➜ A dream inn.
Cosy, warm, you feel at home, thanks also to the hospitality of Alessandra kind "mistress of the house" available, courteous, capable and competent.
Rooms that are spacious, bright, clean, bathrooms that are equally clean and have all the necessary accessories including the hair dryer!
A "TOP" terrace from which to enjoy beautiful breakfasts and from which to admire a fantastic view of the roofs of the lagoon, the facades of the houses, the bridges and the small canal that crosses the calle.
The Inn is located in a quiet and silent position that invites silence: a silence interrupted only by the passage, here and there, of small boats or by the pleasant and relaxing flight of seagulls.
An equally strategic location for its proximity to: Campo San Barnaba, Ca Rezzonico, the Rafts, and with a few more "bridges", at the Academy.
You just have to stay there…
I hope to return soon, in the meantime I recommend it to all those who want to enjoy Venice not in the "bite and run" time of a day, but in a longer time space.

Ca' San Trovaso gives you the best of Venice — residential peace and quiet, restaurants frequented by locals, and pleasant lodging close by anything you'd want to see. It is located on a quiet canal in the Dorsoduro, a peaceful, off-the-beaten-path neighborhood we highly recommend. It is within a few minutes walk to several vaporetto stops, and never more than a half hour walk to anywhere on the island (unless you stroll and make lots of stops, of course). The hostess and owner, Alessandra, was very hospitable. We told her approximately when we would be arriving, and although we were running late, she was standing outside on the lookout and greeted us with a warm smile. Her English is fairly good, and with our small understanding of basic Italian communication was no problem. Our room, was as pretty as the pictures with an old world charm. The bathroom was clean and modern and included a bidet, toilet, sink, and large shower. Breakfast was simple but tasty, and it was delivered to our room on a pretty tray each morning. There is a pleasant rooftop seating area to access with your breakfast tray or to watch the sunset. I would recommend room for the following reasons, in addition to those already noted: 1. It is in the back corner of the building with no one on either side, so we heard no other guests in their rooms. 2. You may choose to pay extra for a canal view, and that is fine.
