The most wonderful hotel we have stayed in in Europe! The staff was above and beyond helpful, bringing lemon tea right to the door, UNASKED FOR, when they heard my husband who is in cancer recovery had an upset stomach, and made a point of asking every day how he was. Truly kind wonderful people. Accommodations were fantastic, comfy quiet rooms, great breakfast, not a bad word to say! Location also was wonderful! Would highly highly recommend! ❤️❤️❤️

This hotel is a gem. It is perfectly situated (once you learn the hidden entrance to the courtyard). The staff truly went above and beyond. The room was very nice and very clean and blissfully had air conditioning. The breakfast was terrific with lots of options. I absolutely recommend it.

Tricky maneuver to find this cul de sac not far from the square. But an oasis of Venice. Wonderful staff, amenities and breakfast.

The hotel is a beautiful place with amazing courtyard which lead to the entrance of the hotel. The room I was in was well designed and maintained with a lovely venetian look. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They also made a effort to cater for our needs which made it feel like they cared about our wellbeing. The breakfast was well presented and tasted wondeful which was the reason I looked forward to breakfast each morining. I would return to this hotel again if I came back to Venice.

Enough reviews have mentioned the problem of getting there (I did too, with four people in tow), so here's what I will always remember. 1) Get out of the RR Station and head to your right in the open space. You are looking for Vaporetto # 1. It is slower than the vaporetto which is faster, makes fewer stops, loads from the left-hand side of the open space and always has lines of people waiting. The makes getting off and finding the Al Codega much easier. Buy your ticket inside the RR Station and then validate that ticket at the machine on the small pier, on the right as I said, where the arrives. 2) Stay on the # 1, on its left hand side if you can, until it arrives at the Rialto pier. Get off there. 3) As you face the buildings, look for the first narrow street/alley on your right, called Calle del Carbon. Take it until it empties in a small square called Campo San Luca. 4) Look up high, on the corner of buildings, to find their names. In Campo San Luca, turn left and head for the upper left-hand corner of the large space. 5) There you will find Calle Goldoni. Take it until there is a seeming T or a split, at which point you have to go left or right. 6) Go right. In the middle of that block, on the right, you will see an archway opening and a short tunnel-way into an ample courtyard with a well. The Al Codega is in there, in the right-hand corner. Ah, I forgot to mention: factor in at least 30 minutes for vaporetto transportation time. :)

Wonderful place. The location is pretty straightforward to get to from the ferry (for Venice at least) the rooms are done in a gorgeous classic Italian style that fits the area, they are clean and the room service are magicians. The courtyard the hotel is in is perfectly Venice and gorgeous. Along with the interior of the hotel. The concierge are some of the best I have encountered, super friendly and helpful, remembered us every time. Had good suggestions of places to go and how to get there. Spoke wonderful English. The included breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfasts I have experienced. Would highly recommend this location don’t really have a bad thing to say about it.

Extremely central hotel, with great service and a fun buffet. Recommended.

The staff were very friendly, smiling, nice, very professional.
They advised us two restaurants which were very good. Just by saying my name when I arrived, the person at the reception already knew what our reservation was and the specific items we had asked for.
Excellent Breakfast with homemade dishes/cakes, the fruits were very pretty and good, non-chemical juices. Even the presentation was very neat. The rooms had a lot of hidden, the bed was very comfortable. There is also an elevator.
The whole of the service is at the level of a 5 star. If we go back to Venice, we'll come back to this hotel.

Absolutely overrated! Central but very difficult to find small rooms. There are much better places to stay. Not recommended!

My Bf and I stayed 5 nights in the Al Codega Hotel. Literally the best hotel in Venice. The Location is central, the staff is super proficient always ready to help you. The breakfast was awesome! so rich of salami and cheese and yummy italian pastries! we had a little problem with the heat in the room, and they not only fixed the problem quickly but also provided us with extra heater! they helped us in reaching every place (everything is at walking distance) recommended REAL LOCAL eating places (we loved the Al Squero for the Cicchetti), and the hotel is so quiet (quiet bedrooms on an internal small piazza). They even offered us champain and chips for our anniversary! highly highly highly recommended. If you're looking for the best, this is it. And for a reasonable price as well!

A wonderful hotel located in a quiet historic square. The staff were accommodation, friendly and incredibly helpful. Do ask them for dinner/lunch recommendations when you stay there. On both occasions the food was delicious. Rooms were stylish and clean. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful with a great selection of juices.

