremely tiny and the shower was even smaller — my average height husband barely fit in it. They offered Wi-Fi but it did not work in our room, we had to go into the hall just to get a signal. The hotel staff was extremely unhelpful and rude. I would never stay here again and wouldn't recommend.

Very good hotel, clean and elegant, amongst the best in town. The restaurant is very valid. Prices in line with a hotel of this price range.

Good service with good compliance with health regulations. Fried foods are a bit too greasy, the advice is to dry them with paper towels.

Very friendly and helpful staff, only a microwave television and somewhat unsightly or missing grout in the bathroom!

Although the place was great. I will start with a helpful tip for cruise-goers. As much as you ask the very helpful staff, they will not admit that two blocks away at the port entrance, you can ride a free shuttle to whichever cruise liner you are riding with; instead they will try to sell you on their shuttle that will take you to your ship directly. It's 10 euros per person to use hotel shuttle. I luckily found this out when I was exchanging money. They dont have any wireless internet. The only internet that is available costs 3 euros an hour. (or 10 for the day) and you must use it on a slow machine that is riddled with docs and kinda slow). For these reasons, I am giving this place a 3 star. Overall the experience was good: Clean room that overlooks the sea/ beds were relatively comfortable/ bath tubs are very deep/ Bidet included :) / there were american electric plugs available in the room also if you want a converter just ask the front desk/ Staff was very helpful and did know English (although you may need to explain the things you want a little further). Breakfast was delicious and served on their upper floor (5th floor) dining hall which overlooks the sea.