The staff were very friendly and the room was Laage. You are also welcome to take the 25 min. Walk to the bus station… honestly meant recommendation!

This place has the best breakfast in Italy. I loved all the options and the finger sandwiches! The room was great. It was however a bit of a challenge finding the place ;)

Nice, really quiet hotel in San Marco close to the Rialto Bridge. Friendly and helpful staff.
Take Vaporetto 2 from the train station in two stops to Rialto.
Directions: From the Rialto stop on the right at the Canal Grande Lang to the left after a few meters a coop. Take the alley to the left of the coop. One arrives at Campo San Luca and has links opposite H&M. On the right side of the H&M take the small alley to the next, even smaller alley. Then immediately left again in the courtyard is the hotel.

VERY hard to locate! When they say it's hidden away, it really is. It's not until you see that most of those just arrived are totally disoriented that you go with the flow. Hotel was fine, staff lovely, not sure I'd stay again though.

Boutique hotel in venice. Great value excellent location even better brekky. Staff so friendly welcoming and helpful. Tricky to find at first but what isnt in venice. Private location and courtyard. Small room with view over courtyard. Perfect for 2 nights. Highly recommend. Deb & matt aussie.

Staff was friendly and pleasant every time at all hours. The hotel is centrally located for easy access to many parts of beautiful Venice. For a first stay, this was ideal. The area gets extremely busy and crowded nearby, but the side street and piazzetta that the hotel is located on is quieter and serves as a refuge. Also, the hotel breakfast was our favorite one during our entire trip! A+ of a hotel.

Its a hidden gem The beds are comfortable crisp white linen Fluffy white towels All toiletries are provided in bathroom A hairdryer — Breakfasts are catered to suit all nationalities A friendly staff awaits you at reception I will definitely do a Trip Advisor review to share our comfortable stay.

Family stay in this hotel! Staff very friendly and French speaking. The breakfast buffet is very good and varied. Perfect location, at the bottom of a quiet courtyard.

The style comes straight from the Comedia del Arte!
Period Style but room and common rooms very clean and nice.
Located right in the city center and yet it is hidden in a small alley which allows to be very close to shops and visits but to be quiet when you return.
The reception is perfect and warm by all the employees.
The +: Breakfast is just a drop, a lot of homemade things and that are delicious!
The —: Too bad they don't make a restaurant.

If you ever have the opportunity to visit Venice, and as a special treat, this hotel can't be bettered. So convenient situated, just 5 minutes from St Mark's Square but set in a secluded square. (So secluded, we had difficulty finding it when we arrived in the dark! ) Staff very helpful and welcoming, room, though compact, was beautifully furnished, and the breakfast was very varied and plentiful. I was there for a significant birthday, but my husband and I would book here on any return visit. (Loved the hotel's reaction to the US election! )

Central, quiet, very good service, 24/7 desk and bar, and one of the best breakfasts I have ever had in a hotel.

Staff was very attentive. All requests are fast and effective treatment. Hotel is located in a quiet courtyard for all attractions are walkable. We had a great room, very spacious, good quality linen towels, and complimentary slippers and safety products. Ask for a free water bottle, as well as tea and milk 5 euro, spent our 3 nights here. Buffet breakfast is delicious and varied. Room has a computer with free and fast Wi-Fi for free. Front desk staff is happy to help us to print out our return journey the boarding pass. All of this makes us very happy here.

Loved it, charming… quaint, immaculate, looks brand new, high end … Beds are a bit HARD… great staff, awesome breakfast… Location is perfect. In a hidden away courtyard… Just lovely. There were 3 couples we stayed two nights we all loved it. Price was very good for Venice and location. We all highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic hotel, very nice staff, wonderful beds, nicely renovated hotel. Breakfast is more than expected, the location of the hotel is in the absolute center, between St Mark square and Rialto bridge. Only issues is to find the place but it is worth looking for:).

Well located, modern, clean, good breakfast.

We have spent five days in the hotel in August 2010 with friends and were completely thrilled. The location is super Central (if you took it once). The rooms are very nice and the staff is super friendly. Breakfast very good and also the small bar invites you to linger (drink prices are cheaper than in the vicinity of the M. — square). We would again choose the hotel in any case and it can recommend in good conscience.

Stylish, clean rooms only the bathroom (is very small). Nice staff. Good breakfast. We have felt very much at home. Thank you very much.
